Bought this as a gift for someone that is somewhat technically challenged. Its been a excellent choice. Simple easy to use. Compared to Android phones but without the calling feature. It does have little internal memory 8Gb, but solved this buy adding external memory card. Also came in a Best Buy Edition which was silver in color and cheaper price, a plus. Nice everyday tablet for the price.

I've had rca and nexus tablets before and was nervous to purchase this one. But I'm glad I did. I needed it for the kids to have learning apps on it and they have loved it. It was a good price too.

bought this solely for use as a RC controller/monitor. Only slightly larger than a smartphone. it runs the RC app very well. It will "auto-link" whenever I plug in the hardwire vs using wifi. The only negative is the glare in bright sunlight (could be the screen protector). I did try another brand and it was 3 to 4 seconds behind in processing, the Samsung is a big improvement.

Able to load all my streaming apps. Nice screen resolution and color for small tablet. Sustains battery charge for a good while. Like that I can use standard Android charger and cable from my phone with it. Small enough to keep in case or backpack and be able to have instant WiFi (when signal is available).

Light weight, perfect size to fit in my purse. Easy to use. Easy setup. Camera is great. I love Samsung products.

I picked it up for the portability and processing speed. Comes with some nice apps, it comes with only 8g of memory, so you will want to purchase additional memory. It's a great size for use on traveling - fits in the coat/suit jacket pockets which frees up your hands to carry your luggage. Then on the plane, it is a good size for reading or catching that movie you wanted to watch.

I first purchased a Samsung Galaxy TAB A - 7" and exchanged it for the larger Samsung Galaxy TAB A - 8". The Samsung tablet is very easy to use and I was able to load all my favorite sites. It syncs my pictures, contacts, calendar, emails with my Samsung Note 4 phone. I recently used it to travel with and able to get free live TV with Southwest Airlines where as my sister's Amazon Fire wasn't able to. Can't go wrong with a Samsung Tablet. You won't be disappointed!!

Not a high-end tablet. Limited internal storage space. Although it can expend its size by an SD card, some apps cannot be moved to the SD card.

I bought this tablet for my birthday,(my first) just something to use to view my email, but it's great for so much more...I listen to my music, streaming tv, and FaceTime with my fiance, the camera is good too. This will be a good idea for someone who wants a light weight tablet, and only use for...simple usage and great for the little tykes!

Got this tablet to gauge if I wanted a tablet as an e-reader over a Kindle, but still get full access to Play Store for games, too. The tablet is a great size and feels nice in hand. The back of the one I got, however, felt a bit sticky to grip, so not sure if that was by design or because it was an open box; a bit odd if by design, as it felt like you were putting your palm on and peeling from tape a little bit. Also, the Wifi had some major issues at first. For the first few DAYS, I was getting absolute horrendous speeds, in the 1 Mbps to 5 Mbps, where my Galaxy S7 and even older devices get nearly 18 times faster. It must have been something off, because after a bit it stayed more stable at about 25-30 Mbps which is still slow for me, but for the price makes sense and is still usable. I thought the 1280 x 800 resolution would bother me, but in reading a book on the Play Books app or playing some games, it wasn't a bad looker. It did run quite slow in playing Hearthstone, however. I did return this device to get the Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 which is only $50 when comparing SRP, and the resolution and performance both in games and on Wifi made it worth upgrading. But I imagine this price point is for casual use, which I believe for most users this will facilitate their needs more than fine, so I'll give it a recommendation to those people and friends.

It’s a good tablet for the price. If you don’t care about storage size or the internals, then this will do fine. It has access to the Google Play Store so there’s plenty of apps to use.

My 10 yr old son bought this to replace a 10 inch tablet that no longer worked. He actually prefers the smaller screen as it is easier to hold and less cumbersome to bring on trips. Last purchase we had went with a cheaper (and cheaper quality) for a bigger tablet and this time going with better quality and smaller size was definitely worth it! It is very user friendly and does everything we need it to do. I would definitely buy this again!

I purchased two of these tablets, one for each of my girls. They are decently fast enough to handle their game downloads from the Play store. They do gliche, however, without a memory card. This is understandable, though. My wife has a Tab E and I have a Tab A. Both of which have been excellent products from the day we purchased them.

Small tablet size, makes it light and ease to travel with. It has great speed. Works fine for everyday use.

this tablet is awesome for the price! works great and has acess to all the apps you might need and expandable memory...if youre looking for a cheap but reliable tablet this is it!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7" 8GB-Black is a very user friendly tablet. I purchased it for my mother-in-law and she absolutely loves it!

Great tablet for price! Can be used for multitude of things, including serious business things. But also for just paying around on. I got it for my mother who mainly used it to play games on when she is bored but all the cheaper tablets just crash where as this one has been doing perfectly fine! Great for kids &adults. YouTube and watching videos goes smoothly as well! Like a big phone lol

This Tablet was a good purchase. However, the microphone sounds a little crappy. It's only 8gb, even installing 32gb SD card it still finds a way to use up internal memory. Some apps can't be stored on SD card (sucks). Best Buy just refunded me $10 (price match guarantee) which was cool. After putting about 20 music playlist, 75 pictures and 10 apps on sd card, I have about 1gb left of internal storage, you have to use "Smart Manager" app to clean up to keep as much storage as possible free. The screen brightness is good, works well. I really like this tablet despite cons.
