When purchased, assured by sales (and stated online) that this works on Verizon. Does not--so returned and got one for same proce at Verizon. They matched price for my trouble.

Really sad with my purchase. The phone software freezes a lot. I would advice to buy j3 2017. I cannot return it as there is $35 restocking fees. Stay away from Samsung.

    Everything is great, except....

First, this phone has excellent battery life. I can use it all day without having to throw it on the charger. It's Android, so you can find an app for pretty much anything you want to do, and typically for free. The display is brilliant and sharp. The buttons on the phone are positive, and the screen sensitivity is great too. The price is excellent. I paid 170 bucks for mine at my local store. The audio quality is good on calls. The signal strength is good compared to my iPhone which uses the same T-Mobile network. Where this phone falls super short is the Camera. It's awful. The main (rear) camera takes mediocre photos in the best lighting. The front facing camera just sucks and your Snapchat selfies and group photos during your outings will suffer as a result. If you're not into taking photos, this phone might be perfect for you. If you are, well, I would look at something else... Maybe the Motorola MOTO G? I just can't wrap my head around why Samsung would only go with a 5MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera on this phone. My HTC Evo4G from 2010 had an 8MP rear camera. What's up Samsung? The other area of concern was the browsing speed due to it's processing power. It doesn't zip through browsing like the competition does, and that's OK, because I didn't buy this phone particularly to browse the web. When I need to, it works. I purchased this phone as a backup to my iPhone 6. I primarily use it for emulating games, and it's good at that. So I'm pleased with it.

Hi all. My Sony M2 broke. 2nd one within a year and half. So I am done with Sony. Looked around for a replacement. I am on the AT&T GoPhone service. Most of their phones were "Factory Serviced". I didn't want another problem. Saw this on the BB website. Went to the BB Mobile Center at Oxford Valley Mall, PA. Didn't get her name. But she was Very helpful!! She didn't know my full story. Being out of work. With little income at the moment. And didn't try to pressure me into a more expensive phone. Thank You!!! After the sale, I took the phone to the AT&T store in the mall. Who promptly connected it to my GoPhone account. As this unit uses a Nano Sim. And the broken Sony had a Micro Sim. Got it on Sale. Does what I need. Still trying to figure out the Samsung modified Android. My First Samsung phone. Just wished it had a Visual Indicator to let me know of Messages, Calls like the Sony had. Not sure if this has the NFC??

    Love This Phone

This phone replaces the typical Tracfone smart phone. I put this new Samsung phone on the Tracfone service, too. I have found this phone to be easier to use and to read, and it also caused me to realize what a piece of junk the Tracfone phones really are. This phone works really well on the Tracfone service, and if you need Tracfone's service techs help, they are able to give me service on this phone very well, too. I know because I had some trouble setting up my Voicemail -- I messed it up, not Tracfone or the Samsung J3 phone. I would very much recommend this phone to anyone. I love it!!!! I've been using it now for almost a month.

Great Smart Phone for the Price

This is my first Smart Phone and I am very pleased with it. Everything works fine -- email set up was easy, internet works well. Great to have the Wi-Fi feature -- not much data use is needed. I like the free apps, especially the Accu Weather app. Signed up to the Tracfone BYOP plan (uses AT&T towers) and is working well. The battery keeps a charge for two days.
