I still wanted this ring so I purchased another new one from best buy in hopes that the new one worked out better will update this later. I was glad that the other one was easy to return.

Since it is under warranty, I took it to the Samsung store in Cerritos, CA. Tested and it passed so they can't do anything per corporate policy. I told them they can have my ring for further testing and they won't do it since it passed their "test". For the hundreds of dollars spent, be warned of the battery life. I now have a ring that can not be used. Maybe wait for the product to mature or try Oura rings instead.

However the oura ring is hands down better. I may just have to pay the monthly fee

Pros: It looks great, is super light, and seems to be durable. Be sure to use the sizing kit because size 8 is not a true size 8 at a jeweler. It seems to take heart rate once every 10 minutes which is cool to see and track. I hope there are future updates to include more

That said, the charging case is nice, although I'd prefer black to fit with the rest of my Samsung gang. Like all smart rings, these can't be recycled or repaired. They're expensive disposable electronics. If you don't have or intend to get the watch, go ahead and buy this thing, but you'd be better off with the watch.
