I had an old samsung tab and this is a very nice upgrade. I love the s pen. It works very well. I am still learning about all the features. I really like that you can pick a theme that matches your wallpapers. I think this will work great for note taking. I brought this for just general use. Like notes, netlix, hulu, games, youtube, etc. I feel like the battery life is good. Haven't charged it since I got it.
