I will admit, I have had multiple tablets, and returned them all. When I saw this tablet on sale at Best Buy I just had to get it, as Samsung is a well known brand. I love this thing. I use it on a daily basis from emails to Instagram. It does freeze up every so often, but nothing terrible. And, if you have many open processes or apps, this is expected. The screen is very clear & HD movies and TV shows look great. I only have a few complaints with this. The battery life is not great. It's not terrible, but it could do better. The memory is a big issue. 8GB is installed in this unit but only 4GB is available for use. This remains a big issue as even if you buy a microSD card, you cannot move apps to the SD card, only files. So, if you're on the fence about his tablet, go for it. The great price and quality product will keep you happy.

I was choosing between this tablet and the Nexus 7. Almost got the Nexus until I realized there was no SD reader which is basically a deal breaker. I use my tablet and phone almost as much as my Mac so storage is definitely needed. I am SOOO glad I made this choice. The 7in is the perfect size and I have no real issues at all. Its like using a bigger version of my S4 which I love. It does lag intermittently but I am not sure if thats the tablet as much as it may be my connection. I have satellite internet which is obviously not the best on the market. Overall. I LOVe IT!! I have already talked 2 of my friends into it - its a great value for the price

My needs may not be the same as others, but I have read the negative reviews and happen to agree with most, but they are not negatives that affect my use of the tablet itself. The tablet can be slow and the screen has its moments. I got this tablet for free, but now that I have used it, the sale price on it seems very reasonable. I use this tablet for travel mostly. I rarely use it at home. My son will use it at home for games though and the size is right for his small hands. Neither the speed or average screen resolution matters to him. To deal with the speed issue, I looked on youtube to find some post about minor changes that help with the speed. They helped. The only issue I have is that I continually have to mess with a setting to keep the speed. Minor issue for me though. The screen resolution for watching movies is nice. I don't notice any real issues with it. For games however, it only looks alright. None of the games have good graphics, just average. It is not a vibrant screen by any means. Again though, I do not mind this. The rest of the tablet is good. I have encountered no real issues with it. I have never had issues watching a show or movie straight through without interruption as some have suggested. I am wondering if it was a poor connection that they may have encountered? If you are a someone who likes the latest and greatest, this is not something you should consider. If you are new to tablets or are looking for something that works and is cheap, this would be a nice choice.

My son just turned 5 and we were shopping for a tablet but not trying to break the bank. Looked at others that were a little more "kid friendly" but nothing else that was name brand had a full App Store. He's used to playing on an iPad so I knew that he would be careful with it so we went for it. He LOVES it!!!! I don't like that you can't put a password on it like apple products before downloading apps but that's really my only gripe. To get around that we just decided to keep the wifi turned off. Easy solution to the problem!! We are super glad we picked this one!

I've had the Tab 2 for about 2 weeks and just returned it and got the Tab 3 for $30 more. At only $199 it's a pretty sweet tablet. Tab 2 was already smooth, so I don't see too much of a difference in having an extra .2 GHz but I'm glad to have it. The MicroUSB port (Tab 2 has something else) alone was reason enough for me to pay the extra $30.

I was looking to replace my kindle when I found this reasonably priced puppy. My husband has the Galaxy Tab 2 (he got it last Christmas) and loves it. So, I was already fairly familiar with it when I decided to skip the kindle and go for quite the upgrade. I LOVE IT. It is so easy to use, has a gorgeous interface, and does everything the iPad does--even it's own version of Siri! And even though I've only had it a couple days, I'm already finding so many ways that I use it! I'm so happy with this purchase!

this is the best tablet so far i have had. i had a few and this is great it's fast does what i went to do with it. I love the smart remote it controls everything at one time. this is better then my real remotes. I thinking about buying one just for that use only it would be worth it. it put the tv guide on it you click it and changes the tv that station. it controls the volume of both of my sound system at once. have not found a remote that will do that yet this the one. the thing get on web real good and fast just your laptop. the only thing i found wrong is the WIFI antenna is down at the bottom of the tablet where the home and back keys so if you use with it up and down when you hold there it blocks the signal. i just turn it upside down and have the home and back keys at the top it will get very good signal that way

Picked this up for my mother in law as she's got a Samsung Galaxy S3, so this would be an easy transition into the tablet world. She loves it because it's like a giant cell phone (that's a compliment from her). Naysayers (like myself) would bring up the lower res display and last gen CPU/RAM, but for the $139 I paid I wouldn't complain. There better tablets out there, but there's a budget for everyone.

Recently, it was given to me as a gift. I was really exited about it because not to long I bought a Galaxy S4 phone and is amazing; No complains there what so ever. I can’t say the same about the tablet. The 1st thing I realized was that the tablet was a bit too heavy for the size. I was really disappointed when the 2nd day the screen went black with an error message indicating "Kernel Panic Upload Mode". There’s nothing you can do but wait until you restart or reboot the tablet. Note: While on this mode the battery went from an 85% battery life to 1%. I wasn’t taking any chances so I took it back and got a new one. Up to this day I have no problem with the new exchanged item. The Image on this item is very poor considering others tablets and not impress with the camera. GOOD FEED: • The Price is really reasonable; know a day you can’t ask to mush for $200 bucks. • Nice size, not to big neither small. •I can control my Samsung TV with it. • Movies look pretty good considering. • Easy to manage • Have an extra micro ship space for storage; just incase you ran out off storage. • Manage well with most of all apps. Over is a 50-50. If you’re a person that likes to keep your tablet packed to the max or go to school I do not recommend this Item. If it’s for gaming, Apps, Internet and music it will handle just fine. Hands down the Phone “Galaxy S4” is by far the best product out there.

Bought the Galaxy Tab for Son and one for mother. Son uses it more for browsing and learning/gaming apps. Very easy for him to use even as a young child. Mother uses it for social media but mostly for learning and training apps from a recent brain injury. The ability to touch and swipe makes it easy for her to navigate through each page/app. the color and clarity are very good and with wireless built in system, can be used anywhere where wireless available.

I had high hope for this tablet. I dropped Lenovo to pick Samsung up, and I found that, the display is outstanding, but the touch screen response is slow every now and then. In some case, like Fruit Ninja, while you are playing the game, it won't notice your finger touch at all. The fruit got slow and looks like it was about to freeze. This doesn't seem to happen with the competitor tablet. Scrolling documentations also sometimes make me dizzy because of its slowness. SO it is a deal breaker for me. Go test it out at the store before you order one just to end up returning it (or getting mad over it). The memory is also low. 8G for storage and system memory: I suppose Samsung app uses up a lot of RAM on top of Jelly Bean. Your palms are like to touch the home button or the corners of the screen and interrupt whatever you are doing on the tablet. Otherwise, if you only use it for netflix and check email and don't mind always holding it carefully, go for it.

I like this little tablet it is great at its price point. It has the expandable ad slot which is great. I'd say for the price it's speed is good; but if you want more horsepower spend a little more and get the GST3-8. But if you just want a tablet that looks and feels nice this will do. The infrared blaster is cool; a free harmony like remote is a bonus! I like this thing and I'm an apple guy. This is my first android experience and is pretty good.

I can honestly say that any Galaxy product I have owned has never failed to impress me. I bought 2 of these as gifts and plan on buying 2 more. The only tiny thing I can complain about is that it does not have a flash for the camera but I knew that when I purchased them. Perfect for an avid user, beginner, child, anyone in general. Buy this product with no hesitation. Overall, I will always be a Samsung/android girl.

This product does all that it says it will. It is a very nice sized tablet with many apps already preloaded. Really like it because it is Wi-Fi only wasn't looking to purchase a unit that required a data plan. It looks just like my Samsung Galaxy Express phone which made using it very simple, easy and familiar.

i bought this for my brother as a gift and he loved it so i brought one for myself, samsung hasgreat products.

Great price for it. But have had it freeze up but goes back to normal after a little bit and does get pretty hot. But is wonderful... I have a galaxy s2 and this tablet downloaded all my apps to it right when I logged my stuff into it. Love the design of it and color.

Great little tablet for use at home. Missing some of the bells and whistles, such as NFC capability but for what I bought it for ... perfect. Have Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and this replaces the phone for most of the internet, daily tasks. Screen size is perfect, small, and portable ... couldn't ask for more.

I have it for 1 year and still working very good. I dont have any problem.

I love this tablet. My kids ages from 3-9 love it to. 3 year old has no problem going from app. To app on this. I love their protection plan as well. I have had this for about 7 months.

This is a great product. Great screen, sound quality. Holds great in your hand. Down side, you cant transfer APPs to the SD Card. After spendin time reviewing ratings ect, I didn't come across this issue until after the fact . This function would be great but according to Samsung there are no updates planned to include this function. The only way to get apps to the SD is to root your device. I personally don't want to do that. I know how I just don't want to void my warranty. My suggestion is to look at the higher end device that has the ability to trans apps to the SD card if that is what you are looking for. I bought this so my kids & I could have multiple apps to use.
