Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Galaxy S8's camera, long battery life, user-friendly interface, and reasonable price point. They appreciate that the phone is unlocked, allowing them to use it with any carrier. Some users find the phone to be fragile and slippery, and dislike the pre-installed software (bloatware).

I bought the S8 phone just after the S10 got released because the price dropped considerably... It was half the price of the S10. It was the perfect deal! So I went ahead and bought it. It's been a month or two and so far I haven't had any problems. Given that the S8 has a SDM 835 processor, it performs quite well. Not as fast as the latest flagships, but it does the job without any lagging. Camera is also great on this phone. I have taken a lot of pictures and the photos are up to par with today's standards. Low light photography could've been better, but for the price, I can't really say much more. Battery life is also above average. So is the connectivity. I frequently visit other countries for either vacation or work and the S8 has always been connected to a 4G network everywhere. I haven't had any calling issues so far. After receiving the Android P one UI update, usability has become even better. My only complaint is the positioning of the fingerprint sensor. This was a really dumb move by Samsung and they should have figured this was not practical during the development stage of the phone. Overall rating: 4/5.

Overall great phone. Was going to upgrade to the S8+, but no need. The phone is plenty large. Screen is very clear and easy to hold with the slimmer profile. ++Camera(s) front is quite nice as well ++Design. Absolutely beautiful ++ Battery lasts almost a day + -- Feels like one solid drop and this thing will break -- Screen sides can have false touches. -- It's a flagship phone.....everyone seems to have one...not very "exclusive"

I'm over 65 but didn't find this cell overly complicated or difficult to get used to compared to my old slider cell. Photo images are crisp and clear. Audio sound good...not tinny sounding. No dropped calls & great coverage through Straight Talk via Verizon CDMA network. Games and apps have performed flawlessly. I don't care for the calendar one beep appointment notification although you are offered a choice to dismiss or snooze the notification for 5 minutes...if you are quick enough to push the snooze option. Otherwise, you get one notification at your original chosen time and that's it (unless I haven't figured out how to get notified every 5 minutes thru the duration of the beginning/ending times I chose. Screen is still rather touchy/sensitive even after adjusting sensitivity option and will load an app you barely touched and didn't want to open. Minor stuff because it's a really good performing unlocked cell for $499 when it's on sale.

I had to finally throw in the towel with my Windows Phone Nokia Lumia 925 being abandoned by Microsoft. The S8 far surpassed any expectations I had. I also purchased the Samsung EVO Plus 128GB SD card to expand the memory for pictures, music, and video. I went with the unlocked version because 1. I don't want to be tied to any carrier. 2. The $574.99 Black Friday price was far less expensive than $28/mo more on my phone bill for 30 months. :)

Upgraded from S4 and it is SOOO much faster. Service with AT&T and no problem with transfer of data or service. Got the Alpha glass and Otterbox case and I would not buy the Alpha Glass again. The touch sensitivity with it is horrible. May take it off to save my sanity. But the phone is great! Also, the wireless charger would NOT work with the Otterbox cover on it. Will have to return that. Also, love the cobalt blue color.

I was a bit hesitant to upgrade to the Samsung S8, but since I was going out of the country I thought it best to invest in this reputedly awesome cellphone. And indeed it has been great using this phone. I love taking pictures and the photos are just awesome, clear and sharp. Even my friends who use the iPhone want to buy the Samsung S8 because they get to compare the pictures taken from the S8 and their iPhone 7. Great buy!

We recently updated our smartphones from Samsung S3's to the Samsung S8. Well, needless to say the transformation is quite astounding. The S8 is loaded with features and upgrades. The case itself, while not the reason to buy, is narrower than the S3 and therefore easier to hold for longer conversations. The case is longer and again is able to provide more reading space as well as larger photographs. A great buy!

Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this one, I love all of the new features upgrading from a S6 Active. I welcome back the use of a memory card with open arms, as it was truly missed for those who take a lot of video/pictures. The battery life is the BEST that I have had since the un-killable Nokia phones of years ago, first charge lasted two full days of use and still had 15% before plugging it in.

this is a beautiful cell phone. The design is really good. I have looked many people complain about the fingerprint place, but I think that for the design is the best place. If you see the back part, really it looks beautiful; I can not imagine it in other better place. just one thing bad, the fast charge really it is not too fast. I have had other cellphone whit qc 3.0 and that fast charge is better

Upgraded from the s5 (yes I know I am that far behind) to the s8 and omg in Love with all the features and the camera is fantastic. Such a huge difference. The only downside I find is that the "Bixby" button is pretty close to the volume so I find I hit it by mistake a lot. I am sure I will get more used to it thou
