I had a Samsung note 3 that I used for over 4years, so its aptly right that I looked forward to the note 8. The design is an improvement, battery life a plus. Sleek design and most importantly cost was very reasonable. Still digging into its multi functionality, but I definitely like this gadget.

This is my 2nd Note phone. I love the use of the stylus and easy note function. This is my first phone with curved glass. That takes some getting used to but in the end, hasn't caused too many issues getting used to it. The camera is AWESOME! I can't say e ougj about how good the pictures are.

I switched from a pixel XL because of two reasons. Stylus and extra storage. Plus bestbuy had a $250 off the week I bought it. It's a great phone, awesome camera. Battery is amazing.

The Galaxy Note 8 is even better than my old S5. Really like the big screen and readability (good for those with vision issues). Like the ease of taking quick notes with the stylus. Excellent phone; no issues or negatives so far.

Had a note 5, went in initially pretty bummed my batter died and HAD to upgrade. Looked at a google pixel XL 2 and after discussion with the most knowledgeable staff I was on board with this phone. I loved the note 5. Love this the same or more. Ease of use was a little hard to adapt at first but like most it just takes a little fumbling around to figure out the new ways versus the old note 5. Love the stylus and use it anytime I park in a unfamiliar place and note to myself, photos are unbelievable, and size is fine.

I've only had my Samsung Note 8 for one week. At first, I hated it because it was so different than the Samsung Note 3 I had purchased in 2014. One trip to Best Buy to consult with Marcus Jackson (the Samsung rep) was all it took to solve my issues and make me (almost) love my new Samsung! He helped me figure out so many things that were major issues before meeting with him. Now, keep in mind that I've only had this phone for one week, so I can't give an in-depth review. The positives: the camera is a MAJOR improvement over the Note 3! The camera on the Note 3 was atrocious(!) and wouldn't take low-light pics without holding the phone still for like 5-7 seconds. By then you had lost the shot or else you caught everyone frowning because they couldn't hold their smiles that long. You also couldn't see the display outdoors in bright light and as a result, you couldn't see anything you were recording/taking a picture of. All you could do was aim the camera and just hope you were getting what you wanted. On the Note 8, it instantly took a beautiful low-light picture. I also took a pic looking directly at the sun (because it is winter) and I was still able to see the display perfectly. Now for the negative. There is no more hands-free/voice control option for answering the phone like there was on my Samsung Note 3. I'm assuming they did that to stop people from using that feature while driving (it is Bluetooth capable). However, because I have physical limitations, I used the voice control option regularly to answer my phone because I couldn't get to it fast enough. I don't want to wear a Bluetooth at home. So yes, a negative (but on the bright side, it will keep me safe while driving!) Another negative... There is no way to add words to the dictionary which is a big problem for me. I don't know if either the Samsung keyboard or the one I'm using are intuitive enough to eventually figure it out. Overall, it's a great phone and one I would definitely recommend. Samsung could have made it perfect though by making 128 GB of storage with the SD card capability standard instead of only the 64 GB it comes with.

Been using Samsung phones for a few years now, and was looking forward to the Note 8, got to tell you it is a great phone. I will admit that there is no one perfect phone for everybody, but this is as close as it gets. . Even with the size of the unit I found it very easy to use and hold.

I love this like I do any piece of extraordinary engineering, being an engineer myself. It is easy on the eyes, lightning quick, infinitely configurable and a pleasure to work with. No glitches, nothing - just solid performance. Great battery life too ! ! ! Get one - you won't regret it.

Bought this to replace my S5. It's a great phone. Much bigger than my last. Takes great pictures. Battery life seems good - but anything is better than a phone with an old battery.

The Note 8 is a great phone despite the bad rap it's predecessor the Note 7 got. I haven't had any trouble with overheating. The camera is excellent! It runs fast and does a lot of stuff I don't need it to do. Bixby is the " new Alexa." It's features are a tad annoying but it you like that kind of thing you won't mind it. The only drawback I see to this phone is that it has completely crashed on me out of the blue. I come to find out this is a problem for the Note 8. I guess you can't have it all.

I was not sure I wanted to deal with a new phone but after talking to the Samsun rep at Best Buy it was a no brainer. The Note 8 is easy to use and the pen features make it fun. Just don't plan on a screen protector because with the rounded edge they don't fit well.

Premium built phone. Good sound quality. Battery life is food so far . Hopefully it stays this way. It works for me for almost 2 days on one charge. I do not like the place where they placed the fingerprint reader. I have been a note phone fan for a long time and cannot give up my S pen which is getting better generation after the others. I am not sure if it is a software problem, but I am having a lot of difficulty with Google assistant despite all the attempts to fix it

This is probably one of the best phones you can buy. Forget the iPhone, forget the Pixel. One of the best cameras on this phone. "Pro Mode" on the camera transforms it into a DSLR like camera. Runs fast, love the blue. The Pen makes it easy to multitask.

Went from Galaxy 4 note to 8 note when old phone battery quit holding a charge. This phone has a better camera so much clearer and brighter pictures. Charge is longer lasting. More features but this means more learning, for older users, it can be hard.

I used to have a Note 3, and then during the whole explosion crisis, I had to go back to a regular Galaxy, and although I enjoyed the Edge 7 for 2 years I finally got my Note back and it's better than I expected. No glitches as of yet I'm kind of liking Bixby. It's smooth & sleek, easy-to-navigate and customize, lots of storage, love that it still uses SD card, battery life is pretty good, intuitive, great camera, and if course the S pen is awesome. Live notes is supper cool. So far everything is working perfectly fine I love it!

Coming from an S7 Edge, the Note 8 is a very nice upgrade. I never had any issues with my S7 Edge, but the upgrade cost was a great deal, that I was able to take advantage of. The Note 8 works flawlessly, and is a beautiful phone.
