Do not buy this product. My ring stopped holding a charge after 6 months. I tried to get the ring repaired or replaced under the warrantee. First they denied that the ring was under warrantee: I uploaded the receipts, they agreed the warrantee was valid until March 2026. Then the website/customer support gave me the run around for several days, then on November 1, they declared the warrantee expired October 31. What a bunch of crooks.

simply did not work as adverstiesed. I thought at first was hardware, so retured for another device. Had exact same issues with the second unit. Spent better part of 3 weeks working with Samsung support....to keep it short, inept, unprodutive, and not a good experience at all. They had me keep sending the exact same things...over and over. I was super excited about the ring....feel a little crushed to be honest. Issues: Did not track sleep accuratly Did not track heart rate accuralty (yes it was sized correctly)

Hi there CHRISF, thanks for taking the time out of your day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your feedback allows us to continue to strive in providing the best products with superior functionality on the market to our customers. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The Galaxy Ring tracks various health and wellness metrics which includes activity, sleep, heart rate, and menstrual cycle (using skin temperature). The Galaxy Ring does not offer continuous heart rate tracking in the same way as a Galaxy might. It primarily measures heart rate periodically and automatically detects workouts to track heart rate during those periods. However, it does not provide a constant, real-time heart rate reading throughout the day. Please check out, "Track your sleep with the Galaxy Ring" when you have the time to learn more about utilizing this feature. If you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact Support. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra Samsung

Before I begin my review, let me recommend you get the Galaxy Ring Sizing Kit to ensure that you properly size the Ring before ordering it. It had been such a long time since I last purchased a ring that I didn’t have any idea which size to order. I also didn’t know which finger I wanted to wear the ring on, so ordering the Galaxy Ring Sizing Kit was a big help. The sizing kit has 9 different sizes to choose from, ranging from size 5 to size 13. Do keep in mind that the Galaxy Ring only comes in whole sizes, not half or quarter sizes. For example, you won’t be able to order a Galaxy Ring in size 7.5. Also keep in mind that the larger the ring size, the bigger the internal battery. The one I chose was a size 13, the largest size available. As such, it has about a week’s worth of battery. Size 13 has a 23.5ma battery, while the smaller ring sizes will have respectively smaller batteries. Now, about the Ring: ================== My size 13 Ring is very light weight, so much so that I forget that I’m wearing it. I wear it all day long, and all night long, too. I wear it when exercising – including when I’m lifting weights. I wear it when cooking, cleaning, showering, and sleeping. I am sometimes aware I’m wearing the Ring during certain activities - like playing golf or lifting weights. It’s to be expected, and I simply adjust my grip so that it’s not a problem. The charging case for the Ring is a transparent plastic. It is a very attractive case that has a USB type-C port on the rear for recharging the case itself. Flip open the case and you’ll find a nub that the Ring slides onto in order to store and/or recharge the ring. The top of the nub has a button you can press. Tap the button once and a white circle of light illuminates to show you how much battery capacity the case has left. As noted in the previous paragraph, just slide the Ring down on the nub until it is fully seated to start the Ring’s recharge process. From all the information I’ve gathered, the case has sufficient battery capacity for an additional 1.5 ring charges. You can go from 0% battery to 40% in just about 30 minutes if you need to quick charge the Ring. In addition to just tapping the button on the nub to see the case’s battery level, tap and hold the button to turn on pairing mode if you need to transfer the Ring to a different Android phone. To manage the Ring, you will need to install the Galaxy Wear app on your Android phone. I have a Samsung Smart Watch as well, so the Wear app shows me both the watch and the ring. It also shows me the battery levels of both. I haven’t let the ring’s battery get too low at this writing, so I don’t know if the Wear app will alert me with a low-battery notification for the Ring if it runs low on battery. Before I forget, please note that the Galaxy Ring does not need a subscription. And, it does not replace the need for having a smartwatch. In addition to monitoring your heartbeat, the Ring also monitors skin temperature and blood oxygen. Skin temperature can help women predict when their monthly cycles will begin (per Samsung). It also has a heart rate alert. The feature allows you to specify how low or how high your heart rate is to go for the app to trigger an alert. This hasn’t happened to me yet, so I don’t know what the alert looks like. I have my Low Heart Rate set at 40 beats per minute and my High Heart Rate set to 120. The Ring can and does monitor your sleep. I don’t wear my smartwatch at night, so all sleep related information I find in the Samsung Heath app originates from the Ring. One funny note: Since receiving the Ring, people have been asking me why I’m wearing a wedding ring on my index finger. I have the matte black version of the Ring and it does look just like a wedding ring. In conclusion, I like this ring. It’s a set and forget type of device – which is exactly my style. And as I noted above, it’s so light that I forget I’m wearing it. And since it looks like a genuine ring, you don’t look like a Borg character from some Star Trek series. Very cool!

The ring is good, but I needed one size up. I got a great price and it came with a $100 gift card! After receiving mutiple conflicting answers from several calls and chats with BestBuy customer service, a visit to the store, and a call to corporate with the store manager There is no exchange allowed. To get the correct size, I would have to return the ring that did not fit and purchase the size I needed at the current price. I would lose the amazing sale price and the gift card promotion!! So, I just returned it. I was really bummed about it.

Product battery would go out in under 24 hours after 7 months or regular use so I sent it for repairs. Device has no physical damage and it's never been wore while submerged in water. Buyer Beware

The main reason for the 1 star review is 2-fold. Initially, I liked the ring. I bought it mainly to track my sleep apnea and 02 scores while asleep. All of the other stuff was just icing on the cake. It was a steep investment monetarily for the price, but if it did the job, worth it. When I later discovered it had a shelf life of barely over 2 years and 400 charge cycles, I was put off but it wasn't a deal breaker. It was then I decided to just wear it at night to track my sleep scores, which should extend the life of the ring greatly. Then I found out I get a very limited sleep reading when I only wear it at night and no 02 scores at all. It was at this point I decided to return it, but when I went on the BB site to start a return, I discovered the return window had closed, yet I'd only had the ring for 15 days. Evidently you have only 14 days to return the product. This has turned my stomach to owning anything Samsung ever again, including TV's and phones. I don't like being taken advantage of like that after having been a good customer for decades.

It is ridiculous Best Buy will not honor the sale price while doing exchanges on sizes because "it will hurt the bottom line as it is not the same SKU." Maybe it's my fault, but the return policy is very unclear on Best Buy's website. $170 difference FYI.
