I recently got the Samsung S6 Galaxy tablet. I have owned many different tablets, mostly iPad's, but this is my second Android tablet. This is the slimmest & lightest device I have had the pleasure of playing with. It is the first thing I noticed after unboxing. Also immediately noticeable is how slick looking the S6 is. From an appearance perspective, the S6 looks much better than a regular iPad, but falls behind the iPad pro. As a matter of preference, the larger screen makes all the difference to me. Out of the box, you get the tablet, the pen, and a fast charge setup. The last two items are welcome value compared to what apple typically offers with iPads. After unwrapping the plastic, I had the S6 up and running in minutes. Set up was a breeze. If you had a previous android tablet, you have the option to use previous backups, or you can just start fresh. I chose to start fresh. Something about a nice clean screen without clutter built up over years is nice. The touch screen looks beautiful, as you would expect. Websites, videos, and games all look great on it. Multitasking works the best in any tablet I have owned, the processor has been able to handle everything I threw at it and probably has plenty of room to spare. The four built in speakers sound great for being in such a small device. Music and movies surround you. This is definitely a device to consider if consuming content is your thing and you will not be disappointed. The camera on the tablet is better than what the current iPad pro can offer. Pictures come out with better, more realistic color. The two lenses give you a couple different options to get the shot you want. That being said, I likely will not use the camera on here ever again. I have my phone to take pictures, I never think about using a tablet to perform that task. The fast charge is nice and the battery life is what you would expect. If you are playing games, watching videos, or using the tablet, the battery is going to drain. The fast charge will get you back to your entertainment quickly, which is nice. Shifting gears to the S-pen, as I said it is a good value to get it with your purchase vs having to spend extra money to get it. The Pen functions well and works well with the tablet. It charges fast and taking notes is nice and easy. Writing feels natural. Despite this, there are two things that I find disappointing. The design choice to have the pen magnetically attach to the back of the tablet vs the side does not work well for me. I found that I would knock the pen off too frequently because the magnet is not that strong. In addition, the tablet cannot lie flat with the pen attached. The second thing that I was disappointed with was the writing to text software. I tried to write this review using the pen. After the first paragraph, I converted my writing to text. 20 minutes later after fixing 50% of it, I gave up. Maybe that says more about my handwriting, but I was less than impressed. If you are wrapped up in the android ecosystem, this tablet is great as an addition to what you have or as an upgrade. If you are wrapped up in the apple ecosystem, while great, this tablet probably is not going to get you to switch by itself.

Its fairly easy to use and fast. Knock off one star because the pen sometimes took multiple taps to click on a target picture or button in the UI.

The samsung s6 is a quick tablet with a great display. It charges quickly. The pen placement is my only complaint. Without a case, it falls off easily.
