Once these beacons detect a signal from a device that is being sought out by its owner, they will relay that information to the SmartThings Find network; allowing you to see the approximate location of where your lost SmartTag 2 last transmitted its signal. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If your Galaxy SmartTag2 keeps freezing or slowing down, remove the battery and reinsert it. If needed, you can also reset your SmartTag2. Here's how: 1. Insert the ejection pin supplied with the product or a clip into the battery tray hole and pull out the battery tray gently from the battery tray slot. 2. After pressing and releasing the button once, insert the battery tray into the battery tray slot while pressing the button again. 3. Hold the button for more than 7 seconds until the product makes a sound. If the battery has not been properly recognized, the product will make a sound immediately after inserting the battery. If this happens, try the method again. Please ensure the SmartTag2 is properly connected to your phone's network and that the SmartThings app is up to date. When the tracker's location is being reported in the SmartThings app, a circle will appear around the estimated area. While there may be slight variations in the estimated location, this circle provides an accurate approximation of its current position. Since the SmartThings Tracker relies on cellular LTE data to send its location to the SmartThings Cloud, its estimated location can vary based on the signal strength in the area. For instance, if the tracker is located in a densely populated area during peak hours, the cellular signal might be weaker. Consequently, depending on both signal strength and network traffic, it may take anywhere from several seconds to several minutes for location updates to appear in the SmartThings app. If you continue to experience this, please be sure to reach out to us at Support for additional assistance. -Kelvin
