I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab A because of the great price during Best Buy's holiday sales. I am impressed by the quality and finish of the tablet, but am less impressed by the speed of the processor. My kids would call it "laggy." Transitions are pretty slow compared to an iPad. It is a nice feature that you can expand the memory with a microSD card; however, you cannot put apps on the card so you are limited by the size of the internal memory. Overall I'm happy with the Galaxy Tab A, but in hindsight I wish I had ponied up the extra cash and purchased the model with more memory.

This was bought as a Christmas gift my my daughter and she loves it, it’s just the right size for her. Battery lasts all day once charged and it has a nice clear picture.

Love the Samsung tablets. I have 3 of them now, different sizes. They work while I'm in the car riding where others don't. They are great. I use them every day!

It is a slow tablet with very low memory. Can only load a few apps as it load up quickly. To update them you have to either clear the cach in the storage setting or delete an app. Even putting apps on the SD card it still reloads the on the internal and you have to reload them back on the SD card to up date the apps. The only thing going for it is it is small. To get more internal memory you have to buy a larger tablet. Don’t recommend it.

Tablet is a bit outdated and runs a lower version of Android. Assume that the stock Android version will be the last version pushed to the device. Tablet is slow due to some of the bloatware installed that can't be removed. Howmm ever, it works okay for single use apps like a daily YouTube or movie watcher. This would be great if it stays low and bought for children, as they won't care about the speed as most adults do.

It's a good beginners tablet. Just wish it had more Memory and RAM. It lags when too many apps are open. But it works for him.

This tablet is good for holding in one hand. Very easy to use. Next size up from a smartphone only, without the phone! Great for school use and for seniors who like to read the news and use the internet.

I'm a teacher and wanted something to hold in my hand while instructing. Didn't want anything bulky and this purchase is right on! It's light yet holds everything I need.

My husband bought this so he could manage his email and pay our bills while traveling. The large screen makes it easier for him to see yet it’s compact enough for travel.

I've had two other tablets and an e-reader with a touch screen, plus a touchscreen netbook, and this Galaxy Tab is the only one that's as responsive to touch as my phone. So that's good. But at 8 gb, its memory is just too small; you almost have to add a micro-SD card, at additional expense. And not all apps can be loaded onto the SD card, so you find the Galaxy Tab's 8 gb filling up quickly and the tablet running slowly as a result. If there were a way short of rooting to delete all of the Google and Samsung bloatware, this would be a much more usable tablet.

I bought this for my child and less then 30 days issues began. Used all my 8G with only 3 apps and then started losing apps I had. Took it back and got a new one. Hope it will go better. I am giving the tablet 3 Stars but the Best Buy service was 5 stars. I was supposed to send it to the manufacturer due to being over my 15 days by 5 days but Best Buy said no problem and exchanged my tablet for a new one with no problems. For that I purchased the store warranty for $25 this time. The tablet is Buy with caution but buying at Best Buy was great

Great tablet for the kids. Small enough for them to hold yet big enough to see everything. Quick and easy to navigate.

Bought this tablet for my 10 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it. The ease of use and the entertainment features keeps her glued to the device. It is the right size for someone of that age.

I am using it for 1 month and I like it. Good size,fast and easy to switch to foreign language. The screen is stable, does not rotate so much. Haven't connected to TV yet, somewhat complicated to stream.

I bought 5 of these for kids use but as kids want more and more games they easily fill up the internal memory. I let one of them use one of the 32 gb that we have and within a week she had downloaded over 100 apps. A little obsessive so if you want to teach your kid to manage what they want the most ie pick a few apps and not download the whole entire internet then this one may be the one for them and its $100 cheaper than the 32 gb. As an adult thought you will probably end up getting the 32.

This tablet is just ok. Nothing really to talk about. I would say that it's better suited as a kids tablet. Tablet does not have a or ac antenna so no 5ghz wifi connectivity also the connection speed of the 2.4GHZ is pretty slow compared to other devices in my home on 2.4. Kind of disappointed with samsung with this tablet.

The tablet is very easy to use . The apps are very accessible and very useful. The size of the screen is perfect for watching videos and reading email.

I use this to watch movies from Netflix and Amazon prime when I am not at home but have wifi access. I don't have issues since I use very few apps and do not use it for storage. Due to its low price, I am not afraid of having it stolen.

For the price, not a bad device. It has very low storage so you can not really load it up with to many apps. The operating system and built in apps take up about 4G of the 8G memory. My only issue is it freezes a lot and you have to really tap down hard on the screen to get it to unfreeze. I thought it was just my device but I had bought 2 of these and both freeze the same way. I also read reviews complaining about the freezing as well. It's not a big deal for me since I use it for watching movies or browsing the web.

I was pretty impressed by this tablet.. especially at the $99.99 price point. You're getting a good name-brand tablet with decent speed and screen resolution. It also comes with a very recent version of Android and the Google Play Store is fully supported. I purchased this for an elderly Uncle as a book reader, specifically for one-handed operation. I haven't really found anything to complain about with the exception of the home, back, and application keys on the bottom of the tablet not being illuminated.
