The Samsung Ring is the latest in wearable technology, offering an unobtrusive combination of health monitoring, fitness, and sleep tracking. Design and Comfort: The minimalistic yet stylish design makes the Samsung Ring suitable for both casual and formal occasions. It comes in various sizes to ensure an optimal fit, and Samsung even offers a sizing kit to help you find the perfect match. Despite housing several advanced sensors, the ring is lightweight and comfortable, making it easy to forget you’re even wearing it. Health and Fitness Tracking: The Samsung Ring truly excels in health monitoring. It tracks heart rate, sleep patterns, blood oxygen levels, and skin temperature with impressive accuracy. The sleep tracking feature is particularly noteworthy, providing in-depth insights into your sleep stages and overall sleep quality. Additionally, the ring functions as a fitness tracker, counting your steps, calories burned, and even offering advanced metrics like VO2 max. However, it does fall short in some areas, lacking the detailed workout tracking features found in dedicated fitness watches. Smart Features: While primarily focused on health and fitness, the Samsung Ring integrates seamlessly within Samsung's health ecosystem, combining data from other Samsung fitness devices. This integration enhances the overall user experience, making it easier to manage and track your health data across multiple devices. Battery Life: Given its compact size, the battery life of the Samsung Ring is impressive, lasting on average 6 to 7 days. The stylish charging case makes recharging quick and easy, with a full charge taking about an hour. Final Thoughts: Overall, I am very happy with the Samsung Ring and look forward to using it to achieve my health and fitness goals. Its combination of style, comfort, and advanced tracking features make it a valuable addition to any health-conscious individual’s tech arsenal.

Overinflates step count. Sleep tracking is hit or miss (for instance, it will record only a small portion of my nightly sleep). The only good thing about this product is the battery life. I regret purchasing this.

The ring looks and feels amazing. Leaps ahead of the competition. However, the activity tracking is absolutely atrocious. The step tracking, which is arguably one of the easiest and most important features for a fitness wearable to have, is just terrible. It tracks my steps when I'm driving a car and in the time it took me to walk up and use the bathroom. I apparently walked over a 150 steps. This thing easily doubles or triples the amount of steps you walk and detects any movement of your hand as steps walked it's absolutely, horrendous.

Battery Life Diminishes After About A Month

I have been wearing my size 12 Titanium Silver Galaxy Ring for 6 weeks now, and it was great up until about a week ago. I use it in conjunction with the Galaxy Watch Ultra. When I first got my ring, I would get 8-9 days out of a full charge. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed the battery life started dropping significantly. It's gotten so bad now that I have to charge it every other day. My Galaxy Watch Ultra now has better battery life than my Galaxy Ring. I've been doing some reading, and this seems like a pretty common problem, with some users getting less than a day of battery life. I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue or if it's something that can be fixed with a software update, but it seems that after about a month of use, the battery begins to fail on these rings.

The ring is good, but I needed one size up. I got a great price and it came with a $100 gift card! After receiving mutiple conflicting answers from several calls and chats with BestBuy customer service, a visit to the store, and a call to corporate with the store manager There is no exchange allowed. To get the correct size, I would have to return the ring that did not fit and purchase the size I needed at the current price. I would lose the amazing sale price and the gift card promotion!! So, I just returned it. I was really bummed about it.

Salutations Kilmerw, thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your candor as we make every effort to improve the design and functionality of our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Feel free to check out, "How to charge the Galaxy Ring" if you would like to learn more about your battery life. If you would like to share any other feedback with us or if you would like any further assistance, do not hesitate to contact Support. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra Samsung

BLUF; the ring sizing kit is a must. The Galaxy Ring is feather light, durable but not indestructible, water resistant but not water proof. It's great at tracking vitals. I love the info and the look. I got the ring sizing kit which is a must have because these rings don't size like normal rings. There are three noticeable sensors on the inside which throws off the fit. With that and the price of these rings it's worth making sure the size is right. The ring is very sleek, light weight, and comfortable. I barely notice it. I haven't had any skin irritation wearing it constantly. Water and sweat doesn't get trapped under it. I've done every day living with it and yard work which it withstood. However, when I worked out with weights, it finally got dinged. So I'd recommend not wearing it during any heavy work out. It resists most scratches but not metal on metal with heavy weight. It also just wasn't very comfortable holding a bar with it on anyway. I'm a little disappointed that it isn't waterproof. The manual says that it can withstand 30min underwater and can only go 5 feet deep. That's some decent swimming workout but not a day at the pool. It also shouldn't be in saltwater killing using it at the beach. I love all the health info I get from this and my Energy Score. It helps me dial-in where problem areas are like quality of sleep and activity level. It dives deeper in than just saying you need to get up and move more. It actually tells me I need to move less and give my body some recovery time. So I appreciate the holistic view I get. My favorite part is the sleep monitoring so I can know how to feel more rested. The sensors barely move on my finger so I haven't had any issues with data gaps. The battery life is excellent. I wore it almost a week without charging it and I still didn't need to I just did it for piece of mind. This allows for maximum tracking time. I put it on the charger before I took a shower and it was ready to go by the time I was ready for the day. The case looks very elegant and holds a charge all on it's own. With the availability and speed of the charge, you should never be without this ring. This lasts longer and tracks better than a smart watch. I'm more impressed than I thought I'd be with this ring and have been telling my friends all about it. I would recommend getting this. The health data collected, AI analyzed, and reported with written breakdowns is a game changer for me.

Garbage. This thing worked for a few months then slowly just gave up. Features are useless, inaccurate and duplicative. The sleep tracking is terrible even though the form factor is so much better than wearing a watch for sleep. This is the first time I felt like I wasted money on a Samsung product. Stay away. Battery life is horrible. It works sometimes, other times it doesnt. It is unreliable and not worth the price at all.

The ring stopped charging after 10 months. Sent it back to samsung and it took them 4 weeks to return the item saying they cant fix it without the charger. Now i have to fill out another repair request. Make another trip to a ups store and start the entire process over. Horrible experience The ring sizing is off. Before I begin my review, let me recommend you get the Galaxy Ring Sizing Kit to ensure that you properly size the Ring before ordering it. It had been such a long time since I last purchased a ring that I didn’t have any idea which size to order. I also didn’t know which finger I wanted to wear the ring on, so ordering the Galaxy Ring Sizing Kit was a big help. The sizing kit has 9 different sizes to choose from, ranging from size 5 to size 13. Do keep in mind that the Galaxy Ring only comes in whole sizes, not half or quarter sizes. For example, you won’t be able to order a Galaxy Ring in size 7.5. Also keep in mind that the larger the ring size, the bigger the internal battery. The one I chose was a size 13, the largest size available. As such, it has about a week’s worth of battery. Size 13 has a 23.5ma battery, while the smaller ring sizes will have respectively smaller batteries. Now, about the Ring: ================== My size 13 Ring is very light weight, so much so that I forget that I’m wearing it. I wear it all day long, and all night long, too. I wear it when exercising – including when I’m lifting weights. I wear it when cooking, cleaning, showering, and sleeping. I am sometimes aware I’m wearing the Ring during certain activities - like playing golf or lifting weights. It’s to be expected, and I simply adjust my grip so that it’s not a problem. The charging case for the Ring is a transparent plastic. It is a very attractive case that has a USB type-C port on the rear for recharging the case itself. Flip open the case and you’ll find a nub that the Ring slides onto in order to store and/or recharge the ring. The top of the nub has a button you can press. Tap the button once and a white circle of light illuminates to show you how much battery capacity the case has left. As noted in the previous paragraph, just slide the Ring down on the nub until it is fully seated to start the Ring’s recharge process. From all the information I’ve gathered, the case has sufficient battery capacity for an additional 1.5 ring charges. You can go from 0% battery to 40% in just about 30 minutes if you need to quick charge the Ring. In addition to just tapping the button on the nub to see the case’s battery level, tap and hold the button to turn on pairing mode if you need to transfer the Ring to a different Android phone. To manage the Ring, you will need to install the Galaxy Wear app on your Android phone. I have a Samsung Smart Watch as well, so the Wear app shows me both the watch and the ring. It also shows me the battery levels of both. I haven’t let the ring’s battery get too low at this writing, so I don’t know if the Wear app will alert me with a low-battery notification for the Ring if it runs low on battery. Before I forget, please note that the Galaxy Ring does not need a subscription. And, it does not replace the need for having a smartwatch. In addition to monitoring your heartbeat, the Ring also monitors skin temperature and blood oxygen. Skin temperature can help women predict when their monthly cycles will begin (per Samsung). It also has a heart rate alert. The feature allows you to specify how low or how high your heart rate is to go for the app to trigger an alert. This hasn’t happened to me yet, so I don’t know what the alert looks like. I have my Low Heart Rate set at 40 beats per minute and my High Heart Rate set to 120. The Ring can and does monitor your sleep. I don’t wear my smartwatch at night, so all sleep related information I find in the Samsung Heath app originates from the Ring. One funny note: Since receiving the Ring, people have been asking me why I’m wearing a wedding ring on my index finger. I have the matte black version of the Ring and it does look just like a wedding ring. In conclusion, I like this ring. It’s a set and forget type of device – which is exactly my style. And as I noted above, it’s so light that I forget I’m wearing it. And since it looks like a genuine ring, you don’t look like a Borg character from some Star Trek series. Very cool!

It’s been 3 months and the battery is dying in less than one day. Used to last a week. Poor product. Samsung has me jumping through hoops for a refund. Don’t waste your money or time. Do a search and see what has happened to other people.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Greetings DarrellJ, thank you for taking the time to reach out and share your feedback with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your candor as we strive to improve our product line. Also, usage patterns, frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please feel free to review "How to charge the Galaxy Ring" to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing with your device. Reach out to Support afterward if you would like any further assistance or if you have any questions. Thanks for being a loyal Samsung customer. - Debra Samsung
