I don't usually review things, too lazy, but I had to for this tablet, its that good! I keep reading reviews on this tablet criticizing Samsung for it overall (same as original, just new packaging etc)...but honestly, I DO NOT feel that is justified at all. Just PICK THIS THING UP! It's STUPID THIN...love it. Bought it onsite when I checked it out in store and selling my surface 3 and 2013 nexus 7 to pay for it as it more than adequately replaces both of those for my needs (productivity=surface, reading / surfing=nexus 7). As for speed/capability, I have yet to experience any lag. Will it be great for gaming? No clue, I don't game on mobile devices, so maybe that's what I'm missing...but for productivity, reading etc this is an absolute joy to use...the build quality is very good and oh, did I mention how incredibly impossibly THIN this thing is? Good job Samsung.

True & tested, honest review from a fellow consumer. I have had this device since fall 2015. I originally had the SG Tab-A 9.7 with the S-Pen. The comparison between this and the SG TabA was met with significant differences in both speed and graphics. Yes. SG Tab A was hurting my precious eyes due to the large pixels that I could not ignore anymore. It was time to upgrade to the SG-S2. I am certainly glad I did! I use this everyday and have a hard time putting it down. 90% of the time I would choose to use the SG-S2 tablet over my home computer due to how fast it gets me to where I want to go: quick search or social media right at my fingertips. I would occasionally catch my husband use it as the unofficial bathroom tablet. --one which I highly do not approve of. But I sometimes use it in there too so I give in. It is not waterproof so if you opted for the GeekSquad protection, you should have no problem with its durability. One advice: get a nice case to protect the screen and the overall body. It will significantly make it last longer. I have had a few scratches on my screen protector already.

This tablet screen quality is amazing, multitasking is great and you can get three out of four app store on this device: google, samsung, and amazon. Plus you can expand your memory to 128 WOW!!!!! I HAVE A 64G MICROSD CARD AND ITS PLENTY. Not to mention you get word, excel, and PowerPoint included. Also a three month free subscription with texture a magazine app. So worth the money and all this in a light and thin form WOW!!! AGAIN PLEASE TRY THIS BE BUYING AN IPAD 2.

I bought this to replace my ailing iPad mini. I use a Samsung Note as my phone and decided I wanted my devices to run on the same system. So far, I love it. It does everything my iPad did, but faster and with less glitches. The one app I was initially disappointed in was the Amazon Instant Video service. I use this app a lot and at first glance, I was unable to download on this device it to watch movies. A quick Google search showed me this is a common complaint. I found the workaround by researching it a little bit, but it seemed a little ridiculous that such a popular app wasn't readily available without some additional legwork. I chose the gold because the white was out of stock . It's more of a dull platinum/gold color. It's muted and very nice.

I've had the S2 9.7 for a week now and hands down it's way better than my old Note 10.l. its twice as light, 10 times faster, photos jump out at you, love the sidesync. Can't wait link it up to my new HD TV. Over all a great choice, plus I can't say enough about the help I get at the Richfield store in MN when I have questions or need help.

I researched my purchase for a couple of weeks. I wanted to replace my old Ipad. I was leaning towards a Ipad Air 2 with 128 gigs. At the last minute a friend advised me to check out the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. I saw that the screen resolution and color was superior. The tablet had the capability of using 128 gig micro sd card. It was loaded with Microsoft office. The processor unit is slightly slower than the new Ipad but for me it was not a big deal. Mostly, I figured I saved a lot of $$ (appx: $350) going with this Samsung Tab 2. I have had it for about a month now and still excited about the purchase. I could have purchased the new Ipad Air 2 and been happy with it until I saw a person who is showing off their Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

Just picked this up last week. Super thin, Super light. Great screen, beautiful for videos. Can't find anything to complain about.

I had to decide between upgrading to the Table S2 from the Table S. I didn't think Samsung could improve upon the Table S...well they did. Purchased my Table S2 Open Box for $80 less than the listing price. I am a very happy camper. Very light, very fast, and very elegant.

I replaced my lost 12.2 Pro with this tablet. The screen is beautiful and performance is great even after full encryption. However, battery life is poor. I use this at work for meetings and other roaming, including VDI and by the end of the day I'm below 40%. If I used is all day I don't think I'd make it. I also have keyboard cover.

In short, I like it. I was debating between the 8 or the 9.7, and I ultimately went with the larger one mainly because I preferred how it felt to hold. It's very responsive and quick when surfing the Internet and loading pages. I also like the crispness of the screen when watching any kind of video. I don't require all that much from my tablet, as I use it mainly for reading and surfing, but I would wholeheartedly recommend this tablet to anyone. It has been nothing but stellar for me.

I love , love this tablet it is fast as heck and has excellent clarity. I bought this to replace my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and this one is much much faster. This tablet is quite thin and I would recommend getting the actual samsung brand tablet cover for it as they are a perfect fit .

I'm a first time tablet user and wanted something specific for watching videos, browsing the internet, and emails. This tablet is so easy to use and the right size and weight for simple usage. The resolution is awesome and video streaming appears without any issue. I highly recommend this product for any first time tablet user.

I purchased the Motorola Xoom tablet when it first came out and I loved it. The Xoom had a flash on the camera and that is about the only feature I feel this Samsung tab is lacking. This tablet is lightweight and has an awesome crisp video display. There are times when I think it is sluggish on high graphics applications but it quickly recovers. I also have an iPad which I want to abandon someday because I am an Android fan.

Very disappointed with this product. Runs very slow and freezes all the time..

I had a very old Samsung - 2 years - and it was acting sluggish etc. This one is lightening speed all the time... i am writing this review on this tablet... only issue is battery life... wish it was more than 4-5 hours...

Upgraded from note. Much more responsive and better size fit. Love that the MS Office is available.

I absolutely loveee this tablet. I've had it for 7 months and it works great. The size is perfect because it's big enough to watch netflix, play games and pretty much do everything with ease. It's pretty thin and light for its size. I would definitely recommend!
