The screen is broken, but the tablet still works. I bought him a new, larger, more expensive one. He still used the broken one, until I broke down and bought him a new Galsaxy Tab A7 Lite.

I ended up dropping some mobile games (pianos and puzzles) and they all work well. Visuals are crisp and audio is good. I'm still getting used to the controls (using a back button instead of swiping) but overall I'm very happy!
