FAB, even if the wrong color (GRR)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good -- this smartphone that cost as much as my last laptop is sleek and fast and has already demonstrated better reception and better battery life than my Note3 (as it should). Before I go on, I do want to say that while all THREE customer service reps who helped me were lovely, polite, super helpful, and good looking, in the end I got a black phone, although I had many times emphasized that I wanted to purchase the grey version. We discussed unlocked and branded phones, cost, etc. I purchased the phone outright, and for a thousand dollars you'd think BestBuy could have sold me the correct color !! But I digress... this new phone will take some getting used to, as one would expect, but it has been a fairly smooth process so far. If you had an android phone already, it should be just the sort of intuitive but bumpy ride that all these toys put us through. If you're migrating from Apple or Windows, or it's your first smartphone, I can't say. The Edge business is aggravating IMO. I know some people think it looks smart, but I just find that it's harder to connect with keys and touch spots near the curvature of the screen. There are a bunch of options for the edge-y extras, so between that and the Stylus (which is what really makes this phone), those who like all sorts of complicated customizable extras should be happy. For the rest of us, it's nice that one can leave it all on default and things will go along nicely. I didn't use any special migrating apps, and they did not transfer my info. The phone came with a SIM card, so I didn't have to transfer my old one. I do plan to add a micro-SD -- CAREFULLY . That teeny little drawer that comes out of the top strikes me as all kinds of delicate and problematic. I liked it better on the old phones where one pops out the battery and there the cards are underneath. Much better! More durable. But hopefully one only accesses it rarely. There aren't many cases for this phone, which is a bummer. Currently I've got it in an overpriced leather case (Nomad), which I do not recommend, not because of the price, but because it doesn't close properly. But that's another review. The S-Pen doesn't just pull out like it did with my Note3, you have to push it and then it pops out. Likely that change occurred sometime during the interim generations. There are more options for use, as well -- that thing is wonderfully handy! Anyway, super expensive little toy, but so far it's gearing up to be quietly powerful, and I'm really looking forward to using it for a few years.

Wow! What a Deal!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I saw the Note 8 on sale at Best Buy on Black Friday, the guesswork was all gone! Purchased the phone with a $350.00 discount off the purchase...on Verizon...which got me 3-4 bars of signal at home where I never got better than one bar of signal with ATT. The screen is amazingly clear...I updated from a Note 5, so I was used to the features of the Note device. It is so fast and I love the wireless charging! I never plug the phone in, I just sit it on the charger and let induction take care of the rest. No worries about plugging the phone in and wearing out the charging port. The size is great for watching videos and the sound is great. The ability to take photos is above my expectations. I take pictures of the sunrise...everyone says "Wow"! You should make a print of that and put it on the wall! If you are looking for an awesome phone, look no further, this is the One!

Love it so far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its definatly alot faster and smother than my note5 could ever hope 2 b... but Im still exploring features n only just starting 2 play so I can give a more or less confident opinion at a latter date... I can absolutely say I am very happy with the deal I got from Best Buy! I looked for a deal with my Carrier and also other competing Carriers I, and most had deals on the note 8, becuase I loved my note5 so much I wouldn't upgrade 2 anything else but another galaxy Note... all the good carriers here had some good deals on the Note 8, but Best Buy gave me $300 off full price for a verizon Note 8 without requiring me change my'lite n managable 2g+ rollover plan from verizon instead of having to pay for un-needed data like Verizon, t mobile,n the rest wanted me 2 do five stars just for that,Bravo Best Buy!

What a Flag Ship Phone should be
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone is pricy, and for 99.9% of users, it's probably overkill, but it's hands down the best Android phone on the market. The camera is fast and takes great low light pictures, it's responsive, has an incredible screen for viewing media, and the S Pen is helpful. The screen-off note feature is worth the bump in price from the S8+.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's an understatement to say that the Galaxy Note 8 is an incredible phone. It's packed with so many features there's too many to count. It's fast as lightning and simple to use. Great sound, great build quality, incredible camera, incredible screen resolution. There is really nothing bad I can say about this phone. I highly recommend it and the discount was incredible as well.

Techie Heaven
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Higher precision S-pen make finer hand writing tool for notes. Get the Samsung LED Wallet cover with it. Shows time, caller ID and alerts right through the cover. Swipe to answer or dismiss without opening it up. Volume up and down as well as Bixby controls right through the cover!

Beautiful Display Screen and Average Battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the display screen, colors are rich, very bright outdoors, and very sharp text. Easier to hold in my hands than my prior iPhone 6S+ because it's a little less wide. I'm using the orchid grey S View folio case and it makes my blue Note 8 look so sleek and sexy! Would be 5 star phone if it had a better battery.

Q: QuestionDo I have change my data plan to purchase this phone from Verizon? I have a 10gig plan and don't want to switch to the unlimited plan due to pricing.
Asked by Baldpower.
- A:Answer I bought the note 8 last night after reading the fine print 10 times. I did NOT have to change my plan. I kept my 2 gig plan. Had I bought this through Verizon I would have been forced to get an unlimited plan. Best Buy has a better deal than Verizon
Answered by Baymee
Q: Questionis it true that i will be paying $24 for a note8 if i purchase it?
Asked by omar.
- A:Answer The price you see (24.41) is per month for 24 months added to your current phone bill. That's a really good deal saving you 374 dollars total off the phone. So that's saving you 15.59 per month off the total cost of the phone. Original price is 40 per month which = $960 total, sale price is 24.41 per month which = $585.84 total price. You will probably have to pay taxes on the original price of 960 plus a 30 activation fee..Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionWill Best Buy download my info from my old phone at the store.
Asked by Rick.
- A:Answer Most definitely! They synced my phone, dealt with my carrier and happily gave me another Note 8 due to a defective battery. So, in essence, they did the set up twice and always with a smile.

Q: QuestionI went into myverizon to see if there was a way to trade in device to get 50% off without buying the device from verizon and it doesn't give an option. how do we get the offer from verizon after purchasing the note 8 from bestbuy?
Asked by FreshPrince.
- A:Answer I just talked to Verizon Rep and they said that if purchased from BestBuy all you would have to do is log-in to MyVerizon app and goto the bottom of the screen and select trade-in program, fill out the information and they would send a prepaid shipping box for your old phone and a receipt that needs to be signed showing what your trade-in amount will be.
