    I wanted an unlocked phone to have flexibility, however, I didn't expect there to be differences in an unlocked vs locked phone. Some features are not available on an unlocked phone and are carrier specific. Example. Visual voicemail was not available through my carrier ATT. The app to download was not compatible for unlocked, but would be if it was locked to ATT. There are other differences that I noticed, but not until after I bought the phone. However, not enough for me to return. I like unlocked flexibility and love the S9+
