Slow but good enough for read and write

It handles these tasks very well. Writing on it feels fluent. It's just a little bit slow on everything, opening an app, responding to orientation change, using OneNote (may not be the tablets' fault), etc. I also don't like it when I lost the S pen and couldn't find an official replacement.

You do have to be careful with what typ of external storage you buy, make sure its compatible with the device. I bought the 1 TB Samsung micro SD external storage.

Got this for our daughter and the setup was simple, including setting up parental controls. Comes with a stylus which is a plus for the artist in your family. Processor speed is great and there's not lag in gaming or browsing.
