If you have a relatively recent Samsung Galaxy phone (let's say S9/Note8 or newer), and you're happy with and committed to it, the Galaxy Tab S6 is nearly a no-brainer, must-buy. It operates much like your phone but with bigger real estate. It also works well alongside Galaxy phones: you can answer your calls and texts from your Tab S6. At $650, as expensive as it is, compared to its competition, you get a lot of value in what you pay for. It includes the S-pen, something Microsoft and Apple does not do with their respective tablet pens. It also weighs lighter than an iPad Air but with features comparable to the iPad Pro 11" (quad stereo speakers, no front-facing physical buttons). You're also able to expand the memory storage with a microSD card; expandable up to 1TB. Unlike the iPad however, you get a tablet with a true multitasking experience with more control over how you can use and manage your device without any inconvenient hacking or jailbreaking. You can open more than one app at a time and run them in resizeable split-screen mode, or with one as floating pop-up window that you can move anywhere on the screen, not just the corners. If you're adventurous, you can download Samsung's Good Lock app, and with the MultiStar app within it, you can force apps that normally aren't compatible with multiwindow to open in multiwindow. You can also have sound playing from more than one open app. For a more laptop-type experience, you can run the tablet in Dex mode which allows you to work in a desktop interface with a keyboard and mouse connected to it, either by bluetooth or by USB if you purchase an optional USB-C hub. Your apps will open in windows, and you can open several at a time. With the AMOLED screen and 2560x1600, the screen looks gorgeous. The form factor of the tablet is great for consuming full screen video in landscape mode, resulting in less black bars. File management is a breeze in that you can just plug it into your computer and drag and drop files without any special software. File management within the tablet is just as easy. Using the "My Files" app, the tablet's native file management app, you're able to copy, delete, and move files with ease. You can even access your Google Drive, OneDrive, SD card, and connected USB storage from it. My biggest knock against it, and Android tablets in general is that there are few tablet optimized apps in the Google Play Store. Sadly many developers appear to favor iOS.Even when a tablet app exists for both platforms, the quality tends to be better on iOS. However, the versatility, better multitasking, and the ease of file management makes the Tab S6 a winner for me.

So I will say upfront that I'm an Apple user, so the Samsung Galaxy S6 tablet took a little bit for me to get used too. Once I got comfortable enough with it, I have to admit that I'm a fan. First, the screen is crystal clear (although I did struggle with the brightness a little while watching netflix). Second, it's light weight and easy to handle. The screen is responsive and I had no issues getting to where I wanted. What I was most impressed with was the speed of the responsiveness. Whether I was messing around learning a game or streaming on Netflix, I had no issues. My only complain was that I had to create a Google/Gmail account to take full advantage of some of the features, other than that it's an excellent tablet.

I absolutely love this tablet. It is quick, apps load fast and browsing the internet is snappy. The screen is bright and sharp and photos taken with the tablet look great. The tablet came with an app called penup that I have been having a lot of fun with. It is a drawing, coloring app that makes great use of the included pen which is amazing. The pen has the perfect weight and feels natural in my hand. Taking written notes is easy on this tablet. My favorite feature is by far the in screen fingerprint reader which makes unlocking the tablet quick and easy. I was able to pair my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard with the tablet to help with writing papers. This tablet has been getting a lot of use.

Stopped charging after 3 weeks =/ return was very easy at bestbuy. Need to wait a week for replacement though =/

Just can't get used to all this Samsung interface annoyance to unlock the screen, power off,etc.and doesn't seem to have much battery life.

My wife has used this Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 for one month before it started rebooting on its own; leaving it unusable. I cleared the cache in the recovery menu, no go. I then performed a factory reset from the recovery menu 3x and still no go. After the reset, the "Let's go" page popped up, but would restart again after attempting to setup the tablet. I'm sure this is probably a corrupted firmware, but not sure.

Two hours on the phone in attempt to get order correct. Call hangups, lengthy holds to speak with supervisor, one part of Best Buy does not seem to know what the other is doing. Absolute frustration. I finally took my business to a competitor, who made everything go smoothly. I know now where to go next time.

Returned 3 pink galaxy tabs because the pen did not work down the middle of any of the screens. Samsung said this is not a known problem and best buy didnt have a clue. I have a grey tab and it works perfectly fine so while knows.

I bought an open box excellent Samsung tablet. It came with no charger or cord or stylus and had fingerprints all over it. I spent over 30 mins. on hold trying to talk.to customer service at my local store. Call was never answered. I returned the item.

Get the larger storage model, comes with more ram.

there is a reason they brought it back, usually something doesn't perform properly. Now it's true you can get your refund but now you've tied your money up for weeks. Better off with a refurbished if you don't wanna pop for a new one.

We picked up 1st tablet, learned it didn’t work and quickly returned. The store clerk ordered a replacement to be delivered to our home, that one didn’t work either! Super disappointed as it was my husband’s (costly:) birthday present.

I bought it 2 months ago and I returned it last week because suddenly it doesn't turn on anymore.

After a few weeks my tablet has been shutting down on it's own and when its at 100% power it goes down to 50% when I dont use it for 12 hours. Why is this happening?

I do love how this tablet works as it is snappy and runs great. I do have a few issues. The pen has to charge by being stuck to the back. I kept knocking it off by mistake. I tried using a wireless keyboard and it took me to the DeX mode and it made it feel kinda like a really small Chromebook. Not what I was looking for but works well. The fingerprint reader is in the screen and works okay if you keep the screen clean. However I couldn't use a screen protector since it blocked the reader just enough to lock me out a few times. Overall though a really good tablet if you need a good quality tablet

Great tablet, my son loved it. Durable battery. I will totally recommend it.

This is a particularly good update for the Samsung Tab line of tablets. If you are new to this line, you will not be disappointed with the build quality, picture clarity, touch sensitivity, or abundance of features. If you have had a tablet in this line previously as I do, there is much better usability and adaptability to new technology and multitasking. The S-Pen for this product is chargeable wirelessly by magnetically attaching to the back of the tablet. The keyboard cover incorporates a space for the pen and is a must add if you plan on not losing the pen as there is no space inside the tablet to store it. It is a trade off, but one that I appreciate. The keyboard cover adds functionality of a mini laptop and is a well integrated and usable accessory. The reboot is fast, the software is familiar if you are an android user, but well thought out and easy to pick up if you are not. I would recommend this as a main tablet, and even to possibly replace a laptop if you have minimal use for storing or creating documents. A winning product if you ask me!!
