The device DOESN'T find/connect to all Wifi networks when travelling internationally. Purchased this device specifically as a compact and light device for travel but found it very frustrating when arriving to certain places with free wifi and this device wouldn't find the network (while my samsung phone did). It seems that it is specifically configured for a purely american market and so cannot see Wifi networks using channels 12 and 13 (allowed outside the US).

Where should I start. Having a Galaxy Tab S2 and being extremely happy with it, I had high expectations with the A 8.0" that I bought for my daughter. Sadly things turned sour from the get go. So I signed up using my wife's gmail account and what it does is that it makes a replica of her smartphone. Maybe I should have skip that part. Anyways, everything installed on her phone pretty much got installed in the tablet. I uninstalled several apps afterwards. I also put a 32 GB sd card since my daughter download lots of games. Then, when I moved several apps into the SD card, somehow it shows them empty when you first start the tablet. But then shows them back minutes later. Didn't get that one. And now the main issue. The tablet would FREEZE every time you open up an app. Even the camera would freeze over and over. I did the updates and still kept freezing. A total let down to say the least. With that said, I will return it soon.

I was extremely disappointed when I got this. I did not even think that this would not have an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness, come on Samsung, you dropped the ball big time here. Tablets that cost less than this have an ambient light sensor. I could have lived with the ancient navigation buttons on the bottom if I had the ambient light sensor. However both of those negatives combined, I am returning. For this price, ambient light sensor needs to be included. Everything else on the tablet is really good but not enough to get me to keep it. Samsung, the tablets need to have an ambient light sensory and get rid of the ancient physical navigation buttons on the bottom and switch to the on screen buttons like the Galaxy S8 and S9.

Description lists product as latest model - so i ordered 2018 accessories. Turns out this tablet is from 2017 and the accessories i ordered and opened do not fit. Thanks a lot for the fraudulent description. Another reviewer had same issuer two months ago apparently - product description is still the same.

I've had 3 of the tablets over the last 2 years. All bought at the same time. All 3 just stop working. Black screen won't turn back on. Just sitting here watching a video and the last one died. Will never buy another Samsung tablet. Waste of money.

My 3 year old Samsung tablet is faster and has graphics that blow this one away. One day and it was taken back to the store. If you want a play toy, buy this. If you want a tablet that you can actually use, spend the extra money on the S2..
