I am completely satisfied with the Galaxy S8. I read reviews that state the finger print reader is poorly located and a bad feature for this phone. I COMPLETELY DISAGREE. I have had this phone for several days now and the finger print reader performs perfectly for me. Do not believe the hype, it works and it works great. I use an otterbox symmetry and have no issues with the phone's fingerprint device. I can not comment on how it works with other cases because I have not used any other case. Purchase this phone and you will not be disappointed.

I came from a IPhone 6. I am loving this phone. I got the unlocked version. So far the best phone ever.

This is by far the best Phone I've ever owned, its overall performance is amazing, I have for a week now and I cant put it down, the screen is just phenomenal and big. One complaint and just one, the finger print reader is in a bad spot, it needs to be placed below the camera or somewhere else.....is just in the wrong spot. Great job Samsung.

With Apple running out of steam, my wife decided to give the S8 a try rather than fork over all that money to Apple for the same old thing. She is extremely happy with the phone. The Samsung interface is so much more user friendly and flexible. The screen is gorgeous and the phone feels great in the hand. Battery life is easily full-day. I think she is now a Samsung fan!

It works acceptably. I'm glad I caught it on sale for a little over $600. Would have felt completely ripped off if I paid full price. Hate the curved screen. It makes typing far more difficult and I'm always messing up. It also makes text warp/unreadable at the edges sometimes. There's a glare at the edges when looking at your phone. And, the fact it took me a few tries to find a case that kept the edges protected from breakage. It took me 40 minutes to install a screen protector. Can only use film screen protectors because glass are incompatible. The battery life is okay. I get 4-6 hrs of screen on time still. Camera use eats the battery very fast. I have to charge my phone for a bit in the afternoon/evening if I'm planning to go somewhere and use my phone. Fast charging is good. I have had the issue of my phone restarted at times. Not very often, thankfully. No screen burn in or cracks, but I'm thinking QC was very hit and miss and I just lucked out. I don't plan to take a chance on another Samsung or any other curved screens. I have low volume issues over bluetooth. My wifi goes wonky sometimes. Updates were a lot slower with the unlocked phone. They eventually came though, but it was annoying. And, no way I was paying full price to be through a carrier. The camera is just decent. Main shooter works pretty well, but nothing amazing. Best to turn off the HDR unless you want to be artistic and unrealistic. The selfie camera is easily blurry and not very detailed compared with something like the pixel and some others. It's decent, but nothing great. Very hard to fit multiple people in the image, especially if you want a pic with your smaller child. Newer phones offer wider views to let more people into the selfie. The mono-speaker stinks. The speaker phone is terrible. Touch sensitivity on the screen is hit and miss. The reception is just okay. I am selling my phone and getting a Pixel 3a. They are currently the same price, so this is my warning review for those taking the time to read through. Specs and execution of specs are different things. I don't think I'll spend this much on a phone ever again, now that mid-range phones are getting decent cameras and stereo speakers. If you can get the phone for cheap, then it is okay. It has the android pie update, now. But, I don't think I would buy it new, even for $400. FYI, I tested cameras at Best buy and the S10 camera is WORSE than the S8. I think they haven't properly optimized the software to handle the hardware.

I am fan of Samsung phones. Had Note 3, Galaxy S7 Edge and now got it for my daughter. She switched from iPhone to S8. She loves it. This phone has everything you want and looks great. But....Why Samsung decided to add something, no one wants: Bixby and extra button to call it. That button is always on the way of volume control and constantly getting pressed. Samsung is great at hardware, so leave it this way. You are not good at software. Leave Digital Assistance to the boys who knows how to do it: Google. Just that addition ruin the whole experience with S8. One more note, If you (Samsung) decided to add extra button, so let users to re-map it and not use any unstable software to do that. Samsung, once again, shot themselves in the foot with Bixby. Why 2 stars? I would even wanted to post it as one star for Samsung, somehow, take a notice. Now another issues: Screen shoot. Does not work while playing video or playing game. What happened. It used to work on S7. Here is another one. Screen aspect ratio makes screen longer, but the maximum grid size for Home screen I can do only 5x5? Why? This leftover from S7 and it should be at least 5x6 or even 5x7. One more...Soft keys background is black while displaying Home screen and for most of applications (if not all) making it look like a bezel.

I've had the phone for a little over a year now and it has been flawless. I've always had iPhones in the past so it took me a little while to get use to Android operating system. These things are SOOO customizable you can truly make it YOUR phone. The display is truly beautiful. I can see keeping this phone for another three years.

I have been an iPhone user for many years and decided to try the S8 this past week. I love the phone, but will be switching to the iPhone 7 Plus because the speakers are God awful. The camera, screen, and speed of the phone are all exceptional. If you are not a fan of watching movies or listening to music with your phone, then this is the phone for you. If not, steer clear.

Excellent phone that I have used it more than 3 years and still working with just a small lag when using few apps but worth the price and quality of the model.

I bought this one for my Wife, but I didn't enjoy it as an iPhone user, the build feels cheap and the haptic response of vibration is very poor, so yeah it is a good average phone, but not something extra ordinary to throw your money at, I was going to buy a phone for my Wife anyways but then I saw $200 off here and bought this one.

This is the phone I currently have and I love it I will buy nothing else but Samsung Galaxy phones that have best cell phones that I've ever had and the only ones I would ever buy

IP68 Rating no Handset is perfect butt since Galaxy S5 best phone Samsung has built up until 2019 all others are just copies S10essintial only other consideration.

Powerful device. Upgraded from Moto X Pure. I find that this streams music better over Bluetooth. The moto would garble music when it multitask. This also handles Anroid Auto better.

The only issue with the unlocked samsung phones where that they used to get updates late but that seems to have changed. I have got all monthly security updates on time till now.

Great phone. It worked perfect for years, until forced to upgrade for 5g.

Great phone. Worked fantastic for years. Probably one of my favorites.

Decent phone, definitely good processing speed and the camera is what i expected. However, I was very disappointed to find a deep scratch (no bigger than the width of my pinky, but deep enough to feel and see rainbow pixels under it). Considering this is supposed to be gorilla glass, I was shocked to find this scratch occurred in a matter of a couple hours of me being in my house (not dropping or putting the phone anywhere compromising). I am still uncertain as to how it happened, but certainly unhappy that it did.

I bought this phone today and it works on T-mobile just fine and all the features work just as intended awesome phone!

I'm not sure if I can get used to this phone coming from a Nexus 6. Since it's a 5.8" screen and Nexus 6 is 5.9", I didn't expect there to be a huge difference. But there is. It's so super narrow it's about the same width as a normal ratio 5" phone. It appears much smaller in person than I expected when I ordered it. That I may be able to adapt to. It's the curved edges that are horrible. Not only do they make it appear even more narrow, but things on the edge are slightly distorted and the color is off unless you look at it dead on, and even then I can see a bit of distortion and discoloration on the curved edges. At an angle it's unbearable the way the edges are darker than the rest of the screen. It's especially noticeable when the screen is a solid light color, with the edges having a blue tint. This alone is a deal breaker for me. It's hard to look at. If it was a flat, even surface it would be so much better. I don't predict this gimmick catching on. At least I hope it doesn't.
