A great mid-range tablet at a great price. I really enjoyed it for over a year before the wifi started giving me problems. I can stream audio, browse Facebook and check email just fine. Eventually it became extremely sluggish for streaming videos to the point of being unwatchable. It degenerated to the point of being useless for Youtube, Netflix, Facebook and browser-embedded videos. I tried everything possible to correct the issue (settings, router settings, clear cache, stop running background apps, factory reset... you name it). I even purchased a new, stronger wireless router, all to no avail. I encourgae anyone considering purchasing this device to research carefully online. I can find no mention of the wifi issue in any current professional review--probably because the wifi problem doesn't rear it's ugly head until months (or years) down the road. Have a look at help forums for this device and there is no shortage of user issues with all manner of wifi issues. I just tossed mine and am back in the tablet market.

It's a great tablet for anyone .Easy to use to play games . I love reading books .it's great for that too.

Purchased this to use as a controller for all the wifi enabled devices in the home - security system, Sonos, Hue, TV, BluRay Player etc. Got it home and loaded all the apps - worked fine until Samsung/Google started pushing O/S updates. Now I have a bunch of Google/Samsung aps on it that I'll never use and had to remove most of my apps because it ran out of memory. Only one of my Apps allowed itself to be moved to the SD card. It has the power to do what I want - but with the bloatware forced on you it needs more built in RAM. Hopefully somebody will release a small tablet that can be used as a dedicated controller for the connected home and runs a bloat free version of Android. And Best Buy Samsung expert (2 of them) assured me this would update to 6.x - After 4 weeks it hadn't so I talked to Samsung support and found 6.x is not and will not be supported on this device.

The best tablet for a cheap price. The resolution for videos is awesome. Just enough size to carry anywhere.

Purchased so i dont run the battery down my my phone. Long battery life, good design. Would buy again

For a samsung tablet - this tablet was cheap, and not up to their usual quality. It's unfortunate, but this tablet and cover were returned within a week for how cheap they felt.

This tablet is very good for on the go work specially it fits in your pocket

I've had this tablet for less than a year and I absolutely without a doubt HATE this tablet with a passion greater than anything in this world. It lags. I can handle somewhat of a slow device but when this crap tablet is slower than grass growing, I've got a problem. It's says 8gb of memory, LIESSSSS!!!! It's actually about 3 or 4gb of memory because of all the "necessary" apps they've put in it like Hangout app and kids radio app. And you can't get rid of them either. It only allowed me to have 4 apps I WANTED on it. 1.Facebook 2.Facebook messenger 3.Pinterest 4.Youtube Those are it. Nothing big, nothing fancy....but yet I only have a tiny sliver of memory left. I Can't use a memory card because "it's not compatible" according to the person I spoke to when I went to best buy to see if I could expand the memory. So please please please please please please PLEASE do yourself a favor and get something else. I never knew samsung could make something so crappy.

Really love this tablet small and easy to store in a carryon bag

First off, I don't know who's writing the positive reviews of this tablet. This thing is SLOW. The only positive thing this has going for it, is the screen is pretty nice. It ends there. It only has a 2.4ghz wifi radio, which limits the network speeds tremendously (especially given the age we live in with +200mbs internet speeds in city areas). The battery is wonky - new out of the box, it read %55. 8 hours of charging, it still reads %55. If you load an app... not 2 or three... but even one, it's noticeably slower that it already is without anything loaded on it. I downloaded geekbench to test this, and comparing the score it gave my tablet compared to other posted scores of other devices, the iPhone 5s outperforms the Tab A tablet... The iPhone 5s was released 5 years ago, 3 years before the Tab A. It's running Android Lollipop 5.1.1, which was released 2 years before the Tab A was even released, and YOU CAN NOT UPGRADE. Android has had 3 major releases since then. This is like buying a brand new PC with XP installed with no option to upgrade. Seriously, don't buy this thing. You'll just end up taking it back like I'm going to do tomorrow.

Shouldn'the buy the 8 gig because you will only have about 2 gigs of space on memory and you can't install apps to sd card

Meh, it is only ok. In the age of phablets there really is no need for this though. It isn't large enough to justify, and any smaller and its the size of a non +/ultra/max or whatever they may call it phone.

Apparently the processor and RAM are too slow for drone flying and I couldn't get a video feed using DJI Go4. Otherwise it's a good inexpensive tablet for other everyday uses.

My kid saved and spent his own $ on this. I wanted to be sure that he had enough storage, so liked the expandable SD slot. Unfortunately this has Lollipop and you must have Marshmellow to use expanded as standard, so the extra storage is fairly useless. No upgrade to 6.0 in sight from Samsung. Disappointing. Need to really do your research on these devices - that one was kind of a gotcha.
