I got this phone to replace my galaxy s5, huge upgrade! Great software, camera, hardware.

I love this phone. The camera quality is superb and the facial recognition is incredible!

I have been using MetroPCS for a number of years now and had been using a Samsung Galaxy Avant. This phone is a tremendous upgrade. I love the larger screen, the speed, the camera, and even the fingerprint scanner on the back. I discovered that, for me at least, touching the sensor on the back is the simplest and fastest way to wake the phone. I absolutely love wireless charging. I initially had some difficulty with a cheap charging pad that wouldn't charge through my Otter Box case, but when I upgraded to the Samsung fast charger it worked perfectly. As for the bad, I hated Bixby. I had some problems with the Bixby button being pressed accidentally while I was trying to do something else and getting stuck in some setup mode I had a hard time getting out of. But I disabled it and haven't had that issue again. My only other minor quibble is there does not appear to be a way to set up one touch calling. On my old phone, I had a home screen with one touch shortcuts that I reached by swiping right. Right swiping belongs exclusively to Bixby though, The Edge screen is a nice substitute, but it takes two touches to call. Not a huge deal but the phone icon is pretty tiny and easy to miss. Oh, one warning. I was told by the BB sales associate that they could transfer the sim card from my old phone to my new phone and thus avoid a trip to a MetroPCS store. Several hours later I was told, oh that doesn't really work with MetroPCS.

I decided to switch over to Android from iOS because I wanted a change. Although the bestbuy customer service representative had told me that I could pick up the phones the same day in the store that I travelled one hour to. In the end that store did not have two and so I had to wait till next week to receive them. That was a big disappointment. Other than that once I received them I did fall in love with the HD display. It is quite taller than the iPhone. Although I'll always be a iOS fan. I am enjoying my new device! I would recommend the night mode camera for fireworks and such on the S8 but for daytime photos I would recommend the iPhone. The battery life lasts long. But of course overtime smartphone batteries will eventually wear out. That's just a given since it is a smartphone after all. I would recommend this phone to those who are looking for a change and willing to explore all the features and take the time to learn them all.

So far so good with the S8. It's fast. Has a great camera. Was a little leary of the curved glass but it's fine so far. Have decided to forego a screen saver for now. Most of the ones I've read about seem to impede the touch screen. I'll see how good Gorilla Glass really is.

It really takes some getting used to not having a physical Home button on my phone. Can be annoying sometimes when the virtual button disappears. Also not a huge fan of the tall thin design. I understand the USB-C design but I have at least 6 micro usb cords and it's a little hard to find USB-C as easily. Other than those things, it is fast and has a great camera and I would still recommend it.

Got phone for my daughter she love it. Was easy to use and the only down side was price.

This was my first good phone. Has more stuff than I know what to do with. However I wish it had wifi calling. This may be due to my provider though. Also the texting keyboard does not have stickers or gifs which would have been nice. But camera is great and has lots of space for all my apps.

This is a premium device. My previous galaxy was the S6. The S8's battery life is far superior. The bixby digital assistant button is annoying at first but the pros outweigh that small inconvenience. Awesome camera and video capabilities. 4k HDR video files look superb.

I've had this phone since July of 2017. It is an amazing phone and I love everything about it. The camera is amazing and fast. I love the slow motion feature in the video settings. This is the most expensive phone I have ever purchased. It was well worth it!

I love the memory and the display on this phone and the camera with gadgets is awsome.

This is my first unlocked phone... and man... this is the only way to go. My wireless carrier is Verizon, and I hate the restrictions and bloatware that automatically gets attached to a Verizon phone. I've had to root my previous phone just to rid the bloatware and increase its capabilities. Well... with this phone, I don't need to root it. This is also my first Samsung phone...I came from a long line of Motorola... and I just love this phone. It's fast, the display is BEAUTIFUL, 64GB memory with expandable capabilities...who's going to complain??? Unless you are still a child and require a baby phone (a.k.a. iPhone). Bixby voice just launched last week... and I'm still getting familiar with it and all it's capabilities.

Best Galaxy yet. New screen is large but phone feels manageable. Fast and easy to use
