Customers are saying

Customers praise the Galaxy Fit Activity Tracker + Heart Rate for its excellent battery life, ease of use, and comfortable size. Many appreciate the accurate sleep and step tracking, along with the device's lightweight design and ability to receive phone notifications. However, some users experienced issues with the band breaking or compatibility problems with non-Samsung phones. A few also felt the features were somewhat limited compared to other fitness trackers.

    Battery life failing

I bought this, my first fitness tracker, right when they were released. It was between a FitBit and this. I chose this because if its compatibility with my phone notifications. I did have trouble at first with it not resetting steps but that only lasted a couple if days. It has been a great motivator reminding me when I have been inactive too long, counting steps, receiving notifications from my phone, tracking heart rate, and connecting to MapMyFitness. The screen it pretty hearty although I wish it had a slightly better glass because I have managed to scratch mine putting three big scratches on the face. If you are a little clumsy it is going to get scratched. The watch was uncomfortable at first to wear but I got over that in a few days. The band is soft and easy to adjust. I go back and forth between two holes on the band depending on how bloated I am. But I mostly wear it slightly lose and it still seems to track. MapMyFitness tracks by MET and Endomondo tracks by heart rate. I like to run both while exercising to get an average, but I was only able to get it to connect to Endomondo once. Endomondo cannot find the monitor. My biggest issue is the battery life, which was great a first. Charge on Sunday, my day of rest, then it would run the rest of the week. I am about six weeks into my purchase and it died on Friday midday. I made sure it was fully charged because the week prior it died early, too. I attributed this to charging on the previous Saturday. But I am pretty certain the battery is subpar and this is a pattern of it slowly fading and I have let it die before charging every single time except last week. Sometimes it will track my fitness automatically even though I have that setting turned off in Galaxy Wear. The instructions are terrible. You only get a quick guide. Even the Galaxy Wear info about the watch is VERY limited. I went online and finally found some other instructions but I would say they were still incomplete. It took me a while to figure out all the icons that appear to indicate disconnection from phone, notifications, etc. And I cannot find a way to set the resting HR even though I have read everything and wear it in my sleep. I plan to contact Samsung but I am not the only one with a battery complaint. Overall I have liked it but not sure I would recommend it with this battery issue.

My god, I love this fitness tracker! Gorgeous screen, very customizable, waterproof, super responsive. Only thing I can't tell yet is the battery life since I just picked it up but 10/10 would purchase again.

Heart rate is off and sleep tracking is broken

I strongly dislike this thing. It's frustrating for me. I'm upset about it because I previously had the Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro and it was great. I loved it. Now, Samsung has left me disappointed. To start with the positives, I like the way it looks. I love that the display is in color and not just ugly black and white, like the Fitbit at this price point. That would pretty much be it for positives. For the negatives, first of all, I don't like that you have to basically install 2 apps to have this thing integrate with the phone. I just find that frustrating and annoying and neither Fitbit nor Apple require that with their watches. But that's a minor annoyance. The heart rate it shows me is always wrong and off by a lot. I have never had this issue with another watch before. If I have just finished running and am totally out of breath, I know that my heart rate isn't 70. My biggest gripe about this thing is the issue with sleep tracking. It is useless for sleep tracking. It asks me to record it manually. I shouldn't need to record my sleep manual if I have a dang watch that's supposed to be doing just that. If I am still within my return period, I am returning this thing. If not, I'm selling it on Craigslist.

    Good tracker bad band quality

I would give this 5 stars EXCEPT for the fact of the band. It is not very comfortable yet it's waterproof which is a plus, but worse within 2 months it broke! The replacement band I bought doesn't hold the face correctly- it keeps popping out. IF you want a step counter, heart rate monitor, sleep monitor (really cool!) then this is for you. My suggestion is to buy another band right away so you don't have issues like I do.

Great, but charge speed is not ideal

Personally i like it, definitely worth getting if you're a Samsung Health fan over other apps. It does takes a while to charge though, so comparing this over my Fitbit Versa2 lite it doesn't compare in terms of speed and time of use. I typically turn off all notifications to extend the life of the watch, and really like the alarm. Great overall

I got this about 6 months ago. It was a great fitness tracker with some smart watch features. Every time Samsung pushed an update to the Health app or the band, it took way features. I had to break down and by a tracker from another company.

Horrible band design & cheap material

What is this? How can samsung let this design and material go through production???? The band is so cheaply made for a expensive smart watch. I bought this on sale for half price & compare w my mi band 5 ($45). I cant stand the band of this watch, so hard to put on and impossible to take off. And I have small fingers. Imagine u have a big hand and have to handle taking on off everyday. The band is cheap plastic compare with mi band and attract lots of dust. It is going back tm.

Bought Samsung fit liking features and price. Don't work well with iPhone. Problem paring and app to use with didn't work. I will dump if can't return. Stick with my old fit-bit for now. To review this or even to ask questions need account. Really.

Worked fine for 3 weeks. Then Samsung forced an update and it won't respond to anything. Stuck on the screen with the device ID on it. Best Buy wants me to take off work to come in for an "appointment". Waste of time and money. Done with Best Buy and Samsung.
