I bought these years ago when they first came out for my twins & they loved them. They lasted for years.

I just ordered this last night, and it won't be here until Wednesday. But I have to say that I'm very encouraged about my purchase after reading all of the majority positive reviews. I don't require much. We have computers and tablets and smartphones in every room we inhabit. My wife is very invested in the Apple ecosystem while I am not (although I own a Mac for a very specific purpose). I don't like their "planned obsolescence" business model. If I'm plunking down $1500 for an iPad, I expect support for the device to last a lot longer than 3 years. ...And no, I'm *not* buying another one. I've already bought two for myself and three for my wife. Samsung seems to have nailed the possibilities of the Android system. I recently purchased a Galaxy Note S20 Ultra and I daresay that it can hold its own with the best of the smartphones, if not exceed them...including any phone by Apple. The S20 Ultra can do everything except make me a sandwich. So it made absolutely perfect sense to invest in a Galaxy Tablet, especially at this price point. Under $100?!? SOLD!!! Performance-wise, my expectations aren't that high. I intend to perch it on my kitchen counter so that I can pull up recipes without having to go downstairs to the PC to write measurements down and then back upstairs to the kitchen. That's all. I don't require a workhorse for that. Your mileage may vary. I may also use it for GPS when we're allowed to travel again. Beyond that, I have plenty of devices around that are capable of YouTube or music and whatnot. I don't need it for that. And if you're relying on a -$100 tablet to deliver iPad results, words fail me. That said, I summarily dismiss all of the negative reviews in terms of that for which I need this device. It's unrealistic to expect a -$100 tablet to behave like a $1500 iPad. I'm giving it a 5, and it won't arrive until Wednesday.

I bought this tab about a month or so ago for the sole purpose of playing Xbox game pass. For being a budget tablet it works great. Just make sure you have a good WiFi connection and you will be surprised... I was. The screen resolution is perfect. Overall this tab is good and I played Gears 5 and it played it fine. For the money it's worth it.

Has worked well for me. I like the USB C charging. No problems with operation. As with any tablet/computer, check the specs carefully before buying.....don't complain if you buy a tablet that has screen resolution lower than what you want or lacks some other features that are not part of the design.

I never thought an 8" tablet would be a good thing to have- too small, too cramped of a screen size, poor display. BUT, this Samsung Tab A is very good in all of those ways. First off, the display is very good. Close to Amoled! I watched the movie "Maverick" in 4k on YouTube and it was great! The colors and definition were much better than adequate. I can judge good sound, and the 2 speakers on the edge of this tablet produce good quality and clarity and high enough volume anyone could want. With earbuds, this tablet is a pleasure to use! I bought the portfolio case for it for protection and to have a tilted viewing angle. Pairing to the Skullcandy buds was a pain, but finally worked. Went smoothly tho in pairing to my Note9. Since Google is now backing up to the Microsoft cloud, the transfer of photos took some time, but the 1st system updates were smooth and quick. I couldn't be more pleased with this tablet.

Love it! Tablet arrived 3 days early, despite coronavirus. Greater touchscreen and cameras, and it played Fortnite real good! I recommend this tablet to people who want either a beginner tablet or budget tablet!

I’ve had this tablet for 2 months now and I love it! I needed a tablet after my son dropped my iPad in the tub. Eek!! I love the size of this tablet. I was able to find a cute case for it as well.

I bought the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 a couple of weeks ago. I like how sleek the design is. The response time is good as well as how updated the software is. It does offer expandable memory and depending on where you buy the tablet from........It'll offer a free SD Card The only 2 downsides to this tablet are that Its a sleek tablet which means that it will slip out of your hands when not handled properly. The other issue is that its easy to get fingerprints on it. I bought a screen protector and a Spigen case for it. I watch on-demand shows and streaming apps like Hulu and NetFlix and it works like a charm. Playing games like The Simpsons and Angry Birds run smoothly If you're looking for a tablet but on a budget, this is the right one for you.

Great start for a first tablet a must get it for starters

Spend more, get more. This tablet has been a piece of junk. The camera has never worked, it's slow, and half the time the screen touch just doesn't feel anything. I got a cheapo thinking all I needed was a place to read books on Kindle, however, it appears I was delusional in that thinking. If you have a tablet you need it for more stuff even if you just spent $1300 on a phone. SO, I'm shopping today I can afford a $300 tablet I just wish I'd spent that in the first place instead of wasting the $100 I spent on this tablet at the AT&T store.

Im very happy with it. It works smoothly, setting up was quick, and looks great. Good price, too. I should've grabbed a case cover at the same time but picked one up soon after purchasing. Thank you!

Is good this tablet, i wait for shipping 3 weeks, they charge my card but i have to call severals times and finaly they send the tablet, was really a good price so i cant complain.

This tablet is simple and easy, but very, VERY limited. Screen resolution is washed out, pale and almost pixelated. Processor bogs down badly on all but the simplest applications. Wi-Fi is also limited to basic link rate (we handed gigabyte internet, but this tablet maxed out at 150 GB download rate). Samsung site claims "Compact metal design," but all the metal must be internal, because the exterior is light, cheap plastic. Frustrated that Samsung no longer creates a high-quality, useful 8" tablet. If you want an effective Samsung tablet, you have to spend at least $500 and deal with the bulk of a full-sized model.
