Microcard slot never works

Looked online for a Samsung cord for my model & couldn't find one. Generic cords didn't work. I decided to get this one & I am having the same problem with this tablet that I had with my old tablet. The memory card will not stay down in the slot and the flap will not stay closed. I keep getting error messages which says I don't have a card inserted. I've not seen any posts concerning this but I've had this problem with both Samsung Galaxy tablets I've owned. This tablet doesn't have much internal memory so I definitely need access to this card & not worry that it will fall out. Most likely will return because of this problem.
