Traded in an original Samsung Tab S purchased in 2014 that no longer gets OS updates, getting slow and the battery was not holding a good charge. I had read about the disappearing WIFI issue on these tablets S5E and I was able to duplicate it on the STORE display model. However, on the one I purchased and took HOME, I could not duplicate the issue so I am very happy. This tablet is very light, fast (I don't play video games) but a little pricey. Still getting used to the shape of it.

This is an excellent tablet for entertainment. Although it's capable of doing work functions, it's not ideal for that so keep that in mind. Overall, as far as web surfing, watching movies/videos, texting and phone calls... you won't find a better tablet at this price point. I've had mine for 2 months and bought the expensive keyboard with it. Keyboard you can do without, price is not justified. Overall, I love this tablet and would highly recommend.

I'll start by saying I really used to dislike Samsung for their operating system as it was always a horrible experience for me. After a long while, i decided to give Samsung another try because I wanted something new other than Google and apple products. It plays anything so smoothly and so clear, and the built in audio with the quad speakers is amazing! The only issue for me is the lack of a headphone jack. Otherwise a must have for modern tablets with premium quality!

I was very much looking forward to this as it seemingly had everything I wanted in a tablet. Good scree, slim, nice build. I don't need all the fancy extras. However I do need the wifi connection to be good, and this tablet fails at holding a good wifi connection when held in horizontal mode. I think it has to do with my hands blocking the antenna. Regardless - this is a deal breaker, and I am very sad to have to be returning it. It also means I won't be able to keep the free smarthings hub that came with it. So I don't make this decision lightly.

I read a few negative reviews before purchasing this tablet. Issue's with wifi or the thumb print reader ........ However I have had none of those issue's. The screen is top notch performance is good,great for media same screen quality as the iPad pro for half the price.

Connects to all wifi networks except with my home wifi network (Spectrum). I've swapped tablet and nothing. I've swapped router and nothing. All other devices connect to my network including my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone but not my S5e tablet. Couldn't be any more annoyed. Returning this ASAP. I tried. PLUS, I believe it needs more RAM to function appropriately and a better processor chip. Sound quality is great and video quality is great. I have to make sure I have one app open at a time to avoid apps crashing.

I was debating between the tab s6 lite and the s5e since I was on a budget and wanted to buy 2 tablet and since I do not use the pen on my note 20, I decided to go with the s5e. The display is BEAUTIFUL and the software is amazing and very much next level. I bought two of them and both work amazingly. The official keyboard which I bought off mercari is great!

Think of IPhone4 and the it's you not me problem. In landscape mode with your hand on the tablet you will cause the wifi to drop repeatedly. Search for it "Samsung S5e wifi problem" on Google and you will see. Otherwise this is a beautiful tablet and would be near perfect. Bought and returned after discovering source of issue. So far no resolution because it is hardware.

Excellent build quality, fantastic software, very smooth, and beautiful screen. This is the Android tablet I've been waiting for.

Great price I am very satisfied, and was exactly what I was looking for.

Nearly every tech site I visit has acknowledged a wifi design flaw in this tablet. I personally downloaded a wifi signal strength app, and when I have the device in landscape mode, and I hold it firmly in the bottom left hand corner, I lose anywhere between 20 and 50% wifi strength. If I have 90% wifi strength, I typically only lose about 20%, but if I only have 40 or 50% wifi strength, holding it in the bottom corner will cause disconnections. I, like many people, saw nothing at first, because I was in an area with 90% wifi strength, so I was only losing 1 bar of wifi. But after doing deeper testing and testing in various conditions, it is very clear: there is a design flaw with this tablet. I went to best buy and downloaded the same wifi signal strength app on two Tab S5e's and both had the same issue. No replacement will fix this issue, and if you are in the middle of something important and you are in an area with spotty wifi, it will disconnect on you if you hold it normally. Do yourself a favor and return this tablet if you have it before it is too late. I would love for Samsung to send a voucher to me, or some nice thing and fix my tablet, but they've had several news sites contact them and they have yet to respond and it has been over a week, they are ignoring the issue. So please do not support them more and buy this!

Works great if I am within 15 feet of router. Of the 5 tablets I have owned, this is the least usable in most areas. I use this device alongside another device as I game across devices. The other device has no connection issues when the S5e is failing to connect. Other than that it works great if I am in a good location, but would never buy this again. Hardware quality of wifi is terrible, rest is great. Thought it would be good value based on price, but restricted use are makes value terrible. Cannot use it where I can use other wifi devices, so usability is terrible

Easy to transfer your information from other devices.

I preodered this tablet because it looked like it suits my needs and it does for the most part, but there are a few deal breakers that are probably going to force me to return it tonight. 1. I already had to return my first unit. It randomly froze and rebooted repeatedly. It was a pre-order unit, and I assumed maybe it got banged around in shipping, so I exchanged it for a new device which has been much better, but did randomly reboot once last night. Very concerning! 2. And this is probably the reason it is going back. There are no cases available for this tablet ANYWHERE! Not even on Amazon. They have a few made in China that are not Prime and will not arrive until the end of May, to early June. The only one I found is the keyboard case for $129, which to me defeats the whole purpose of this tablet. The only other case supposedly comes out this week and has a 1 star review here on Bestbuy.com. That reviewer said it is $70 junk. I am not paying $70 for a cheap plastic case. It's a shame Samsung cannot put out quality accessories in time for launch for a product that was made available for pre-order. Especially one as fragile as this.

My first S5E bought from our local store loaded up all my apps from my old Tab 3, ran beautifully, but was dead the next morning. A clear case of infant mortality (I thought). I ordered a replacement unit from the online store, but the story repeated. The S5E has a significant software vulnerability.

The aluminum is cheap and not flat. It’s wavy If you hold to your eye level. The glass is the same. Inferior quality. Also wavy at eye level. The AMOLED panel may appear nice but is inferior also due to banding. It’s like black stripes. I thought it was mine. I returned unit and second one is the same. Returned for the S4. Quality on that one is night and day better. Glass is flat like it’s supposed to be. Panel is way better.

I signed in to pick up order curbside ,and pushed the blue button to let the store at 3142 SE Military Dr #103 that I had arrived. I waited 20 minutes ,and nobody ever came out. I had to go inside to pick up order. Then opened box ( which did not state that it was missing the earphone cable). So will never be purchasing from this particular store again.
