    Can't get it to tell us that it ever leaves our house with my wife's newer Galaxy. Works a little bit with my son's older Galaxy, but poorly. Junk. Waste of money.

Samsung provides a on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The SmartTag2 utilizes the SmartThings Find network which consists of many other "findable" Galaxy devices that work as beacons by sending out signals. Once these beacons detect a signal from a device that is being sought out by its owner, they will relay that information to the SmartThings Find network; allowing you to see the approximate location of where your lost SmartTag2 last transmitted its signal. Other Galaxy users that are participating in the SmartThings Find network help with updating your SmartTag2's location within the app. We would be more than happy to assist you with what you may be experiencing with your device, but we need a few more details before we can do so.     Thought it would work more like a gps tracker. It only works off of other Samsung devices if near by to give location or to track.

These devices are designed to work seamlessly with Galaxy phones and tablets equipped with the latest SmartThings app version. A single device can manage up to 200 SmartTags, though wireless communication limits may restrict simultaneous connections. It's important to note that each item can only be associated with one SmartTag at a time. The SmartTag2 utilizes the SmartThings Find network which consists of many other "findable" Galaxy devices that work as beacons by sending out signals. Once these beacons detect a signal from a device that is being sought out by its owner, they will relay that information to the SmartThings Find network; allowing you to see the approximate location of where your lost SmartTag2 last transmitted its signal.     My experience with this so far is pretty neutral. I have it in a car just in case. If I want to find the tracker it tells me to wait for about five minutes before I can search. I like it but it could be better. You have to use smart things app.

    Using it on my dogs collar, he likes to roam, and i use it to call him back. But, it does not have much range

    I bought this to keep track of my cat that sometimes runs out the door and down the street. Basically, this thing is useless. I lost the cat and the tag. It was set up correctly. It shows the cat is in my house(on the map), but also says the tag is far away. It keeps losing connection. Ringing is useless when the cat is likely in the cornfield 1/4 mile away. But i did try it. This won't even give me a general area to look for my cat. My best guess is, it narrowed it down to a 700 mile radius.

    Awful and returned them. They have virtually no volume when you ring them, even if volume is set to "high."

      Hello Consumer, thank you for sharing your feedback with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2. We appreciate your constructive input as we improve our product line. Here's a few tips when it comes to the volume of your SmartTag2: 1 - Ensure the ringtone you've chosen is set to "High" in the SmartThings app but also try switching between the available ringtones, as some sounds have higher, more penetrating frequencies than others. 2 - While the SmartTag2 is actively ringing and you are trying to find it, turn up your phone's media volume, as this can typically boost the output of the tag during an active search. A few things to keep in mind: 1 - A low battery can severely impact speaker volume. If the battery is not operating at full 3V capacity, the sound will be faint. 2 - Sometimes the battery connection is weak. Use the ejector pin to take the tray out, rotate the battery slightly, and re-insert it. 3 - Ensure the SmartTag is not in power-saving mode, as this can restrict functionality. If those tips do not resolve your low volume; a Samsung phone with Ultra-Wideband (UWB) are able to use the directional "Search Nearby" feature to guide you to the exact spot, rather than relying on sound. The screen will also show a "cold" to "hot" signal strength indicator to guide you, even if you can't hear the beep.     Not as expected

    It stopped working after using it for 1 year it shows it has a full battery but it's not working anymore, actually it just worked for 6 months I haven't open the app after that later when I need to check my location it stopped working

    Better than nothing

    Almost all of the time when its not in the same room, it gives me the one location within a few houses down. At the airport pick up when I use it, it doesn't tell me that it's coming and then all of a sudden it just pops up. It doesn't work that well, but it's better than nothing when you are traveling, would they check in bag.
