Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Galaxy Tab A's ease of use, screen size, and battery life. Many also appreciate its price and find the performance adequate for their needs. While some users wish for improved camera quality and more memory, the positive feedback on usability and value outweighs these concerns. The tablet's lightweight design is also frequently praised.

SLOW doesn't win the race
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Tablet is SLOW once you put a few apps on it. I gave it average because compared to other similar tablets it performs ok, but not by much. I intend on getting the iPad mini because I want an 8" tablet that actually works.

Wrong description
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The description does not state it is a kid version and it does not have cast or screen mirroring. I got it for Christmas to use my Bible and Kobo Reader app and i hesitated to return it, kept changing my mind. I missed the return date.

Used for nursing school- Not a fan
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Eh. I was forced to get an 8 inch tablet for 1 year of nursing school while working in the hospital. My 3 options were between this, the new iPad mini $400, and the Amazon Fire Tablet. I immediately crossed off the Amazon tablet as I heard students had connection issues with the app store and apps we needed. So it was between a crazy expensive iPad and this. For what I use it for (1-2 hours each week) it's fine I guess, but the thing is aggravating. I dropped it once with a case on it and sure enough the glass cracked. The device in general is slow to work. If there had been a decent sale on the iPad I would have surely gotten it. I do not recommend

Meh, bad touch sensitivity
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Touch sensitivity is very shotty. Have to touch just right and in just the right spots or you're tapping for 5 minutes before it registers. Good for kids maybe or when on a deal for just scrolling through social media and reading.

OK tablet
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK tablet. The resolution is the big problem. 1280x800. I am used to 1080P. When serving web, it is laggy. When watch YouTube via APP, it is ok. Because resolution is low, u need to get used to big font / pixels

Mrs
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second one I have ordered this year. No problem with the first one. This one turns off as soon as I turn it on. Not all of the time just once in awhile. Also when playing games the screen freezes and I have to restart.

The replacement tablet also defective
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first Tab A 8" (2019) setup screen was almost pitch black, WiFi was unreliable, constantly going from 30Mbps down/10-12Mbps up. Then it would very often go to 1Mbps down/512Kbps up. Both tablets also freeze often while watching a YouTube video, or playing a simple 2d game app with no other open apps. Samsung has also taken away the ability to move apps to the SD card. Samsung, or any tech site reviews made this known. I would never have purchased this tablet if I knew you couldn't move apps to the SD card. I enabled moving apps to the SD card in Developer mode; it didn't work.

Very Disappointed With Screen Capability
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very disappointed in this Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019) 8" SM-T290 tablet! I have 6 other Samsung tablets including 3 Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019) 10.1" SM-T510 tablets that work great. The SM-290 must have a different processor or firmware or something because it is not possible to view apps like The Weather Channel radar in a horizontal mode. The app begins to launch in horizontal mode then instantly flips to vertical mode. In addition, it is a nightmare to try to show icons for many apps on the homepage. I have tried everything that I can think of regarding rotation of the display with no success. Plus there is no native command like the Smart Stay setting with the SM-T510 tablets that keeps the screen alive and not go to sleep.

Tablet good BB not so much
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tablet is fine - review of Best Buy purchase experience not so much. Ordered tablet on line. Specifically ordered for wi-fi and cellular. Picked up the box and did not pay attention. Transferred info from old tablet - easy process - took to cell provider to transfer service - no go - device not cell compatible. Went back to BB. Cust Serv said yes you did order wifi and cell and yes they sent the wrong one and by the way we don't have any more of these that are cell capable and we will only give $30 less than you paid (went on sale that day). said no thank and kept the wifi only device. Not real pleased with BB.

You get what you pay for....
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty slow, but what was I expecting for the price? The touch screen could be more reactive, but the size is convenient, and it gave me perspective for my next purchase.

Not worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within a month of purchasing 10 tablets, they started to freeze. Others wouldn't even turn on. It was past the allowed return date so we were unable to return them.
