Very fast. Love the screen. Would be nice if it had a fingerprint reader.

Been wanting a tablet for a long time. Was going back and forth on whether to get a Microsoft Surface Go or an Android tablet. Decided to go with Samsung Tab S4 since I really just want it for consuming media. I have way better laptop if I want to do laptopy things. The screen on it looks awesome and feels like a premium device. The experience is quite similar to that of my Samsung Note phone but much bigger.

This is a solid tablet with a great screen. The S pen that comes with it is a nice touch.

The size is just about right, so you get ultra portability to go with a brilliant screen. Loaded with features I won't even use. Nice that the pen is included with the tab.

This tablet has an amazing screen and is super fast! No hiccups or other issues to speak of.

I had the original Galaxy Tab 10" and it was a very good android tablet. Over the years it slowed down. So I was looking to replace it. The new Galaxy Tab S4 is an awesome tablet. It is fast, crystal clear screen and has all the production software I need. The video and photo work I can do on it is perfect for trips and I can get my email when away from home. The pen makes if really versatile.

Gorgeous picture, superb speed, the only thing that I didn't like was the thickness.

I wanted a tablet or 2-in-1 laptop specifically to take hand written notes and the sales associate suggested this over a similarly priced HP 2-in-1. In addition I got a great open box discount on this tablet. I am also impressed with the battery life when measured against my usage pattern. I definitely recommend this for those who dont want to drop a bunch of money on the new models.

First, walking around the device you find a metal frame with Gorilla glass front and back. On the sides you'll find 4 speakers, USB-C, a headphone jack (Yay!), and a tray for expandable storage. All of that said, the device looks beautiful and feels solid, if just a little heavy. On the down side, I've never been a fan of glass backs, and this one causes the device collect fingerprints like they're going out of style and to feel just a bit slippery. Both good reasons to invest in a folio. Next, turn the device on and you are greeted by an absolutely gorgeous display. The 2560 x 1600 AMOLED display is bright, vibrant, and crisp. Audio was initially a bit underwhelming; plenty of volume, but a bit flat. However, I did find that if you enable the Dolby Atmos option (off by default), the sound greatly improves. Performance has been snappy: Apps load quickly and perform well. Battery life has been more than sufficient. And the S Pen is amazing as always. Though, there is no place to internally dock the pen. A bit surprising as Samsung can seem to find a way to make this work on the much smaller Note series. Why not on a larger tablet? OS is Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. While Oreo is not the latest version of Android available, it is a mature OS and an overall good, stable choice. The typical Samsung skinning and bloat are present (Knox, Samsung Kids, SmartThings, and MS Office...which is useless, BTW, without a 365 subscription). But because this is Android, you can really install anything you want: Don't like the Samsung launcher, calendar or keyboard? You can install any of the good 3rd party options available from the Play Store. The much touted keyboard is not included. That said, I did poke around just a bit in the new DeX software. I could see where the more desktop-like experience with a task bar and sizable windows could be useful. But without a physical keyboard and mouse, the experience is a bit hobbled.

So my mom was needing a new or tablets. Therefore, I purchased this one and gave her my old one. I took it in 2 Geek Squad and they transferred everything from my Galaxy that I had over to this one in a matter of minutes. It was super easy. I like that it pretty much runs just like the other one that I had. I don't have to sit here and cuss it out as I learned it all over again. LOL

Runs great, awesome screen, still very modern. Excellent for media consumption.

This is my second Galaxy Tab S. I have the original and was finally starting to run out of space. The switch back to a landscape form is what sold me. The S2 and S3 followed Apple's portrait mode with the home button on the short side. The lack of a home button now makes this tab easier to use in landscape. I paired this with the keyboard case and use it instead of a laptop when I travel.

The Tab S3 is a great tablet, but I thought the changes made to the S4 would be worth the loss of the fingerprint scanner and the S3's screen size and shape. I was wrong, I'm afraid. I lost so much efficiency by trying to use the iris scan and the face scan. It has been painful. Annotating documents is now less desirable too due to the long screen. If you can afford this as a media consumption device, then it's very nice, but for me, it's going back. Back to the S3 with a new appreciation.

Purchased this open box. It really was open box...came in a ziploc bag with just the charger. I believe that it was supposed to have a pen with it. For the price reduction, I was able to buy a pen online and it was still probably half price. This is for my 11 y/o son and he loves it. The colors are very vibrant and he likes using the pen to draw on it.
