A revolution of the artist sketch book

I started using my Galaxy Note phone for sketching - I like to go into museums as part of my art activities and sketch from artifacts like African masks, sculpture, etc. I became so excited about the possibllities of the app 'SketchBook' for Galaxy that I wanted to see how it would work on the larger Note. The size of the phone was limiting as an art pad. So far I am very pleased and excited. I have printed results of my artwork on lettersize paper and they print well. In fact, the Note immediately recognized my wifi HP printer and printed well. I showed it to my friends 5 y.o. daughter who did not want to give it back! I would love to teach a class to students using this pad.

This is a very nice tablet with a lot of extras. The pen writes smoothly and accurately. I like the fact that you can have 4 activities going on at the same time and with the 12.2 beautiful screen it is very easy to do. It is not heavy at all for its size. Action response is fast. Getting accessories for it isn't easy. There aren't enough choices out there so your pretty much stuck with what is there. Other than being a bit too expensive, that is my only con . This is a great product. I now own a lot of Samsung products; t v, phone, media player and this tablet and I am quite satisfied with them all. Thank you Samsung for stepping up your game and giving people another choice. Keep taking bites out of that Apple!!!!

-decent battery life. -great screen resolution. -the s pen is a very nice feature. -the screen is bright and crisp enough to view detailed pdf's files. Negatives. -will get bogged down during heavy use. -mostly intuitive, i did have to look up how to use some features. -kinda pricey. -highly recommend a case to protect it. i use mine everyday for work and play. i have a otter box defender case on mine. took off the case's plastic screen protector, it gets in the way of the great display and interferes with the s pen. Overall. you could do the same with a lesser tablet but i your on the go as much as i am, you wont regret buying this great little tablet. ps i should have got the verison one so i could use it with my cell service.

Samsung put out another good one. Not a game changer but worth a look. What pulled me in was the 12.2 inch HD screen, stylus and expandable memory. What has turned me off is the amount of lag due to the touchwiz interface. I upgraded from the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, which I loved because of the slim design and being water resistant. This larger screen takes some getting use too, but when you do its an awesome experience. Battery life is great. I use this at home and for meetings at work. Speakers sound great, screen is beautiful, and I love samsung's digital keyboard. But the downfall to this product is price and performance issues. This price is similar to a laptop without the full functionality. And you would think with Google going to Android kit kat, which uses less space to operate, that the performance would be smoother then butter. Especially since samsung is using its octa - core chip. But samsung bogs down the performance with a healthy serving of touchwiz. Some due to the stylus compatibility, but the rest because they want to be unique. Overall good product. I would recommend to some but not all. If you don't need a stylus, then I suggest you check out Sony. Unless your already in the apple ecosystem, then I suggest you get and ipad.

If you need a larger tablet this is perfect. I do photography and it's simply the best for showing off my images. The built in pressure tablet is a dream to work with and the display is fast and vibrant. Currently the perfect tablet for the artist. No other tablet compares when drawing. The pen is a bit small but docks inside the tablet. A larger more comfortable pen is available. If you need a smaller version it's little brother the 10.1 works just as well but if you need a big screen this is a dream. Samsung is currently the king in phones and tablets so you can't go wrong with compatibility. This doubles as an on the go TV for me. It sits next to my PC and works great for streaming tutorials. It is a bit heavy compared to other tablets simply due to it's size but compared to a laptop it's a featherweight. No tablet or laptop has great sound but due to the size it sounds better than others. I especially like that Samsung dropped the proprietary docking/charging connector and went with a standard USB type connector. The size really makes typing on the screen much easier. Only con is a bit too much bloatware but the Samsung apps may be useful to some people just not me. I do recommend the flip cover to protect the investment. It doesn't overly add to the weight and Best Buy usually has them in stock. I also opted for Best Buy to install the screen protector. These have already saved me at least once.

Everything about this tablet has been beyond what I read about and investigated prior to buying. The weight of the tablet is perfect -- it is light and balanced for its size. The resolution of the screen and colors are excellent for social media apps, watching movies, and even Microsoft Office apps I use. The S-Pen is responsive and very, very helpful. I had researched several different tablets prior to purchase (including the iPad) and was impressed by all the overwhelming reviews about the Samsung. And I have been pleasantly surprised that these reviews have all proven true! Samsung lives up to its reputation with product quality, performance, and battery life! I highly recommend!

I am very happy with my purchase, but disappointed that the price of the same tablet was reduced by $100 soon after I bought mine. The tablet has superb graphics, coupled with a screen large enough for my aging eyes to view without glasses. The added inclusion of a stylus is wonderful! I also purchased a 64 GB expansion (memory card), as well as a Samsung Keyboard cover (which I highly recommend). I don't have much to compare this tablet with, except for the occasional use of my grand-children's iPad (16GB). The Samsung Note PRO is an even greater hit with them. All-in-all, I have not found anything I don't like about it. I definitely recommend this tablet!

Has some benefits and some Samsung problems

First off, I am NOT an Apple advocate. I am PC all the way. I want to like this product. Samsung has made it so I do not. It is a simple math problem really. Take 64GB (I know I accidently received the 32GB version) expandable to 128 by spending another $125. This makes it more expensive than the Air2, but ok, you get a bigger screen, multiple users, dual working screen, and a stylus. It also works better with my PC and my S5 phone. The problems start is not every program can run off the micro SD card, and there are more programs made for Apple. The really big elephant in the room is a large amount of bloatware I CANNOT get rid of. There is Hanson Office program coming in at over 150MB. It is fine I guess for a home user, but at work we use Microsoft Office, so I should use Microsoft Office on this thing, logical. Why learn two programs? Now I have to load two huge programs, one of which I will never use. There is a large amount of other bloatware, similar to the phone. I understand the phone. I get a price break because of it. Is this device so much more expensive than the Air 2 that I have to have all of this on here to bring the price range to only $200 more expensive? I want this product, but I cannot justify the wasted space to what I am buying. Samsung has got to lose the bloatware from their products, it has to be impeding their customer growth.

This tablet is great overall. Bought it with the keyboard and mouse. The screen resolution is great, battery life is excellent and it is small and portable. My only gripe is that because it is android, the mouse does not work the same as with windows (i.e. right click does not open a menu) and that trips me up a lot. Also the file system works differently, again this is not the fault of the hardware or Samsung its the way Android works as compared to Windows. I have learned how to get over that and am happy with the product.

I really like the portability and features , having the 10.1 Samsung tablet before this purchase, this tablet is hands down, a huge improvement. The screen is so much more clearer. The increase in size is huge improvement. The tablet is light enough to make it very portable. The onscreen key board is large enough to copy a full size keyboard. Which is a plus when I am not using my keyboard cover. The size is still small enough to put in my bag even with the case on. i love being able to write notes at meetings and then having the file easily made into a savable file. I am still learning what I can and cannot do with tablet, but so far no disappointment.

I have an AIO Desktop PC and a work Windows 10 Laptop but wanted something more portable and friendly to touch use. I didn't necessarily need a PC because This tablet can do 99% of my daily activities, especially things that need to be done on the go. It is very powerful and doesn't suck the life out of the battery. I chose this over the Surface because it will actually sit in your lap with the Logitech Keyboard, not as thick and I already have a Samsung TV and Note Edge Phone that all link together.

We had an 8 inch Samsung without the pen and liked this tablet but the screen was too small for my aging eyes. This 12.2 inch works very well. The screen is sharp and very clear with beautiful colors. The stylist is a great feature allowing for script note to be converted to block letters, nice feature. The only complaint we have is not the tablets fault but laze with the Logitec keyboard we added. When using the keyboard the spell checker does not work, it only works when typing on the tablet keypad.

This tablet has been great. It is easy to use, especially if you are used to the Samsung galaxy setup (very similar to the galaxy s phones). The ability to quickly and easily take down notes with the stylus is great. My wife plans to take this tablet for her college classes for taking notes to avoid the hassle of multiple traditional paper notebooks. The Note Pro also has a great picture for watching movies and videos.

I love this tablet! I have always been an "Apple all the way," and I didn't know what to expect. But Apples iPad/iPad mini didn't have what I was looking for. I love the size, I love the USB ports, and I love the ability to add more memory, all features Apple does not offer. The stylus pen is awesome, I love the ability to write right on the screen. Battery life is amazing. For example, the other day I opened the tablet to watch the new season of Orange is the New Black. The tablet had half battery life, as I don't need to let it just sit on the charger. I didn't bother plugging it in. I got through SIX episodes before the tablet warned me it needed to be plugged in. That was pretty amazing. Another example, I went on vacation. I left it off the charger. When I got back, a week and a half later, it still showed a half battery. My MacBook would have been dead. I can not talk more about how wonderful this tablet is!

Best tablet ever for note taking college students!

I am currently a college student so I use this a lot to take notes in my lectures. The larger size is great because it feels and seems just right when you handle and use it, and it is convenient to bring to class. Along with the Bluetooth keyboard I bought along with it, it has proven to be an amazing asset for taking notes and doing a multitude of other things. I will say however that the Best Buy employees do not provide you with a lot of help or suggestions on apps to download or things to do to maximize it's efficiency or for note taking. Therefore I had to look elsewhere, only to find a YouTube video with +40 tips and tricks for using this tablet which really came in handy. Overall, I love this tablet and everything about it. It has proven to be extremely useful and convenient, although it has a questionable battery life, time and time again. I use this tablet every day and in almost all of my classes, and I'm using it going from taking notes to checking my bank account. I would 100% recommend this tablet to any college student who is looking for one, especially if they are looking for a tablet to use for note taking.

Years ago purchased a Motorola tablet and thought it was really good until I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2" tablet. This tablet is super fast, loads really quickly and the screen resolution is incredible. In fact it is so nice my daughter often asks if she can use mine even though she has a newer Tablet (different brand. When I asked her why she said "dad there I no comparison between mine and how good yours is! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it is a little thin (much like new Apple I-phones) and I hope it will hold up over time!

If you're a student and are looking for something light and has a lot of functionality for academic purposes then this is the tablet for you. The S-Pen is great for taking notes using S Note or directly on a document using screen write. You also have Hancom office which has the same functionality of Microsoft office and you can hand write everything directly on the tablet with no keyboard needed. If you're an art major, sketchbook is really useful for keeping your drawings and having them easily accessible. Battery life is great and it doesn't hurt that it is also an android tablet if you have an android device. Google play is readily available for those that like to game or watch movies on a bigger screen. It will save your phone battery life and with make your viewing and gaming experience much better.
