Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Galaxy Tab S6's stunning screen quality, long battery life, and ease of use. The included S Pen and ample storage also receive high praise, with many appreciating the tablet's performance and lightweight design. While some find the price a bit high and the lack of a headphone jack inconvenient, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

The fingerprint bug from s10 and note 10 does exist on this tablet also. Anyone can bypass your lockscreen by applying a tempered glass screen on it.

I have had this tablet for almost FIVE years. Like in 12 days it will be five years! And it still works just as great now as it did in 2019. I've never had a tablet last this long. I love it! And I seriously can't live without my tablet. My whole life is on this incredible device. I very highly recommend it.

    Good Luck upgrading w/SmartSwitch

I bought this as an upgrade for my wife's Tab S3, it's a little longer, a little narrower and noticeable faster with better battery life. Getting the pen to stay in the back is real trick, don't count on winning. The tablet is a decent upgrade, but moving applications with smartswitch (based on the apps I tried to move) is nearly useless. My wife's tab S3 had 32GB memory of that 29GB was used (online slot matching games, word matching games, no photos or videos. But some of the games tooks up 3 to 5 GB. When I attempted to use SmartSwitch to copy from the 32GB S3 to the 256GB S6 I got an error saying I needed to delete 12GB of data from the S3! What! I then tried to use SmartSwitch to back up to a notebook with 100's of GB free, similar error telling me to delete 11.8GB of data from the S3. How can this be. I added a blank 128GB sd card to the S3 HOPING it would find a way to use the SD card during it's data transfer. IT came back even faster identifying that there was a SD card and wanted to know if it should be backed up also, them the please delete 12.1GB from the source device. Idiotic, why does it want to me to delete so much data from the SOURCE device.. The whole point of backups and moving data from one machine to another is being able to keep you data. So I contacted Samsung support, and was probably talking to someone in the Philippines or India. He basically confirmed my worst fears to use their SmartSwitch app it must have enought free space as the data that being backed up to do the move. He said he could make a suggestion to their development team to correct this, but that's how it worked. AND there is no way to incrementally copy one app at a time, as SmartSwitch will delete and re-create folders every time it is run. So, of the 15 games my wife had played for the last 3+ years, I could move 3 (to be able to delete 12GB). I spent 3 days trying to do the move before I explained to my wife what I had found, and that to use the new tablet, she would have to start over on most of her games. NEEDLESS to say this did not go over well, she now wants to keep her old S3 so she does not loose her rewards. I did convince the Samsung tech to have a supervisor call me back so I could discuss my problems. 3 days later I did get a call, from someone that listened and said they were sorry a lot, but that's the way it is. She said she had heard of this issue previously, and shoe could suggest improvements inf the future. I asked why a freshDS card could not be used to do the movement, she though that was good idea but it was not supported. I asked why the cloud could not be used, again good suggestion but that not the way it works... Basically tough luck, is there anything else I can help you with... I can't say that talking with her made me any less frustrated. Having updated and grown from PC to PC, and notebook to notebook, and one generation of apple device to another, I've never had such a poor experience, and miserable help from support. The Tab S6 is a nice piece of hardware, If you're not trying to move from a previous device (that's full) its fine, but if you plan to take you data with you - GOOD LUCK - it might be easier to switch to another device.

I’m not sure who Samsung is intending this product for. I purchased this tablet because I missed the Android ecosystem, having been an iPad user for some time, since the days of the Samsung Tab S2 (a while). This was a mistake. Despite multiple android versions later, Android 9/10 is just as cumbersome as earlier versions, and does not lend itself to a tablet environment at all. I figured plugging in the keyboard to get Samsung’s version of a desktop tablet experience would be the answer, but I was wrong. “Dex” works, I guess, but when it’s employed you can’t access any Android apps you have installed, except file manager and the internet. How “useful”. The detachable keyboard itself protects the tablet well enough, but it’s flimsy and unwieldy, not usable as a lap device at all. It also has no backlight. I wouldn’t buy the keyboard again in a hundred years, even as it was 1/2 priced with the tablet purchase. Overall this was a major disappointment, and I wonder who it was intended for? Too expensive to be a kids tablet, too unwieldy for productivity or to use on a lap / as a laptop replacement. If you want a laptop replacement with a good keyboard and the Android experience? Buy a chrome book. That’s what I did after returning this tablet.

Review is for Best Buy service and NOT the product

I ordered an "open box" Galaxy Tab S6 that was listed online as being in "Excellent" condition. Given that BB lists standards for the listed condition, I felt confident that I would be picking up an acceptable condition product. So much so that I was willing to make a 40 minute drive (one way) to pick up the tablet. For reference, the standard for an excellent condition open box item, says that "Products in Excellent condition look brand new — with no physical flaws, scratches or scuffs — and include all original parts and accessories. The product will be in its original packaging or a suitable replacement box." The first problem was that the item did not look "brand new", far from it in fact. There were scuffs and what I could only explain as being chunks of an adhesive on the back. The second issue was that the tablet did not "include all original parts". No charger. No cable. No documentation. No sdcard eject tool. No S-Pen extra tips and replacement tool. In fact the only things in the box were the tablet and S-Pen, literally nothing else. Third, the tablet and S-Pen that were included were shrink wrapped to a slab of cardboard. Hardly original packaging or a suitable replacement box, but I suppose "suitable" is a subjective term here. Finally, when I went to discuss the issue, still willing to discuss a workable solution, the employee took the item from my car and indicated that he would discuss the issue with the manager. 5 minutes later he comes back and they can't locate my pickup slip, mind you I picked it up just MINUTES before. He asked for my order number so they could find the order which I pulled up and gave him. After a moment I realized that he wasn't paying any attention and ask "Did you get that"? "No, sorry" he replied. After giving it to him again, off he goes for another 5 minutes and he returns and hands me a receipt. No discussion, no apology, nothing. After looking at the receipt it is clear that my purchase was refunded without any communication. Overall an extremely terrible BB customer experience that will certainly make me rethink where I purchase my gadgets moving forward.
