I purchased this at launch, with the key features (to me) being the screen and camera performance. The screen quality and 120hz will ruin every other touch screen experience for you, but the camera left a lot to be desired at the time of purchase. However, I'm happy to report that with recent updates it's been exactly what I was hoping for - the camera performance is outstanding. Additionally, the UI is excellent (paired with 120hz screen it's as smooth of an experience as I've ever had with a phone) battery easily lasts 2 days and call quality is great.

Moving to this phone from the S9+ is amazing. I do miss the swipe down on the fingerprint sensor for notifications and the LED indicator light, but other than that this phone is better in every way. The camera is amazing. Running it at 120Hz 1080p is very smooth and good to look at. The battery life is awesome. I use it all day and don't have to charge for the first time in a while. Lol.

Good phone. Had it just a little over a year now. Only issue I'm having is battery life has died down quite a bit. Part of it is my settings and part is me charging. I'm a truck driver, so I'm always trying to keep it charged for maps and communication. One major complaint I have is trying to find chargers to use for vehicles for fast/super-fast charging. If you don't use a fast charge or super-fast charger, it will take FOREVER to charge the device. I had a wireless/Qi charger in my truck, but it didn't hold up well for this phone. Found a charger at a stop that seems to work for now though. Overall, I think the phone is good, fast, and user friendly. I would recommend for some office type of applications and videos. Camera is great on this phone. Not a pro photographer but there are some great capabilities within this phone that I know I haven't discovered in the 1yr+ I've had it. Added some pics I've taken with the phone for those who want to know what the camera is like from an amateur user.

It was time to upgrade my phone, and I wanted a better camera. It is an extravagance considering its high cost, but the camera doesn't disappoint. I also wanted 5G for the future, though here in North Dakota, there are no 5G towers in range. The phone works fine on 4G for now and I'll be able to upgrade my account when and if I think it's necessary. I've uploaded photos from the camera to display the quality of the images. These images are unedited except for the watermark, minor cropping, and compression to fit the review file size allotted.

I never buy expensive cell phones I'm always able to accomplish what I need with a 75$ to 100$ cell. Nothing compares to this ultra and never did I think I would spend 1,300$ on a phone but worth it especially after BESTBUY gave me 600$ for my s10 and the 200$ in Samsung bucks for preorder they let me take the phone and my s10 home to do my transfer because the store was closing and the next day I took my s10 to them.

Bought in 2020, it served me well. I was really rooting for Samsung since I changed from apple. Might just be this line, but the screen randomly turned all white or all green today. I'm sad because I took such good care, not one scratch, never dropped or ever been under any water. I can barely see anything but touch still works. So, it's a screen issue, it failed on me shortly after the recent update. Started with faint grey line static but I figured I could deal with it. Didn't expect this though. Had to enter pin by memory and miraculously backed up my phone when the screen temporarily came back(fully normal too? but only for 3 hours), but now I think its staying dead screened. A little nervous to rely on this phone, might have to trade in for apple again? It was a very pretty phone though with long lasting battery life and amazing zoom/photo quality.

Having gone from an S10 to an S20 I do see a difference. Faster, smoother and a better camera. No 5G yet, but at least I am ready. Battery life seems superior and Samsung & Best Buy made it easy to migrate from old phone. Face recognition in all but detent light is still "eh". Accidental touch control seems a little behind Apple, but it could just be me. Too early to say with certainty, but looks like a winner so far. This said, without the trade in allowance and Samsung cash I likely would not have gotten it due to price. They make a good effort to retain customers as this is my 5th Galaxy phone.

I pre-ordered the S20 Ultra and have been using for 5 days. the phone I upgraded from was the Note 9, which I used for the last 1 1/2 yrs. I was concerned that it was going to be too big / heavy, but I have been pleasantly surprised that it is just a tad bigger and the weight is a non issue. This phone is better in every way; Battery is fantastic so far, after over 15 hrs of moderate usage I still have 40% left. It is much faster w/the 120 mhz. Awesome display and the camera is great, esp w/the 10x and 30x zoom. The 100x is kind of a gimmick but it is fun to play around with. The 5g is no big deal at the moment, but should come in play in the future. I noticed someone commented about having an issue with the finger print scanner and volume controls being on the right side of the phone but I have no issue with it and have already gotten use to it.

Here's the truth about the GS20 Ultra...it was marketed on gimmick features instead of the core features and I think that was a mistake. The screen is great, the battery life is great, it's fast, and the cameras are great with an *. The core features shine but the gimmicks are where this phone comes up short and that's why reviews are mixed.

This phone is very fast, and takes beautiful photos. I was really looking to stay with the Droid family, but I saw the camera this phone has and was excited to get one. Biggest thing I do with my phone is take pictures, so I hope this phone never disappoints. I have only had the phone a few weeks, and it seems pretty simple to navigate so far. The sound and video is very nice as well. I have yet to try out the head phones it came with yet. Only issue I have come across so far is that if your phone is on silent, the alarm will not play thru like the Droid phones do. Plan on getting a bigger micro SD as my photos are filling quickly.

My old Samsung Galaxy s9+ had a battery that was running down quicker than it should, and I saw the deal with pre-ordered Samsung s20 Ultra 5g 128GB, I couldn't resist. I'm still learning the camera operation but what I have figured out is that it takes great pictures, has great potential for me as I learn to operate it. I'm definitely happy with the phone's operation, quicker than the old Samsung, haven't had any glitches, apps are working perfectly, some apps are different like Android Auto has a different app that works called Android Auto for phone screen, probably because of the new operating system. I really like the phone and with the pre-order price I couldn't be more pleased.

Thus far, I am pleased with the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The camera is fabulous (watching movies is dynamic!); I like the 128GB's of storage and I also bought an SD card. I'm still learning some of the features but this is a much better phone than the Note 8. The only things I don't like thus far are the phone tries to force me to use Bixby (because of the Buds+) and Google Assistant which I don't want to use either. Would also have been good to have more color choices. The only color available to me as a Verizon customer was cosmic black. However this is a great phone!

I LOVE this phone!! I have had Samsung Notes in the past, loved having the stylus, but chose this one over the note because of the camera. The cameras in the Notes have been amazing lately but this one takes the cake. I did a side by side comparison in the store of the newest note on pre-order and this phone with the camera, and this one was so much better I chose it. The facial recognition on this one is much better too. It wouldn't work for me on previous devises (I wear glasses) but this one works very well.

I've long been a Samsung fan, although I also appreciate the quality of Apple phones and enjoy comparing the strengths and weaknesses of the hardware and software of each. Over the years, I've grown very fond of the Samsung software environment, although I have winced at a few spectacularly daft decisions they've made. Before purchasing this phone, I was running a Samsung Galaxy S8+ from June of 2017 -- just about three years is a spectacular life these days. But it had finally just gotten too old and slow and its battery was wearing out. I also had some AMOLED screen burn-in from the keyboard that was getting very irritating. Finally biting the bullet on this was a huge expenditure. I managed to catch a sale, and my wife and I upgraded at the same time. She got black and I got gray. The upgrade in store was entirely painless; the guy that helped us was a genius. I spent the remainder of the afternoon "moving in". The phone was surprisingly familiar from the first moment. It had a larger screen and was definitely heavier, but I have big hands and don't mind. I was pleasantly surprised that my wife loved the larger phone, as well; she got a pop-socket for her case. In the intervening two months, I've learned that this phone is an absolute BEAST. Absolutely amazing. 12gb of RAM means it doesn't slow down or glitch no matter what I'm doing. The camera is gorgeous (yes, a software patch fixed the focusing issues in early handsets). Photos are gorgeous, it literally does everything but cook my breakfast. Make sure to get a good case that protects the large camera housing on the rear. I ended up getting a nice Speck case that does the job admirably. I also got a 2-piece screen protector that protects both the main screen and the cameras. If you are moving in from an Apple, you may still end up preferring the Apple software environment. Then again, you might find some neat things that you really like about these new Sammys. Everyone's taste is a little different. But for previous Android or Samsung users: don't hesitate. Buy it. It's a FANTASTIC phone.

No surprise here... it's a Samsung Galaxy phone, did you expect a bad review? It is as advertised: amazing screen, awesome refresh rate, unbelievable amount of memory for a phone, a long lasting battery, and a really good camera (future updates should improve it even more). Is it expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for. If you like big phones and don't mind a heavier phone (it's not that heavy and you get used to it quickly), then you cannot go wrong with the S20 Ultra.
