I purchased this about a month ago but unfortunately I had to return it since about a week after using it I noticed there was a bump forking on the bottom of it. I took it into best buy & this was the battery that was swelling. Other than that I was really happy with the laptop but that was a big no for me.

fast and light -- this was what I was looking for!

I bought this because I wanted an alternative to constantly having to upgrade my iPads, and also carrying around a laptop. I was hoping to use this device for basic word processing, checking emails, and playing solitaire. Nothing very heavy, but nonetheless very much an important part of my routine (I am autistic and have a schedule I keep myself to). Not even all the way through setup, the device begins to freeze and stutter, and the screen would shut off for a few seconds and come back on during setup. Overall, very disappointing. When playing a very basic, small download size version of solitaire, I knew that there was a serious lack of processing power, or at least not good use of the one in this device, and returned it. I wanted to love this so, so bad!

There are a lot of things to like about this Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 and one of my favorites is the fiesta red color. Who needs the typical gray laptop when color adds much more design and fun to the aluminum chassis. Choose the fiesta red; you won’t regret it. The display is very nice and the 13.3” FHD QLED panel is impressive considering the price point for this Chromebook. In the weeks we have been using this Chromebook for streaming videos we’ve been very happy with the display quality. Rather impressive that Samsung states this Chromebook produces over a billion colors at 100% volume. Functionality is still there with a 2-in-1 design to use as a conventional laptop or flip to a tablet for a more compact form. Though no longer provided with the Chromebook, there is a pen that may be purchased separately. Another important feature is battery life up to 13 hours with one charge. We’ve experienced no significant difference in our use and have not found battery life to be a limiting factor for our use. At a lower price point compared to earlier Chromebook models we also found the Intel i3 processor and 8GB of RAM plenty adequate to meet our needs. Whether browsing on the internet, streaming video or using other applications we found the performance to be responsive. Utilization of this Chromebook is rather seamless for those who typically use Chrome, Google Drive and Google apps. The keyboard is decent and has ample spacing for comfortable use. Backlit feature for the keyboard is a definite plus. Two USB-C ports are available, a headphone jack and a microSD card reader. The sound quality is ample, but not anything over the top. Touch screen works well and can be complimented with any USI pen. Samsung has done a nice job with the Galaxy Chromebook 2 by offering a portable, sleek design in an enjoyable, eye catching color. The value is very good with specs that provide a nice option for those seeking a QLED display and an Intel i3 that will more than meet the everyday tasks of studying, internet use or video streaming.
