Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite's screen size, ease of use, battery life, and price. Many also appreciate its ample storage, lightweight design, and sufficient memory. While some users noted performance limitations when multitasking, and the camera quality could be improved, the positive feedback on other features outweighs these concerns. Overall, the tablet is considered a good value for its price point.

Samsung's latest entry into the 8 inch class of tablets is unfortunately a bit short. This not a terrible tablet, but it is a low budget tablet. Initial price is too high. This tablet looks good on paper has 64GB ROM, 4GB of Ram, but the GPU performs poorly and the screen shutters from page to page, The screen refresh rate is poor. The wifi says its dual band and fast but did not perform well. The display is just OK. It does not have screen sleep when cover is closed. It cannot vibrate, and has no fingerprint sensor. This tablet will not do well with games. It does have a good battery, fast charging and USB C. It also has Android 11. It barely functions as a reader. With just a little more effort from Samsung and this could have been a decent successor to the TAB S2.

Not the greatest tablet, but not the worst. It's a good size for e-reading or light streaming which is the main reason i bought it. Battery lasts all day and is comfy to hold one handed. All in all, a good low budget tablet if you're looking to buy one :)

This was a Christmas present for my son. His old tablet was 7 years old, easy to say he was having issues with it. So far he is absolutely loving the new tablet. it is allowing him to use apps and games the old tablet would not allow. Storage check. speed check. hopefully many years of use from this tablet just like the old Samsung it is replacing.

Great value. The 8.7" and light weight size is perfect for travel and for use anywhere. I love the ability to get and receive phone calls in addition to texts. Earphone jack is also appreciated. Nice full screen and great graphics.

This is an OK tablet. The screen is big and bright and the OS is easy to use, but the performance is pretty slow given the amount of memory (e.g. scrolling is jerky, Web pages are slow to load compared to my phone, etc). For my purposes (mainly reading), this is OK, but would be unacceptable if this was my main device for working on the Internet

This tablet boots up fast upon startup

I previously had a Samsung Galaxy tablet that was outrageously slow to boot up and be useful after first being turned on (prior tablet was a Tab A 8.0 tablet - a different model than this purchase). I wanted a better/faster Android tablet that was still in the 8" size range but unfortunately there aren't that many options in a smaller Android tablet. I debated for months and months and finally settled on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 8.7 Lite -- it was a GREAT decision. I was able to transfer my apps seamlessly through Samsung Smart Switch and, best of all, when I turn on the Tab A7 8.7 Lite I can IMMEDIATELY get out to the internet and my apps. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 8.7 Lite is a great tablet and was less expensive than the prior Tab A 8.0 tablet. I am very happy with this purchase.

This tablet has plenty of storage at 64 GB. The images are crystal clear and plays videos without buffering or shut-downs. This A7 tablet is a good size and can easily be taken anywhere. There are lost of games on Google Play to download for free and you can read lots of novels with the Kindle reader app. The price is great.

Excellent for my kid, enough memory for her games, and ram to play them. Kids games I mean, not CoD or anything like it, although I think it might run ok on this tablet. Picture quality is good , speed also ok.

We have been using Samsung Galaxy tablets for years! I originally got one to use with a projector so we can watch movies outside, but quicky realized all the fun you can have with them(you can not stream movies from your lite tablet to a projector using a dongle. You need a regular tablet for this purpose). I actually use this to take pictures on vacation, because of the superior quality of the photos. Do I look weird taking pictures with a tablet instead of a phone or camera? Yes. Do I care? Not when I have the ability to capture, edit and upload professionals style photos all from one device in minutes. The kids like to play games on it and watch movies during road trips. I love downloading my audio books to it and having the sound reach the whole car or room if we are at home.

    Tab A7 vs Tab S5e

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

As a main tablet I hava Samsung Tab S5e . So if we compare these two tablets S5e wins in display quality and also has much better AKG sound. But Tab A7 Lite has so small weight and long battery life that it will be a difficult decision which tablet I will leave for me .

I've had 2 Fire tablets and had nothing but problems. I saw some reviews citing poor picture quality on this item. It is great if all you're looking for is a simple tablet for surfing or reading. No problems with Kindle. Probably not the best if you're into gaming. The $10 extra is well worth it.

64 GB is the way to go, excellent tablet. I originally bought the 32 GB A7 lite 8.7" which worked Ok but seemed a little sluggish when surfing the net. They ran a sale on the 64 GB for only $20.00 more so I made the swap and glad I did it. 64 GB seems much faster for what ever the reason. This tablet does everything you need for everyday web surfing, business and more. Battery life is excellent, for me 4 hrs a day using the tablet non stop and only use 40% of the battery. For the price you cant go wrong. I do recommend!

This is a fantastic tablet. The size, memory, and display are spot on. It gets used for simple games, reading, pattern viewing, and book editing. The only slightly annoying thing is that Samsung hasn't made it compatible with their theme store.

This is a good tablet. It is fast and easy to use. I just bought a CD holder for it for my car and can use it for navigation in the car. My phone does that too but this is bigger and it has an android program that I don't have on my iphone.

Very, very happy with this. It runs as quickly as a Chromebook, boots up quickly, does everything a tablet should do. And yet, it doesn't go through the battery quickly. My wants are small, so I keep it on power saver mode and it REALLY goes a long time between charges.
