This tablet has a great quality also works great with my DJI mavic Pro she is 32 gb crystal clear image also a lot of space for download games

This is a solid tablet that was a bargain at $149.99 and only has a few niggling issues that keep me from giving a 5 start rating. 1. The operating system hasn't had any new security patches since November 2018. 2. It came with Android 8 (Oreo) preinstalled and since there hasn't been any updates since last year, I doubt that it'll get the current version of Android 9 (Pie). 3. The buttons at the bottom of the tablet aren't backlit, and while I find this annoying, it's not a deal breaker. The screen is sharp and bright. Battery life is excellent. I don't like the Samsung Experience launcher, but you can replace it with any number of apps on Google Play. I use Nova Launcher myself, but there are other choices. All in all, a solid buy and recommended if you can live with the issues I've mentioned.

A quick buy for a trip, we didn't want to spend much. Being accustomed to Samsung cells pushed us towards the Tab A 8. Good choice because using the Tab A 8 required very little learning. It is so much like using the Galaxy S 7 cell... but with a nice big screen. It's main drawback is that it is only for wifi use. Being connected to a phone company would be nice.

Very nice tablet, great size and the picture is very clear.. runs very fast on WiFi at the house.. Love it!!

My daughter loves her tablet she doesnt want to put it down. It has great features like the split screen option. The battery life is great also i will purchase again.

This tablet just what I needed,good battery life..

This tablet arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It models my Note 8 so there was no learning curve. I use it to fly my DJI drone and it connects to the internet via my phone. Perfect for me.

The tablet will work perfectly. Then randomly it will stop working. It will be stuck on the start screen. You can’t unlock the tablet at all. I googled the issue after the first time it happened. You have to leave the flashlight on until it dies. Then charge it completely and it will work. It is ridiculous and happens far too often. I loved my tablet before it started doing this.

I bought it in hopes to get a nice tablet for myself and my son at a reasonable price and thought that it being "The Latest Model" it would support my games that I play. But when testing the unit it would freeze up my games. For example when trying to play Transformers Earth Wars it would just freeze up and not even load the game. Clash of Clans would glitch out after 30 minutes of game play. It does not support Marvel Contest of Champions which is the game we play the most. So even though it was a nice tablet, it is not designed to play a lot of games. Which is a bummer because the Tablet A 10.1 does.

This Samsung tablet is great to use as a reader - feels just like a real book!

It would be even better if it came with 64 or 128 GB!

I have purchased Samsung - Galaxy Tab A 8.0" after much of research, looking for 8" tablet with a "narrow" form factor, expandable memory, good graphics, fast processor and reasonable price. This table fits the bill perfectly. After several weeks, it works great, I haven't encountered any issues. I added 128 Mb memory card to store my eBooks and pictures. Wi-Fi works very well, processing speed is excellent, graphics are good. Camera could be better, but is fairly good for the price for both taking pictures, making casual video clips and for using Skype. Most of the apps that I wanted to install from the Google store work as intended (I had to do some tweaking configuring them, but nothing really too complicated). A couple of apps unfortunately are not optimized for this version of Android, but this is more of a nuisance for me than a deal breaker - I could find alternative apps that work as well. The most important functions - e-mail, calendar, eBook readers (I have three of them installed), Chrome, and note taking (I use Samsung app which came with the tablet, and love it) work very well. Overall, I have a compact size, lightweight tablet, with good performance and high quality graphics (and not so high quality sound) for a much lower price than higher end tablets of comparable screen size. Very pleased with the purchase.

My prior Android was a 7" DigiLand. It worked well enough to test the Android app I was developing, but after a couple years it started getting very slow because it was starving for RAM. Every time I switched between apps I had to wait for the app to reload. So I decided to look for something better with more RAM. I'm very pleased with the Galaxy Tab A. When I demonstrate my Android app to someone, the 8" is much easier for them to see than a 7". I can continuously switch between several apps without them having to reload. The speed to download and updates apps is also impressive. I'm very glad I got the 32GB storage. But what impresses me the most is the Tab A's battery management. I don't usually carry the Tab A with me, so some days it sleeps most of the day. Even with WIFI left turned on, my battery drops only about 3% in 24 hours. I sometimes use it to read during the night, and because I keep the brightness very low, that uses only a little more of the battery. If I used it all day long it obviously would consume more of the battery, but with limited usage, the battery is about 50% after a week and a half, at which time I charge it. The bottom line is that unless you're using it heavily, you don't have to be concerned about letting it sleep for a few days and then picking it and the battery being almost dead. My only complaint is very minor and superficial. I have a hard time seeing the icons of the soft buttons to the left and right of the center button when it's dark in the room. I just need to practice where they are located relative to the center button while the lights are on!
