Couldn't be happier with this tablet! I bought it for my mom:))!

Purchased a Samsung Galaxy Mini a little over 2 years ago. I did not use it that often but started having problems with it shutting down even though it showed it had plenty of charge after 20 months. Took it in to Samsung people at Best Buy a couple of times. They tried some things but couldn't fix it. Problem kept getting worse until tablet wouldn't work even when plugged in. Called Samsung and they told me to take it into the the Geek Squad since the battery cannot be replaced by me. Found out today the cost of replacing the battery was as much as purchasing a new tablet. Lousy design. Don't buy this product unless you expect to purchase a new one every 2-3 years. I switching to Apple!

It has good touch. The product is really nice. I really liked it.

Really Samsung, the Nook version of this tablet has gotten a newer version of Android but not this one. This is why many people I know don't get androids any more.

WARNING!! This device is outdated. It is a 2016 model which comes with Android 5.1.1 (lollipop) and can not be updated (current version 9.0 - Pie). As a result there are a number of apps that this tablet will NOT run, i.e. Amazon Alexa. Do not buy without knowing this restrictions.

Purchased for school. Works great for all grade levels.

Currently the device is running Android lollipop which means you cannot make the SD card into internal storage but then I heard it should be getting a marshmallow update soon which in a normal device would enable you to use the SD card as internal storage but it turns out for Samsung devices it is really hard to make that work and I am unable to do it so I will be returning this device in disgust.

I usually review Samsung very highly, but I cannot for this one. I went into the store after having read online that it had extra storage capacity, android marshmallow updatable, it had really nice processing speed, and functioned well. Well... 1/4. It has extra storage capacity. It does not function well, and it's very slow both booting and loading. Most of the time when I boot it, it goes to a blank black lock screen that I can't do anything with... so I leave it sitting for 5-10 minutes. Sometimes the screen goes away, sometimes it doesn't. It actually had a system update ready for me when I booted it, but it wasn't marshmallow, it was actually just the latest lollipop system update. I will definitely be exchanging this for a better model. Buying this one was a waste of time.

I bought this tablet after having a Second generation Google nexus for quite some time. I got a great deal at best buy. I got it home it has 1 speaker? Seriously, are you kidding me? Today's technology and development I get 1 speaker. Like am radio all over again. Then I was excited about being able to mount all apps etc to SD card fat chance on that. The worste is you have to sign in to WiFi almost every time you sign on....frustrating. I know the kindle HD has great dolby sound quality for allot less money. I have had great success with Samsung phones but this is the worste tablet and quite frankly my last. Samsung you have cured me!

Android version is from 2016 with no further updates. Alot of apps and functions will not run on this OBSOLETE version. Tablet is very slow and laggy operation ,I don't even know why they still sell these. So many better options than this one.

When it comes to tablets, I typically use an iPad but I wanted something that was small and inexpensive to use for ebook reading and web browsing. I get that this is a budget tablet but, man, this thing is junk. The screen is horrible, it's painfully slow to do just about anything, and the UI seemed buggy. I ended up returning this and buying the Kindle Fire HD 8 which has turned out to be a WAY better tablet for less money. The Fire is faster and the screen seems much better - especially when viewing from a side angle or reading at night. Overall, I'd say skip this if you're looking for a budget tablet.

The is an o k tablet. The sound is not as strong as it should be.

Got this tablet for the price its a beginners tablet

The tablet was good for the money at first but died a little after a year. It will not charge beyond 13% and won't even hold that charge. I would not recommend this tablet. Save some extra money and get something better.

I bought the first unit from best buy and the video graphics were terrible. Every time a video played the screen would flicker a white screen and dropped frames from the video. The unit also started having trouble keeping a wifi connection--every ten seconds the wifi connection stopped and then turned back on again. I returned the first unit for a second unit hoping maybe I just got a bad one. NOPE. Second unit doesn't have sound and has the same video graphics issue as well. Im returning this second unit and will wait until Smasung gets it together. I think their is something wrong with this first batch of new shipments. (This is a new tablet model)

Such a surprise that this tablet is really bad from Samsung. I have the 9.7" Galaxy Tab A and this newer 2016 edition is so awful compared to it. This tablet after being updated to the latest software release from samsung cannot maintain a wireless connection. The icon will show that it is connected to the wifi, but no traffic passes. The only way to fix this is to turn of and back on the wifi setting. This is unacceptable! The screen response is slow/poor to touches/gestures. Given the price point I would recommend a amazon fire tablet instead of this one.

This tablet is slow, no question. The touch recognition is very slow, and you have to press hard to get the keyboard to work. The camera is alright. Samsung has taken a tablet with good specs and turned it into a paperweight with their bulky Android overlay. I bought this 4 months ago, since then I have added a micro SD for more space, and then gave it to my eight-year-old. He doesn't use it because his 2 year old Fire tablet is far better than this smoldering pile that Samsung sells.

I bought this tablet for my mom for this last Christmas and it has already died. The screen started flickering and it would completely shut down. The battery won't charge when it's plugged in and in fact losses battery as it's plugged in. Now she can't even get it to turn on. A tablet should work more than 7 months...very disappointed to already have issues with it.
