The tablet itself is just so amazing and gorgeous. Best buys delivery was fast and everything was perfect when received.

This review is not on the product itself but a review on buying an open box product from Bestbuy.com. The item was described as excellent condition, open box, and the S pen included. I did not realize when they said open box they meant no box at all! I received my tablet in a plastic bag with a little sticker confirming it was in excellent condition (S pen was also not included). The plastic bag was sent in a 24x14x4 box with barely any padding to protect it. The tablet was cracked across the center of the screen and had a big chip in the corner due to severe negligence from Best buy's shipping department. Spent a week arguing with customer service because they couldn't replace the item, stating they did not have an exact replacement available. No customer service rep was able to find the product. I went on to their website myself for 5 min, found the product, and had them price match something I bought off their website a week prior with customer service on the phone still. Horrible experience!! Horrible service!

Excited to have this product, it's an excellent replacement for the Note 2 I have been nursing along for a while now.

Excellent tablet, nice screen & size. Waiting for lte/5g version. So far on heavy use, as a truck driver. Will recommend.

I really loved my S8 Ultra tab! In my pout of view is a real ipad killer. When you also buy the keyboard cover, you turn it in a really powerful chromebook. Highly recommend.

The Samsung S8 Ultra is an awesome tablet! I know the price isn't cheap but, you are paying for one of the best tablets on the market. I am, by profession, a full-time working musician and I find the S8 Ultra to be the best tablet for my needs. I play multiple stage production shows, recording sessions, gigs, and church. The S8 Ultra allows me to carry my entire music library of charts and audio refs with me in one device. I know any tablet or laptop will do this, but the S8 Ultra does it better than most. Here's why: 1. The large 14.6" display is the biggest available in tablets (that I know of). It allows viewing of chart pages in actual paper size (slightly cropped in width) while in single page mode. It is big enough to view two pages at a time and still be very readable. The display is readable in all light conditions. 2. The S8 Ultra uses the S-Pen (which is included in the price) for writing. It writes smooth and accurately, and feels great. It is perfect for writing and marking up charts. 3. Being an Android tablet, the S8 Ultra allows me to easily connect to any computer, whether my own, someone else's, a theater's, or a studio's. It connects as an external drive and allows me to easily transfer data without having to sync with any special software, like certain other brands. 4. The S8 Ultra has a micro sd card slot, so it allows for unlimited storage capabilities. 5. Besides being a great tool for working musicians, it's a top-of-the-line tablet in all other fields. You can't beat the beautiful 14.6" display for watching movies and gaming. It performs fast and reliably. I have owned many tablets and laptops, the S8 Ultra is my favorite thus far. Get one, you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely wonderful tablet. Everything I wanted. The screen is huge for my old lady yes! Easy to use. I got it to be able to do art on it and for school. I love the way it feels and the fact that it came with the S Pen is a plus. It never slows down or freezes for me and the memory amount is perfect. I am getting into 3d printing, laser cutting and sublimation and plan to upload the apps/software and use this as my main source to work with over my laptop. I have a keyboard, I bought from amazon, and love it too. Well worth the money I would recommend to anyone.

This 14.6 inch oled screen is absolutely beautiful. The 12 gb of ram combined with an additional 8gb of virtual ram is crazy fast. You more or less have a flagship chromebook with dex. I have a m1 11" ipad pro 3rd generation and while an excellent product it can't come close to this tablet for most uses. The 16 x 10 aspect ratio is much better for movie and tv viewing. Multi tasking is awesome. Face id and fingerprint work great. Cameras and speakers are good, battery life is good. I'm buying a usbc hub with usb and hdmi outs for a gaming monitor and usb gaming keyboard and mouse. I bought a nice 30.00 case and you really have the ultimate tablet that doubles as a topshelf computer. Perfect for my needs. Combined functionality with my s22 ultra and you have the perfect pair imo. Not sure how you could do any better?

Coming from an IPAD M1. I got tired of the same OS after 8 years. iPad just gets faster yet it is boring. I decided to switch and have not looked back. Really, what are using this for? YouTube? Content watching your shows. Music? Some light gaming? You buy a tablet for content consumption NOT productivity. This CAN DO BOTH especially with DEX mode and office 365...Why by an iPad? If you want to take the plunge into Android, the mostly needed apps are here now. Unlike 10 years ago. I have not found one app that is not also on the android side that I use. Everything works and HIGHLY customizable. It's 2023. MAKE it your own and not the same boring Apple desktop. Build quality is there. Watch the YouTube video on durability tests. It will not break when bending. IF you want bigger tablet? here it is and HAS expanding storage, buy the base model and add an SD card. And the screen? NO COMPARISON. AMOLED ROCKS. True widescreen when watching Netflix and other services ALL THE STREAMING SERVICES WORK FLAWLESSLY. NO NEED TO WAIT FOR AN Tab S9...what are they really going to add? Waterproofing? Would you really take this to a beach or sit in a pool with it? Faster processor? NOT NEEDED. Better camera? USE YOUR phone and don't look ridiculous snapping a pic with big tablet lol. It is a fast tablet with a great screen for CONTENT consumption or for drawing, email and office 365 use. If you need more, buy a true laptop. And yes there are video and pic editing apps available for NORMAL people. Battery life? +11 hours. AND if YOU OWN an XBOX or PS5...You CAN remote game on it!!!!!!!!!!!! NEED something smaller? Tab S8 PLUS.....same screen and specs. My wife has that one....NO Different if you want a slightly smaller form factor. Check of the FULL keyboard case and bundle info.

It's hard to justify spending so much on a tablet when there are other equally capable options available at a fraction of the cost. Hefty and Unwieldy: This tablet is massive and heavy, making it quite unwieldy to use, especially for extended periods or while on the move. It's definitely not the most portable device. Limited Software Optimization: The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra runs on Android, and while it offers some benefits, it still lacks the full software optimization seen in Apple's iPad lineup. This can result in occasional hiccups and inconsistencies in performance and app compatibility. Questionable Longevity: Given the fast pace of technology advancements, it's uncertain how long the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will remain cutting-edge. Investing in a tablet with such a hefty price tag might not be the wisest decision in the long run. This is an amazing tablet. the large screen is very clear and bright and is great for conference table presentations. Its WIFI and processor are faster than my Surface laptop and the pen works well with illustrations and presentations on the fly.

Awesome powerful tablet. Its a little bit hard to handle like a normal tablet but if you pick up a stand of some sort it makes it alot easier to handle. Samsung Dex makes it almost laptop like in usefulness. The screen and battery life are amazing. The magnet on the back for chargeing the s pen is pretty sturdy and handy for charging when you are not using it. The only downside is you have to buy a 45 watt carging brick yourself and they only give you a cord.

Despite loving my iPads for so long, I've suddenly barely used them -- for many reasons. Watching videos on the Ultra is an incredible experience. It's so much better than even on my iPad Pro 12.9" tablet. And Ultra has far better multi-tasking than the iPad. You can pretty much size windows to any width. The iPad only allows for four sizes. And the result of this large productivity gains. I consume content and take notes simultaneously while still having large app windows. Oh, then there's the ability to use the Ultra as a 2nd screen (alas Windows only) or in Dex mode. This is a fantastic tablet worth every cent if you know how to get maximum value out of it. And the S-pen -- leagues above the Apple Pen. It just glides over the screen in a good way, making notetaking on a tablet not only fun but productive. There are also more useful apps in Google Play store as of late that are perfect for the Ultra. This is what Android needed. There are rumors that Apple is working on a 16-inch iPad (they dropped the 14.1?? inch plan). But until that happens, my 12.9" iPad is now my backup to the Ultra. I wish I'd bought the Ultra much sooner.

Love the large screen, the fact it comes with the s pen. Very fun. Downside is the price...way too expensive. For $1,000 you could buy a number of Samsungs big screen TVs for less. You have to really like Samsung products to justify spending this much. Buy an open box or when there is a really good sale.
