Very happy with this phone. Camera works very well. Had some trouble transferring photos from my old phone. Phone keys on the edges are somewhat temperamental. Dictation does not work well.

Phone has almost no lag, and feels good to use. I'd recommend getting a case to go along with it as it's quite slippery without one.

Buying an unlocked phone is the way to go! It costs more up front, but less frustration without all the carrier marketing.

Better than expected pictures and editing software. This phone seems to be comparable to an iphone in many ways. Very happy so far!!

The Galaxy S8 has great camera pictures and making connections is the fastest I have had yet. Surf and text and GPS to places faster

Bought as replacement for Huawei Mate 9 that died suddenly. Really wanted another Galaxy Note, but the 8 wasn't out yet. Settled for S8. Oh, what a mistake. All the usual non removable samsung bloatware and glitchy samsungized apps, but this phone is the WORST ergonomic design I've ever had to endure. Obviously NOBODY at Samsung actually USES the products they dump on the consumer. The fingerprint sensor location is ABSURD!! Seriously, Samsung?? Also, the sensor is THE WORST I've used yet at recognizing my fingerprint. I had to reload prints several times to get it to work at all, and then it's extremely temperamental. Sometimes it reads (S-L-O-W-L-Y), but mostly it ignores me. Conversely, my Huawei Mate 9 recognizes my fingerprint in a fraction of a second, EVERY TIME.. even when my hands are dirty or wet. Samsung FP reader is so fickle it is absolutely worthless. I had to go back to using PIN or other security measures. Although, Samsung says the screen is 5.8", it is VERY NARROW aspect ratio, aka a candy bar. Makes reading text difficult in portrait mode. That, coupled with the idiotic rounded glass edge screen pushes the legibility & usability rating to ZERO. Perhaps Samsung thinks they are selling S8's mainly to children, but I need a phone suitable for business/scientific applications. This phone is NOT IT. Further, right after I bought the phone, slid it into my shirt pocket... which unfortunately also contained my keys. Didn't have screen protector yet (was on order), but I was shocked to see the screen chipped on one edge. After several days, the crack migrated across the entire screen, typical of tempered glass when chipped on edge. Another downfall of curved edge displays. Other issues: Despite 3GB ram, 64GB storage, and 128GB of Samsung ultrafast SD storage, this phone is the SLOWEST I've had yet in the high end/phablet type. App lag is noticeable, ranging from annoying to significant - even with the stock Android/Samsung apps. Also, apps frequently close unexpectedly or crash altogether (same apps run fine on my other android phones). Conversely, my aging Galaxy Note 3 (which was an outstanding phone, aside from Samsung bloatware) was very responsive and reliable, even though less memory/storage, and less powerful CPU. Samsung has been going downhill ever since the Note 3. Complacency and arrogance, not a good business mix. Overall, extremely dissatisfied with this S8. Was considering buying a Note 8, but given the similarity to S8, and all the problems I've had, plus Samsung's arrogant attitude, not only will I not buy a NOTE 8, but I will not purchase ANY SAMSUNG product for my business or personal use. Had way too many problems with them. Done with Samsung. Adios, Tschüs, Bye-bye..

Quality excellent. Just bought this phone didn't want to spend big $$ for Galaxy 9. Don't need to...phone is great.

This is by far the best phone and greatest screen/camera on any phone I've owned and I've owned a lot of phones. The one drawback is the fragility of this unit. Shattered the screen with a two foot drop in a parking lot without a case or screen protector. Samsung did replace the screen for free since I only had it for 16 days. I now have a $45 screen protector and a $40 Otterbox case so I feel a TAD bit better. Enjoy this phone if you buy it just protect it the best you can. Only reason it gets a 4 star is the fact it's the most breakable phone Samsung has ever produced.

My old phone died, so decided to get the new Samsung S8. Best choice I made, this phone does what I expect with good battery life.

I needed something with lots of storage space and something that also wouldn't restrict me on absolutely anything I wanted to do.

It’s a good buy the functionality is very close to S9 - camera is good and it can be used under water overall a great buy.
