Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the Galaxy Tab S8's large screen size, the included S-Pen, and its long battery life. Many also appreciate its ease of use and performance. While some find the price high and the lack of a headphone jack inconvenient, the positive feedback on other features outweighs these concerns. The expandable storage is also a plus for many users.

Great tablet
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LCD screen seemed off in the store, when I purchased it, the screen looked normal. Battery life is great, pen functionality is amazing. Went with the smallest for the LCD and best portability.

Best Value Tablet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Today there are all kinds of crazy tablets out there with built-in keyboards, kickstands, swivels, etc. to which the Galaxy Tab S8 bucks all of those trends and instead focuses on the true function of a tablet and knocks it out of the park! I preface my review in saying in the true sense of a portable tablet this is the best tablet as if you are looking for kickstands and keyboards just buy a laptop. Biases aside though right out of the box you can tell that Samsung has continued to evolve with their tablets as the build quality is top notch as the case has that metal finish and the tablet is not too light and flimsy feeling like budget tablets. The overall feel before even powering on the tablet gives a premiere aesthetic. With the actual performance of the tablet though this thing definitely holds its own compared to any other tablet on the market (yes the m1 chip on the iPad may technically be more powerful, but within regular normal use they are near identical). The battery is also exceptional providing enough power for an entire day of driving that I took it on and the fast charging is an extremely nice feature. Many will complain that it does not have an OLED display, but comparing them side by side the difference is extremely minimal (aside from when using the "eye comfort shield" feature at night if you choose to do so) as the brightness with this tablet is unmatched and pictures and streaming video came across very sharp especially with the 120Hz refresh rate (superior to the iPad`s 60Hz). As someone coming from the Apple ecosystem I was extremely impressed with the Android 12 operating system as everything was extremely snappy and every app or task I wanted to complete was made easily available to which I had no issues at all regarding the operating system combined with the power of this tablet. I also do want to mention the cameras as traditionally this is not a focal point of tablets, but Samsung has really stepped up their game with the front facing camera as it is now an ultra-wide camera with an auto framing feature that follows you to ensure you remain centered to which this featured combined with the noise cancellation mics has been great for video calls on the go. The final item I have to mention is the S pen as I was amazed at how well this worked with it coming included with the tablet as with other tablets usually it is just a gimmicky after thought, but Samsung really brought its previous experiences with the S Pen perfectly to the S8 as it was extremely fluid and I love the mate/rubbery texture to which the magnet for holding on the back of the tablet was plenty powerful as well. As can be seen I am a major proponent for this tablet though others may say it is far inferior to the more premier S8+ or S8 Ultra models to which in my opinion the only real true differences are the screen size as yes technically the screen is OLED, the s pen sensitivity is better, there is an in screen fingerprint sensor, and they have larger batteries. However, I can refute the majority of these in that with the screen, as mentioned earlier, unless you are using the blue light "eye comfort shield" setting there is minimal difference, the s pen sensitivity is nearly unnoticed unless you are a professional graphic design artist, the finger-print sensor on the side button works quicker on the S8 in my experience, and the larger battery simply offsets the power to run the larger display. Thus, if you are looking for a true portable tablet going larger than 11 inches becomes cumbersome in my opinion and any further than that buying a laptop at that price point is the better value with how advanced they have become. The other elephant in the room is the new iPad Air (2022) and to which is better and with that I will say they are near identical in almost all respects as yes Apple was the first to market, but Samsung has caught up and even surpassed them in some areas. There really are not many differences so it really simply comes down to ecosystem (iPadOS or Android) as the difference in price is made up on Samsung`s side with the inclusion of the S Pen and twice the storage of the iPad. Thus, to wrap it all up I really don`t think you can find a tablet on the market that provides a better value than the S8 as Samsung has really focused on the areas of true importance from the feel and build quality down to the elements of performance including the display, battery life, and overall performance.

It is amazing for a tablet
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing for everything you need a tablet for. I wanted something that can multitask and it does it well enough. I do not like though that when i use the bookcase keyboard and click on the screen it pulls up the touch keyboard but hey im nitpicking

Nice tablet
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Galaxy Tab S8 is a fine tablet. The display and features are outstanding. The S pen is great, but the pen attaches so poorly to the tablet, you might as well just throw the pen away. The slightest bump and the pen detaches from the tablet. Maybe you could find a case with a strap to hold it in place.

iPad Who?!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid tablet!... iPad who?! 10 years ago, Apple ruled the tablet game. I'm happy to say that that is no longer the case. Hands down would purchase this over a new Apple product. Go Samsung!

Multimedia and Productivity Powerhouse Tablet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re in the market for a high-end Android tablet the Galaxy Tab S lineup has you covered. All 3 models (11inch, 12.4, and 14.6) have the same high-end internal specs except for the screen size and the 11inch model using LCD panel instead of OLED. Pros: Gorgeous display that is bright with punchy colors with a high refresh rate of 120hz Loud Quad Speaker System Snappy Performance Ample storage for the base model (128GB along with 8GB of RAM) Expandable Storage via Micro SD up to 1TB. Dex (transforms your home screen into a desktop environment optimized for productivity) Super Fast charging speed via a 45w charger (not included) Running the latest OS as of this review (Android 12) S Pen included Solid Build Quality Excellent Battery Life Cons: Low selection of Android Apps optimized for the larger screen No wall adapter included No headphone jack Strong productivity software like LumaFusion missing The Galaxy Tab S8 is an amazing Android Tablet that is packed with some useful software features like Dex support. With Dex, you’re able to transform your tablet into a desktop environment that makes it so much easier for productivity work. You can easily move Windows around next to each other as you do on a Windows environment. With proper mouse and keyboard support, I was able to do my review from the S8 Tablet. You can use a USB C to USB A adapter to plug in a wireless keyboard dongle or over Bluetooth if supported. I was able to use the same Dock that I use for my MacBook Air to connect the S8 Tablet to my monitor, and I was also able to transfer files from my portable SSD back and forth from the S8 tablet. Since Samsung packed in the latest processor along with 8GB of Ram, even with multiple apps open I did not experience any stutters or system crashes. I was even able to play some games like Cod Mobile through my monitor using a wireless Bluetooth controller. Samsung did announce a version of LumaFusion will be coming soon. Hopefully this will be the start of more developers porting over productivity apps available in iPadOS. So far the productivity apps available hardly offer any big difference from their phone counterpart. For the most part, Android does a good job upscaling apps to the full screen. But some apps can still benefit from some optimization to better utilize the extra real state screen. Some of the apps come across as blown-up phone apps. Hardware quality is amazing, and for this year’s model, it feels a lot sturdier compared to the S7+ Tablet I have been using. Right off the bat, I was able to tell how much better this tablet felt. The hefty weight from the sturdier aluminum that Samsung claims is 30% stronger sure does feel like it. I have no complaints at all from a build quality standpoint. Not only does the Tab S8 shine as a productivity machine for basic office work, but also does as a multimedia consumption device. The onboard speakers get plenty loud, the only time I used headphones was at night time, so I wouldn’t disturb my partner. Even at the highest setting, I did not hear any distortion. For the display, Samsung gives you 2 color profiles to pick from. The default setting is vivid which is the one I prefer. The other setting is natural. This tablet is awesome for binge-watching Netflix shows and watching YouTube videos. With Wi-Fi 6 e and Bluetooth 5.2 onboard, video buffers and audio drops should be a thing of the past. For security measures, the power button also acts as a thumbprint reader. I was able to quickly unlock my tablet with my thumbprint. Overall, I am happy with the Tab S8. Going from the S7+ I was concerned that LCD was going to be a letdown. Safe to say after a couple of minutes of watching videos and web browsing my concerns were at ease. The hardware is top-notch with the only caveat being the missing software to take advantage of the hardware. With LumaFusion being ported over, in a year or two we might have a bigger selection of productivity that nearly offers all the bells and whistles of their desktop counterpart. For now, if you’re not trying to edit videos and just need a tablet for basic productivity work and media consumption I highly recommend checking out The Galaxy Tab S8 line-up.
