However the oura ring is hands down better. I may just have to pay the monthly fee

Good product, poor battery life

After a year, the 7-10 day battery life reduces down to 1 day. As we all know battery degradation is common. The miniscule battery in the ring only exaggerates the issue. The battery technology is just not ready for these type of devices yet.

There a few limitations that will likely be able to be addressed with future software updates, namely the 02 sat readings overnight have my oxygen levels in the low 70% range.

Since it is under warranty, I took it to the Samsung store in Cerritos, CA. Tested and it passed so they can't do anything per corporate policy. I told them they can have my ring for further testing and they won't do it since it passed their "test". For the hundreds of dollars spent, be warned of the battery life. I now have a ring that can not be used. Maybe wait for the product to mature or try Oura rings instead.

Great fitness tracker in a small form factor

But now it doesn't keep a charge for a full day any longer. I mostly use it to track my sleep but the tips say to not use all the features and should last longer. I wouldn't have paid $400 if I'd known all features couldn't be used without draining the battery too quickly.

When it comes to charging your Galaxy Ring, you have three options: USB-C charging, charging wirelessly, and charging with Wireless PowerShare. Each of these methods requires using the Galaxy Ring case that came with your ring. Each ring's case is specific to its ring. The battery life of the Ring will last for up to 7 days of consecutive use on a full charge. When you are not using the Ring, it is recommended to store it in the charging case. You can fully charge the Ring in about 90 minutes using the charging case. However, when charging for the first time or when the battery is completely drained, it may take at least ten minutes for the Ring to begin working. Wearing the Ring with a Galaxy watch will maximize its shared health features and extend the Ring’s battery life by up to 30 percent. When wearing them together, the watch will function as the primary device, and some of the Ring’s features will automatically turn off to save power (this includes heart rate and sleep measurements). It measures your temperature, stress level, respirations, and heart beats. The only complaint I would say is that it's just plain. No color or anything.

I still wanted this ring so I purchased another new one from best buy in hopes that the new one worked out better will update this later. I was glad that the other one was easy to return.
