This is a wonderful tablet for a young child. BEST

Purchased two of these tablets for my 9 year old grandchildren. The hardware works great but I needed a program to keep track of what they are doing online and I tried software on the Play Store and every one that I found wants a monthly fee. I don't mind a one time or yearly fee that I can pay but they want to automatically take payments from my card and I'm not comfortable with that. You would think a tablet made and sold for children would provide some basic software to keep children from going on non-children websites without a fee.

The tablet itself is smaller than I would have liked, but overall I am happy with it. As mentioned, it is very kid friendly and I think it’s better than purchasing iPads that are so delicate and basically the same thing for smaller children.

While it's a good tablet, the glass broke without really dropping it hard on the floor the second day even with the cover on it ! Best Buy refused to do anything with it when I went back the next day .

They keep freezing on my kids I bought 2 for Christmas. The only good part was that Best Buy had next day shipping. But the device it’s self I wouldn’t recommend

I’ve never been a gig fan of Samsung products and this tablet is a big example why. We’ve had it for a couple months and it freezes and glitches way too much.

We got this for our 6 year old and it’s held up well considering we have three children that fight over it. The interface between it as a tablet and the Samsung Kids app is murky at best, and the Samsung customer service is lacking greatly. “Canceled” the Kids app 3 times and they continued to charge my card, to the point I had to get a new account number to avoid the recurrent charges. If I had to do it all over again, I’d just get an iPad to begin with.

Did not realize there was only a 3 month trial for the kids mode before you had to pay a monthly subscription charge. Kids mode only will allow Samsung apps to be added. Cannot add other kid apps that can be found on Google Play.

We bought this Samsung Kids tablet for a young child for Christmas. Kids tablet, it is a normal tablet with no parental controls built in like they said. There is a Samsung Kids Application, but after click it on, it wanted my credit card number for a fee of $5.00 per month to use the App. WHAT!!! NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT THIS! So I just removed all of the internet apps from the front page and put the Kids app in it's place. We made it work and she loves it! The protective bumper works very well. This is the reason I gave it 2 Stars instead of 1. It is a good tablet, just not a (quote) (quote) KIDS tablet.

Bad screen, no updates, constant WiFi drop connection. Kids hate it so returned. Got HD 8 kids edition by Amazon. Kids couldn't be happier.

This essentially is only considered a "kids" tablet if you're using the Samsung Kids app (free 3 month trial and then it's a paid subscription thereafter). Otherwise for good or bad it's a standard Samsung tablet.

I bought this for my 3 year old son but unfortunately he didn’t liked it at all because it was too heavy for him to hold . Even though if I remove the silicon cover it’s still heavy.

Its only a Kids tablet if you pay for the subscription to keep it in kids mode. We decided to just do Abc Mouse instead of renewing the Samsung kids subscription. She has to access the Abc mouse app form the home screen making this particular tablet pointless. I could of got her a regular tablet with data so she could at least use her tablet during road trips or anywhere outside the house. This tablet runs slow and freezes all the time. We pay for high speed internet there is no reason for the tablet to constantly have connectivity issues.

I thought this would be something solely for kids, but it's not. Instead of buying this I could of just bought a regular tablet and set it up with the apps I want on it. My son can still swipe himself out of apps and wind up in the settings. Camera is ok compare to what they have out now. The experience purchasing it online was smooth but to pick it up in the store was a total nightmare.

I like the quality of this tablet but I was severely disappointed to find out that the android OS is more than 4 years outdated and you cannot update it.

It's ok. Not the greatest. Memory room is small. All the preinstalled apps take over all the room. My daughter is only 3 so it's ok 4 her.

Nice alternative for kids. I had several problems of malfunction and I recommend that is mandatory to purchase the insurance plan for it.

A pretty good tablet but was harder to figure out than I expected. Also had a few technical problems with it but overall was okay.
