I bought tablet as a gift to my wife. I mistakenly had it shipped to the wrong address. Fortunately the person who received it was honest and returned it via Fed Express. I bought a second one for my wife for Christmas. On Jan 4 Best Buy reimbursed me. My wife uses the Samsung tablet everyday.

I received the tablet yesterday. I spent a few hours setting it up. Today, I went to connect it to e-mail accounts (for my mother who knows nothing about computers etc...), I got her e-mails connected and the whole unit went black. I thought it was dead. The battery was at 100%, so that wasn't it. Hard restarting didn't work, charging didn't register at all. Nothing at all shows on the screen but deep black. Then after trying again to hard restart the unit, I saw the Samsung logo way in the back behind the black screen, so I connected it to my computer and was able to see the internals of the tablet, so it was on, but it appears the screen blew out. Samsung customer service is of no help. I gave it time and tried again, it made no difference. I have no choice but to return it, WITH my mother's personal accounts still active in the device. Not happy. I have purchased several open box devices in excellent condition and never had any problem, until this one. There are no signs of damage. Who knows what the previous person may have done to it. Otherwise, It had a nice, vivid display, easy settings, fast internet, and would have been good for my mother to look things up on her own after I got it ready to go for her, but she wouldn't know what to do if anything like this happened to her. I also liked that the front facing camera is in the center of a landscaped screen, so unlike with an iPad, you might actually show up in the center on a video call instead of creepily from an unflattering side angle. The camera worked but the picture quality was so so.

Very good tablet.they squeeze alot of sound out of those little speakers. Display is bright and clear. Internet loads quick. I dont play games, so i cannot evaluate. The only downside is a case is necessary because of the narrow bezels.
