Hey there Andy, thank you for finding the free time out of your busy day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your feedback as we strive to be innovative while improving the design and functionality of our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The battery life of the Galaxy Ring will last for up to 7 days of consecutive use on a full charge. When you are not using the Ring, it is recommended to store it in the charging case. You can fully charge the Ring in about 90 minutes using the charging case. However, when charging for the first time or when the battery is completely drained, it may take at least ten minutes for the Ring to begin working. Actual battery life, charging time, and usage time may vary depending on the Ring’s size, the network environment, personal usage patterns, amount of calls and messages, charging frequency, and other factors. Charge time varies with settings, usage patterns, and environmental factors; actual results may vary. If you would like to learn more, feel free to check out "How to charge the Galaxy Ring." Let us know if you would like any further assistance afterward by reaching out to Support. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra Samsung

Aloha DameonM, thank you for finding the opportunity to share your sentiments with us about your Samsung Galaxy Ring. We value your feedback as we are committed to constant innovation as we strive to improve the design and functionality of our product line. If your Samsung Galaxy Ring is hurting your finger, it likely means the ring is too tight and is restricting blood circulation; this is most common if you've chosen the wrong size or if your finger swells throughout the day, especially during activities like exercise or at night when your body temperature drops. Feel free to check out, "How to set up and wear your Galaxy Ring (samsung.com)" to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your device. Feel free to reach out to Support afterward if you would like any further assistance. Thanks for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra Samsung

I base my observations on the Galaxy Ring after using it continuously for the past several days. I wear the ring on my ring finger, since even the size 13 ring was too small for my index or middle fingers. Also, I have to use my dominant hand, as I already have a wedding ring on my left hand. This little device does many things well: - Step counting is generally accurate, but hand motion can register “false steps”. (I wonder if this is one of the reasons for Samsung recommending wearing the Ring on the non-dominant hand.) - Heart rate is recorded very reliably. - It will start recording data on my running as soon as I start, and will cease when I have finished. - Recording of sleep cycles appears to be amazingly accurate. - The battery does last 6-7 days. Recharging is very easy with the elegant charging case. There are other things that are not done so well: - Oxygen saturation during sleep may not be particularly reliable. My readings are frequently low at night, but I know by other medical testing that I do not have any sleep disorder. - Granted there is no GPS with this device, but the Samsung Health app does calculate a distance for my running (which is far longer than the actual distance). - All performance data must be viewed in the Samsung Health app, as there obviously is no way to display data on the Ring itself. The Samsung Galaxy Ring is a bit more obtrusive than a standard wedding ring, and although I have gotten used to it, it reminds me that it is there often (again, this might be different if I were to wear it on my left ring finger). I do admit that it is easier to wear than a watch, however. I am happy with the data I get from my exercise sessions regarding steps, cadences, and heart rate. I will probably not wear it continuously, however, because of the way it feels on my hand. I might also use it from time to time at night, to check on the consistency of my sleep. I could readily recommend this device to a friend who understands these limitations and wants a compact fitness monitor.

Not really a jewelry guy by any means but its a nice product. Battery life is great. I wear jt all the time and charge it in its case while i shower. Tyoically i only need to chargw it about twice a week i think. Pairs seamlessly with my s24 ultra. Seems accurate when compared to my apple watch ultra. They get about the same data. I got the matte black and its nice looking. Love the charging case. Looks futuristic.

I bought this ring because I got tired of having to wear my watch all the time to track my steps. It pairs quickly with my samsung phone. (I can not see it on my samsung watch. it would be nice to see the battery life on my watch) So for the ring works well. But i will say at night while im wearing it when the red and green lights comes on it is distracting. Over all the ring dose what is says it will do. Battery life is about 3 days, however my only concern is the only way to charge this ring is through the charging box. I have looked online and there are no replacement charging boxes available so if I lose this box i will be SOL I guess I'll have to buy a new ring. The price is quite high, but i bought it open box so it was half the price.

First off, this is an amazing piece of technology. Somehow the Samsung people have packed an insane amount of functionality in this ring and the accompanying app. Out of the box, you get the ring, a charging case, and a USB C cable. Download the Samsung Wearable app and pair the ring to your phone. Then just wear it and collect data about your health. The case is multi function; When you place the ring inside, it lights up to indicate the charge level. The case also is a charger and can be powered with its internal battery or a USB C cable . It also can be placed on a wireless charging pad which is a thoughtful and impressive feature. An unexpected feature of the app is the "find my ring" function. When activated the ring's LEDs will flash. This will not be very effective if the ring is at the bottom of a lake or, for that matter, a pile of laundry. However, this is way better than nothing and provides at least some level of security. The issue with a small / micro device is you must rely on opening your phone and loading the app to get any of the data. After using this for a week, I think it is well worth it. This is so lightweight I hardly notice it. For my purposes getting real time data is not very important so this is working great. Inside the app, you can track many important things such as sleep activity including blood oxygen and temperature. Also tracked are heart rate, and steps. You can also input workout information and diet. Adding all this up is a great way to put all your fitness information in one place.

Unacceptable Customer Service and Product Quality

I pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Ring and received it on August 19, 2024 (Order SA059809327). However, approximately two months later, the battery started draining from 100% to 0% in about 12 hours. I contacted customer support, and it was immediately apparent that the representatives were incompetent, as they began telling me that if moisture entered the device, the warranty would be voided. This was not the case, but their response clearly indicated a lack of knowledge. As a result, a Service Request Number 4178630331 was created, and on November 5, 2024, I sent the ring for repair. The ring arrived at Samsung's office in Dallas, Texas on November 7, 2024. On November 11, 2024, the ring was returned to me, and I received it on November 12, 2024. I had been on a business trip and didn’t open the package until November 30, 2024, at which point I noticed that no repair had been performed; instead, I had received a new ring, but the charging case was still the old one. I began using the new ring, but within two weeks, it stopped working and would not turn on. I reached out to customer support again, but once again, I encountered incompetence. They threatened that if the ring was found to be in proper condition, I would be charged for the shipping costs. Eventually, a new Service Request Number 4178933544 was created, and I sent the ring on December 12, 2024. The ring arrived at Samsung’s office in Dallas, Texas on December 13, 2024, but it wasn’t processed until December 17, 2024. On December 18, 2024, I received an email stating: "Please be advised that your Samsung service ticket [4178933544] has been placed on a temporary hold due to an unavailable part. Parts will be available within 7 days. As soon as the part becomes available, your device will be repaired and shipped promptly." On December 20, 2024, I received a similar message: "Please be advised that your Samsung service ticket [4178933544] has been placed on a temporary hold due to an unavailable part. Parts will be available within 7 days. As soon as the part becomes available, your device will be repaired and shipped promptly." On December 29, 2024, I received another email stating: "Please be advised that your Samsung SM-Q501NZKAXAR was not repaired. The unrepaired unit will be returned to you, and the expected ship date is 12/20/2024." Naturally, I contacted customer support, and they assured me that they would reach out to either refund me or provide a new ring. I have been writing to support every few days, and they keep promising that I will be contacted within 48-72 hours. However, it has been 10 days, and no one has reached out to me. I have not received either a new ring, a refund, or even my original ring. Customer support continuously lies, sets deadlines, and then fails to meet them. I am redirected to the refrigerator service department, which further illustrates their lack of professionalism and complete disregard for their customers. But that's not all. I have been a loyal Samsung customer, using not only the ring but also their smartwatches, phone, tablet, and headphones. Recently, when talking on the phone and using my Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, people started telling me they couldn’t hear me. As a result, I created Service Request Number 4179170050 and sent my earbuds for repair. While I understood that the warranty might not cover the right earbud, which had fallen and cracked, the left one was in good condition, yet its microphones were not working. The next day, after the earbuds arrived, I received an email informing me that the repair cost would be $177.53. Meanwhile, a new pair of these earbuds is priced at $189.99 on Samsung’s official website, and they can be purchased for under $100 on eBay. At this point, it became clear to me that Samsung does not prioritize customer satisfaction or loyalty. The company's focus is solely on making a profit in the moment. Therefore, I can only recommend Samsung products if your goal is to get back at someone.

The ring came in and fit just as it should. So far its been a month and I have not had any problems. It tracks as it is supposed to and the battery life lasts about a week. Maybe a little longer. I have also worn the ring during work and while tearing apart the motor in my truck and there are no signs of scuffs or scratches at all

DO NOT BUY the Galaxy Ring

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased the Galaxy ring back in September. At first the battery lasted 5-6 days, but then by the 3rd week it was only lasting 1.5 days. I called Samsung support and they told me the ring is under warranty and to ship it to their service center in Irving, TX ... which I did. Well, they lost the ring and now they're refusing to replace it. I've even tried to escalate my case up to the office of the CEO (just a complaint email process, I don't actually correspond with the CEO), but that wasn't helpful. Essentially, a multi-billion dollar company loses a customers $400 Galaxy Ring, and now they're refusing to take responsibility for it. So the multi-billion dollar company doesn't lose anything ... but the little customer is out $400 with no recourse. So disappointing.

I've been a loyal Samsung customer since their first Galaxy phone. I have enjoyed every product, from phones to watches, laptops to even refrigerators. But this product is horrible. I wore it for a couple of days and no matter what, (even after resets) it doesn't track my steps, sleep, or activities. Only thing that works is the heart rate monitor. Yeah, well my watch already does that. I had it paired with my Samsung Note 20 Ultra running all the updated software, and no-go. Just sits on the finger and blinks. When I go into developer options, and look at the data, it shows null memory, it shows that the sensors are working, they just don't record anything. This is going back, and I'll just use my watch. So disappointed

Salutations Wolfie, thanks for taking the opportunity to review your Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your feedback allows us to remain committed to constant innovation as we strive to improve the design and functionality of our product line. Our goal is for our customers to feel like they are having the most marvelous experiences when using our products. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If you're experiencing some disconnect with your Galaxy Ring's tracking abilities, please make sure that your Galaxy Ring is properly fitted and not too loose. Also, check to see if it needs to be cleaned. Dirty sensors can make tracking difficult. Feel free to check out, "Keep your Galaxy Ring clean" for more information. Keep in mind that certain features, like step counting, may not work properly if you're holding a magnet or a magnetic object in the hand wearing the ring. A good night’s rest is crucial for feeling and staying healthy, and the Galaxy Ring can make sure you’re receiving the best sleep possible. Your ring will analyze your sleep, including your blood oxygen and skin temperature, and provide useful data in the Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Health apps on your phone. Before starting, make sure your Galaxy Ring is connected to the Galaxy Wearable app then take a moment to review, "Track your sleep with the Galaxy Ring." If you would like any further assistance after reviewing the resources shared, feel free to contact Samsung Support. Thank you for being a dedicated Samsung customer. - Debra Samsung
