I wanted something to watch tv outside, and this tablet does the trick.

I wanted to write a nice review on this product, I really did but I am soured by the fact of the condition the product is in out of the box. There are scratches along the bottom and near the charge port as if the product was already used and put back. The protective foam(?) wrapper was partly opened. It just feels like an open box item or someone had opened the item and examined or used it. Or perhaps the product was shaken in the store, dropped or shuffled around and the tablet rolled in the box? PRO's: The size and screen display is nice, more in-depth and richer colors. Upgraded processors and a higher class of RAM than my last tablet. I mainly use the tablet to read books, play a few mobile games, handles YouTube videos okay, write notes/pages. The sound is a little funky though but it is a tablet so you get what is fittable. Connects to current and older Bluetooth headphones, which is a plus for me as some newer players I bought will not. I liked the color, not flat black but a slightly shiny with a very slight bluish hue. CON's: Could use better speakers. No physical home button. I preferred this for when reading in the dark as it gave me a location to avoid the Back or Multi-Window. Type USB-C charger. This is the first product I have with a Type-C so it can only be charged in one spot. Type-C Charger cord. This cord is short at just over 2 feet. The last charger cable I got with a tablet was almost 6 feet long. Annoying to transfer all data, apps, app data, passwords, written notes, calendar. Harder to sign in when the tablet is locked without a physical home button. My fingers do not always register as touching the device (thick skin) so a stylus is a must. Again, must say I feel like I bought a USED product. I would have exchanged it but it was past the 14 days when I opened the product, bought 06/21 opened 08/05. I had put it on a shelf because more important things came up and I couldn't afford to mess up the data on the older tablet during a transfer. I should have checked the packaging tape before purchasing it because after being shelved for so long I am unsure of if I was the first to open it. If the tablet was pristine when I opened the box I would give this a solid 4 stars. Needs a physical home button, return to the older charger port or come with a longer official cable.
