I've had this for about 3 weeks and at first I was a bit skeptical but decided to give it a try...i have to say it's been really cool to have...battery last about 1.5 to 2 days...

The gear is built absolutely wonderfully. I cannot get over how solid it feels. The biggest complaint with the galaxy phones are that they are plasticy. Why dont they use the same quality in the galaxy line? The metal feels fantastic. The gear has a small amount of apps, and the notifications only integrate well with the touchwhiz software. I wish I could get notifications for all of the Google apps. I also planned on getting the moto X in place of my GS4, but the gear only works with samsung devices. I got it on sale for 239.99 so its almost worth the price as a toy.

Great Smartwatch. It does everything as advertised. For the people that are "UNHAPPY" with your purchase: Do us all a favor and do some research on any and every product you buy from now on.....THIS IS AN ANDROID "COMPANION DEVICE". Use it as such. After researching it and checking out the features, it was a definite "must have" for me and my wife. I'm happy with what it can do and could care less about what it can't.....RESEARCH PEOPLE....if you need it to be a fully functioning Android device, might just be easier for you to use your phone. PERFECT FOR WHAT I NEED IT FOR....GOOD JOB SAMSUNG, WAITING ON GG2 !!!

I love gadgets and I wanted one since they were released but didn't want to pay $300 for a !st gen product that would be outdated in less than a year! I patiently waited and was able to snag one for $98 out of the door! Definitely worth $98 not $300. The fact that you can side load apps makes me content with this model until a TRUE smart watch is made that's affordable and is independent of the cell phone.

I have been on the wire about this watch since it came out. After seeing the price come down $50 dollars I decided to get it. I love the watch because it does what's it suppose to do. It keeps me from always pulling my note out every time I receive a email or text message. I like this watch because it reminds me of Dick Tracy back in the day. The only problems I have with watch is you cant really text someone back on it except the preloaded messages on watch. Also the price even with the $50 dollar price drop is steep. Other then that its a real nice watch.

Great use to quickly see who's calling prior to digging your phone out of your pocket. Easy to reply to messages, albeit short ones. S-Voice has improved and is accurate about 80% of time. Pedometer useful as well for healthy living. Charge lasts for a couple of days with typical use. very practical in car when I can talk or text with both hands on the wheel.

I like most everything about this watch. I find it very useful, but the two main gripes I have are with the position of the camera and speaker. When I rest my wrist on a table, it seems to be against one of these and I am afraid of scratching it.

After only a few hours of wear, wearing a red fleece jacket, the band on the white Galaxy Gear had turned red. This might have been acceptable after an extended period, rubbing against a brand new red coat. I tried several solutions from mild soap to alcohol, Nothing would remove the now permanent red hue from the band of this watch. I'll be returning the white and getting the black band. All that being said, this device is pretty awesome, and well worth the money. It surprising how little the watch can do stock, but rooted, with a custom Rom, wow. very impressive. The screen is very bright, very legible in direct sunlight too. Amazing battery life too. HIGHLY recommend rooting it.

Like the vibration function since it is on your wrist u will feel when u get an email text or phone call u wont miss a call even when in a noisy environment it works on any samsung phone with running android version 4.3

This watch is pure awesome!! Received as christmas gift and use every day...just so people know this watch works without any issues with Galaxy s3, Galaxy s4, and note 2, and of course note 3, i own a gs3 and all features work...Only works with samsung and must be running at least android 4.3

Was waiting for this item for awhile, it works just like they said it would ! Worth every dollar,

My first gear I got had a defective camera. Upon return (only 3 hours later) had to refund due to the store not having anymore stock. Should have quit while I was ahead! Drove almost 2 hours (there and back) to another store that had one. Tried to test it in the parking lot but didn't even have enough power in it to turn on. Charged fully that night and powered off till the morning. Went with my new toy to work. Didn't really use it that much since I was at work and in about 10 hours I was down to 25%. They talk about 24 to 25 hours on this but I don't see how that's going to happen with any kind of usage. One of the reasons I have a Note 3 is so I don't have to worry about running out of power or the location of an outlet to charge it. It made me feel like the days of having a small battery cell phone and not wanting to use it so the battery wouldn't die. Sadly even though it fully does everything it is supposed to do the EXTREMELY short battery life will have me returning this one as well. So save your money.

I bought this watch on sale a few months ago and that evening i saw a comercial for the gear 2, I played with it that night and looked up the the specs on it compared to the new gear 2. They really did a great job on the gear 2 with water resistance and you can now switch out bands. along with a dual core processor with Tizen operating system, tons of apps on the way. they should really discontinue this item and stop wasting peoples time.

Being an early adopter of Tech, I was really excited to pick up the Gear and try it out. After purchase, I got home and paired the device to my Galaxy Note 3. The setup was very simple, that anyone with a minimal bit of tech knowledge could do it. I have really big hands and of course the wrists to match. With that in mind, I put the clasp on the largest setting. I barely got the unit to get past my hand. Then the fun part. I tried to clasp it shut. It was like applying a tourniquet to my wrist. Needless to say, I had to return the unit. Too bad because I really was looking forward to showing it off to my friends. Hopefully, Samsung will consider designing the Gear 2 with a larger wrist strap. I would recommend this for smaller framed people. Would've been a fun toy, if I were able to wear it.

I love the watch. The only real drawback is that it only works with samsung. I have bought this watch from a friend

If you have money laying around to spend then get it. If not do not get this product, the call quality is poor, if your in a noisy area even driving around you won't be able to hear the person talking to you. Also it only alerts you when you have an incoming call and as well a text message. As for e-mail and third party applications your out of luck. I suggest to wait for the three models to come out since they may have improve the call quality.

I was really expecting a lot. First problem is we were not able to download the program needed to work with the watch. I spent 3 hours, reading directions, calling support line, looking it up on youtube and realized it wasn't me. The program needed to run the watch was not included and could only be obtained by going through the internet and looking hard. I can't get the weather program to work, it says to go into settings and chose my area, there is no setting where you can pick "your zip code or area" you can only use setting to pick colors.

Can anyone help? I've had my Galaxy s4 since it came out, so I ran the most recent update available and I still cant get my Galaxy Gear watch to sync to my phone. I've read that I need to have Jellybean 4.3 installed. Is this only possible with using a computer as opposed to installing a Google play app or software update? How the heck do I make it work? Somebody, anybody please help!! :-(

Sold a lemon I have to return. Wrist latch is bent out of shape. Taking it back, Cheap product. While I will get just a replacement, its a cheap product. I hope the sound, etc is better than the wrist band. I haven't even gotten that far after 300. Not happy right now.
