Samsung health interface seems very dull and not intuitive. Does not auto track weight lifting to be fair none of the rings do. Not a good product at all

Ensure that the battery is fully charged before using the ring, as a completely drained battery may prevent it from functioning properly. Additionally, if the ring is too loose on your finger, it may not accurately measure health data or could stop working altogether. For optimal performance, wear the ring on a finger that fits securely, making sure the orientation indicator on the outside of the ring is facing your palm and that the sensor is in contact with your skin for accurate measurements. |Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At first I was adverse to any fitness products because they were, well at least at the beginning, weren't very accurate and did not pertain to me when they first released fitness trackers. Now about a decade later, I find myself a bit older and find myself looking at health a bit more than I did when I was younger. I had all the smart watches but never really used the fitness part of the smartwatches. I felt it I didn't need it in my daily life. Nowdays, my view is different. I do look to see if I am active day to day to keep my aging body from, well aging. Ok, so I am now willing to try out what these fitness trackers nowdays offers and when the Galaxy ring came out, I was very interested. Why? For me, being a power user in smart watches, I tend to really use devices day to day. With the ring, because there is no display, only a few low powered LEDs I felt would fit in my life a bit better than a smart watch. I did use the Galaxy Ring sizer Samsung offers to make sure you have the proper fit. It is recommened to use the Galaxy ring on an index finger, which works out, because I wear rings, other than my wedding ring on my index finder or pointing finger anyways. After I spent about an hour with the right sizer ring, I decided on my size. When I did get the actual Galaxy ring, I was impressed by the quality off the bat. Yes this is a pricey piece of tech, but the titanium casing is pretty well done. I have worn it for about a week and it has not scratched at all. The clear case is pretty cool, I have to admit, it looks space aged tech. It basically looks like an ice cube, but it does have a cool factor. But keep in mind the case is also a charging case so it holds charge and can recharge your ring in a pinch. It's rare, but it's good to know you have it if you need it. This Galaxy ring is pretty light and you do forget you have it on. I wash my hands a lot especially when I am cooking and I sometimes forgot to remove the Galaxy ring and cook and wash my hands in very hot water. This held up well! No issues at all. I have to admit though, I normally fidget with my rings and one of my rings are spinning rings so I had to change my behaviour in wearing this ring. Oh that reminds me, there is a notch that reminds you how you should wear the ring. The notch should always be on the palm side.That is where most of the LEDs are as well. I am using this Galaxy ring on a Pixel 8 Pro so I do not get to use the gestures and other features that marry with the latest Galaxy devices. But I am not really missing it. I am using it for health tracking and the metrics are nice in my opinion. I get to sleep with this ring on instead of my watch and it's pretty novel that it tracks snoring as well because it uses the phone's microphone for that. No every morning, with my coffee, I am able to quickly glance at the sleep metric to see how I did. I get to see oxygen levels, snoring, different types of stages of sleep, etc. I do like it. This ring has pretty seemlessly entered into my daily life. One thing I have to say that I don't shower with it. I mean you can, but I don't even shower with my wedding ring on. At that point, I use that time to charge up. I have used the ring without charging for about 4 days and it was at around 50 percent before I put the ring on it's charger. It does charge pretty quickly. Would I recommed this? Heck yes! But it is kind of pricey, but the latest tech will cost some cash. It works and works well and the battery can last up to about maybe 6 days. That can vary because if you have a larger ring, the battery will be larger and in turn last about a day longer. I have a size 10 ring. In my usage, it can probably last til day 6.

I took up an interest in the Galaxy Ring because I do not like wearing my Galaxy Watch 4 while I sleep and it is too difficult anyway because it does not stay charged long enough. My impressions of the Galaxy Ring are pretty good. The battery life seems to last about a week which makes it ideal to wear while sleeping. Speaking of the sleep tracking feature it is very comprehensive. So much so in fact there is a lot of learning and reading involved to truly get a good understanding of all the factors that affect your sleep. The Galaxy Ring records your sleep time and evaluates your Physical recovery by monitoring your sleep cycles like deep sleep and Restfulness factor which tracks how much of the time you are actually sleeping during the night. Charts with a line graph are included with Awake, Rem Light and Deep to indicate how your night was. Sleep score factors also include Mental recovery and your sleep cycles as well which all factor into the total analysis. Sleep time is also a factor and too much sleep is also not good apparently. There is also a very comprehensive sleep stage chart with a color-coded graph and below that a chart indicating the time you spent in each cycle broken down into percentages for each one. The Galaxy Ring also keeps track of your Blood Oxygen during sleep which is very important and can indicate whether or not you may need to contact a physician and possibly get a sleep study to check for sleep apnea. It also tracks snoring which can also be a symptom of sleep apnea. Two additional items that are tracked while sleeping are Skin temperature and Heart rate. The skin temperature feature can be used by females to to help them time their menstrual cycle. The Heart rate and Respiratory rate are also important factors in getting an overall picture of your health and can indicate issues that may be present. The Galaxy Ring has far more features regarding sleep tracking than my watch and once I get a good understanding of how it all works together to give me a good picture of my situation I believe it will be a very useful tool. TBed/wake time consistency and sleep timing. Your energy score also includes your daily activity level from the previous day. Your Galaxy ring will also measure your heart rate via your phone on demand and at regular intervals throughout the day. However, it only derives the results from this if you are not wearing a Galaxy watch which actually means your watch is not actively connected to your phone. If you are someone that does not like wearing a watch or someone who likes wearing traditional watches but still wants to track your health the Galaxy Ring is a great option and I am very impressed by this first-generation product. You can tell that Samsung put a lot of time and effort into this product it shows by how much detail is given in the tracking parameters. The battery life is very good and the ring is definitely more comfortable to wear than a watch which makes it easy to keep on all of the time. Oh and it is completely waterproof of course because I guess it has to be right. If you are a person interested in an unobtrusive way to monitor a wide array of your health parameters the Galaxy Ring is definitely.
