I bought this phone for a loved one with smaller hands. She has jumped up from the S5 and loves the speed and the quality of the camera.

The phone is relatively light, has a good camera, and seems to be quite fast. It appears able to turn-on by double tapping, but I haven't found any way, other than to download an app, to allow it to be turned off by tapping. (I haven't tried a tapping-app yet to see if that causes any problems.) And of course the phone is not inexpensive.

I purchased an unlocked S* for my son as a birthday present. Although we have a family plan on Sprint my thinking was we could switch to another carrier eventually because Sprint no longer offered a two year plan with subsidised phones so this phone turned out to be less expensive (but a BIG headache) read on. I bought the S8 unlocked online at BB because it said pickup in an hour and they had it in stock. Also, I could get a small ebates rebate. Anyway, when I got the email from BB confirming my order, it said pickup was in one week. Obviously, not what I wanted to hear. I called up the store and indeed they had one in stock. I went to the store but they would not give it to me unless I cancelled my online order and purchased it at the store (the same store that I was supposed to pick it up at). After discussing this with the dept manager and then the store manager, they made me cancel the online order and buy it from them although the manager did give me the ebates rebate off the price (which I appreciated). What a messed up system. Next I gave the phone to my son who tried to activate it on sprint, transferring his sims card from his S6 to the S8. While the sims card fits both phones, Sprint wouldn't activate the S8 without a new sims card which had to be 'purchased' from a Sprint store. It turns out that only a corporate store has the necessary SIM and customer service would not ship one to him. After going to a few retail sprint stores which didn't have the Sim card he called the only corporate store in Manhattan. They had a Sim card and would give it to him for free. He travels after work to the corporate store and guess what, they don't have the necessary sim card. They tell him to call customer service which he had already done. When he tells the store employee that won't send him a card, the employee says "they always say that, try again." Which he does. Well it's 14 days since I bought the phone for him and the Sim card is supposed to be delivered today from Sprint by mail.. Wish him luck. I did.

The phone is great, but it is really fragile and the back part breaks

It has a wonderful screen resolution and has a great camera experience

The colors of this phone are phenomenal. On top of that, it has a very good batter life (it lasts all day when I have the screen on for 8-10 hours with the brightness fairly high). My only complaint is that the phone is SUPER slippery. I usually like keeping my phones naked, but this one is the first one ever that I felt obligated to get a case, lest it slip out of my hand. However, don't let that dissuade you. If you're looking for a new phone, this is a great option. You may just need to buy a case for it too.

The phone is awesome and very easy to use. The battery less long time

This is the phone to get if it comes on sale if you want a 2017 Android phone. Works with all carriers and only has Samsung bloatware.

I usually always believe in going very secure on IT products but I found that eye, fingerprint or even a password is too much to do if you want to answer a phone call before it goes to voicemail. Answering with the side button works great. Also, options for the phone can be a challenge to find. Still looking on how to increase the number of rings. Also, still trying to optimize it to save the battery. Using a Smart Phone for the first time, I was not happy about having to set up another email account to get apps.

This is the best Samsung yet. The rest of my family opted for the apple variety of smart phone. But they cannot match the level of customization, the flexibility of cheap storage option nor the quality of photos from my S8.

I have been a samsung user for few years already and This purchase of S8 is the 3rd in a row Iam buying for my family. all 3 who used it, switched from Apple and were totally happy with the new phones camera, video and design.

Upgraded to the S8 and it has been everything I thought it would be. It has a beautiful screen, great camera, nice finger print sensor, and just a pleasure to have. It’s also very thin and fits well in my pants pocket. Love it

Phone is very fast and powerful. Plenty of memory for all my apps.
