It was time for a new tablet, My last Samsung Note was about 3 1/2 years old and the battery was not lasting. I knew that I was going to by a Samsung over an I pad because they are just that much better. After debating and reading and thinking, I settled on this one and it has been a great choice.

This is a great tablet. Very big screen, very nice display. Easy to use if you are familiar with android.

I bought this for my son for Christmas.He intends to use it as a hybrid laptop with a Bluetooth keyboard.

Samsung Galaxy A gets an A for everything awesome tablet, fast I don't think I would buy another Ipad again

Bought it for my kids they love it,takes great pics,great for looking up info they are delighted with it.

Samsung's tab a tablet was a great purchase. It runs smoothly and the battery lasts a long time between charges. I like having a larger screen yet it isn't as big as a laptop which weighs more and wouldn't be as portable. I have been pleased with everything about it and it is easy to use.

Just the right speed, resolution and memory for my needs. Wanting higher resolution--go with the TabS2.

Easier than carrying a laptop around. Performs well does most everything a laptop does.

I travel quite frequently and this tablet allows me to stay in touch and play for hours without battery loss. I loaded Windows Office, so I can continue working while traveling as well. Storage isn't great, but there is capability for adding some. Fast and dependable!

Needed something bigger than a phone to mess around with and play games on. This fit the bill perfectly.

Seems like an odd size, 9.7 when other Samsung 10.1 devices are cheaper. Yet this tablet is a rock. It has a wonderful screen and fits better in my hands than a 10.1.

The speed, size, and ease of use of the tablet is perfect for non tech guys like me.

This is an easy tablet to use. We also purchased a keyboard for it and she loves that feature. She uses it for many things from watching movies to writing poems.

I expanded the storage with a 128GB HDSD card that came free with a special offer, and I moved all apps that could be moved to external storage. Developers are, unfortunately, learning to block this option, so many apps remain on the internal storage. Apps run fairly smoothly for someone who checks a single email account and social media, sets appointments with the standard calendar and reads up on the latest news. I am admittedly someone who pushes both hardware and software to their limits. With active widgets and syncing of a few apps to either cloud storage or news media, I get regular messages that the memory is over 80% and I have to "boost" it in order to keep it from running slow or getting messages that an app has stopped working. I also purchased a folio with Bluetooth keyboard, and I find this works very well with this tablet. While working on my writing, this tablet is great as I'm not multitasking. It also has a very clear display for TV and movie streaming and doesn't buffer on my 5G WiFi. My biggest complaint is the battery. I am almost always anchored to my charger as it drains so rapidly. Even with the tablet powered off and using a fast charger, it takes hours to fully charge, yet it can drain in only one. For a casual user, this is a great buy. For someone looking for on-the-go productivity, I'd likely look at laptops if you can afford one.

I've had this tablet for 3 years and have never had a problem with it. I use it for work and travel and love that it already had Word installed. This was far less expensive than other tablets I priced and yet it does everything I could possibly want it to do!
