Everything about this phone made it well worth the switch from iPhone. I have fallen in love with the Android platform and truly believe Samsung has finally resolved a lot of complaints and issues from previous versions of the phone. The exclusive blue color at best buy makes it stand out, and the phone is the perfect size to reach all the way across with ease. The pen unlocks a lot of cool features not possible with the S8+

Purchased this about 3 weeks ago to replace my Galaxy Note 4. I have absolutely no regrets. It's a big step up from the Note 4 and is definitely in the top 3 for smartphones for 2017. An added plus is that because it had a substantial price reduction the week I purchased it, the monthly payment is less than $30 for 24 months. The battery lasts all day and is never below 55% when I put it on the charger at about 11:30pm.

I had a iPhone 6s and got very bored of it very quickly. My Note 8 does so many things & more!!! Gorgeous screen and so fast! S- pen works great and I found it works just like it used to on my old note 4! Get it for the screen, camera, s pen, expandable memory

I couldn't be happier with the ease of use with this phone. The biometrics paired with the screen size, camera quality and performance of this phone make it hands down the most helpful and simple to use device I could imagine. Would buy it again tomorrow if it broke.

I love just about everything about the phone, the S pen, the side panels all are great features. Even Bixby isn't that bad once you train it a little bit. I have to wonder though, why samsung went with such a small battery for such a large phone. Bixby does help with battery life too. Just tell Bixby to "Optimize" and it will kill apps, clear recents, and notifications. It really does make a difference.

If your stuck trying to decide which $1000 phone to buy, the Note 8 gives you the most bang for your buck. Samsung still manages to amaze me with their Note line up. A beautiful screen packed inside a beautiful and powerful phone. And it still offers a fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack, unlike that other guys phone.

    Great Phone - Lousy Battery

I decided to write this review after 2 years because longevity is as important as the services the phone has to offer. The phone has many great features, including the ever-improving Bixby assistant, to go along with the very helpful Google Assistant. The "new and improved" pen is slightly smaller and just as efficient as the old one, though it doesn't let you take pictures with it as the Note 9/10/etc. will do. The speed is great and the apps are numerous. I do have my phone in a very sturdy case due to the nature of my work. I have dropped my phone quite a few times over the past two years and the phone still looks brand new when taken out of the case. The only downside is the unreplaceable battery. I spend almost as much money for a decent laptop and I get a phone that has a battery that starts showing signs of wear less than a year after use. I am not one of those people that puts my phone into super-maximum battery saving mode unless there is a good reason for me to do so because I bought the phone to use, not to baby! I understand that the newer S10/Note 10 models have better batteries, but for over $1000 for a phone, I will just take my phone to a phone repair shop and have them put me in a new battery (At this point, there is no warranty). By the time I am in need of a new battery, I will see how the Note 10 has held up and buy one at what will be a much cheaper price. Now I know I have just spent a lot complaining about the battery but I do think overall the phone was still a good purchase and I would recommend it if the price is right.

Great Phone and Great Best Buy Service

I did a pre-order of the Galaxy Note 8 from Best Buy in Glen Burnie two weeks before they were coming in for my Verizon upgrade, and I've been very pleased with the Best Buy service, plus I love the phone. I'm still getting to know the phone, but it is a fairly easy adjustment from the Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge+ I was using the last two years. I love the idea of the stylus from my years of using a Palm Pilot up to about eight years ago. The phone paired very easily with my MINI Cooper's system. I loved my 6 Edge+, but I think I love the Note 8 even more. As far as the latter, one of the incentives right now was to trade it up for the Note 8 and get $300+ off the purchase of the new phone at Verizon. When I logged in at Verizon after the new phone purchase, Verizon recognized the deal even though the purchase was through Best Buy, and I got the deal from them, too. So it's only been 48 hours, but I love the phone!

That I love this phone. In fact I'm leaving a review on this device. Being Samsung's newest phone I was wondering how good it would be. I'd seen all the S8's and was considering getting one of them. Instead I waited when I heard the Note 8 would be released. First and foremost, do you love taking photos? Making notes in class or for work? Do you love coloring books or drawing? If you answered yes then get this phone. I can take a picture of the notes my teacher makes and the over the photo use the S pen to add more notes for myself. I love photo taking and the dual lenses are so fun to play with to get different effects. And the fact I can draw or color where ever I go is relaxing. Oh and did I forget my favorite part the Infinity screen. So much screen for this phone! I love it, it's smooth and runs super well. And if you wanted to feel like a spy the iris scan to unlock is the best! A must own in my book.

This is an amazing phone; I upgraded from the Note 5 and am very impressed! The cell phone has a great display resolution, good battery life, lots of RAM, and a slot for an external SD card (glad this feature is revived; the Note 5 didn't have any options for expandable memory). Overall, this was a great purchase!

I'm a big Note fan. I love having the S Pen feature and the way the pen is stored has been improved. Before, it would easily slip out but now you have to push in and then pull it out which makes it much harder to loose. I haven't tapped into all of the features yet but I love the edge feature to easily access contacts and apps. The price at best was the better than anywhere else for Verizon.

I love the Samsung Note8. Great camera, fast, long-lasting battery life, easy to use. The biggest drawback is the Bluetooth capabilities. It's hit or miss. Greatly disappointed that it will not Sync to my hands-free in my 2016 Ford Explorer. Yes, my explorer is up-to-date. My Bluetooth doesn't connect to my wireless headset either. It will connect...sometimes to my computer via Bluetooth. This very frustrating. Other than that, it's a great phone otherwise.
