I love the screen quality and the processing speed. I can stream high quality video without any glitches. I'm not a big fan of the s pen sticking magnetically on the back. I do like the responsiveness of the s pen. This will keep me happy for a few years.

The screen is immaculate. Yes large and a little bulky at times. But it makes up for it in sharpness, detail, and battery life. The Samsung One UI 6.0 works flawlessly.

First, the display is gorgeous.. imo, much better than my ipad pro m1 wit miniLED display. Both are great, but OLED is just better. I hate the bloom on my m1 ipad, when it happens, it ruins the viewing experience. Tho from what I'm seeing, Samsung's QC is not the best. Mine has slight yellowish tint.. I've seen pretty bad cases online on various models of the S9 series.
Truly love that Samsung keeps the MicroSD card slot for expandable memory. If Samsung removes that in future models, that's when I truly would not consider getting a Samsung tablet over its competitors. It's one thing that sets it apart when being a premium and expensive tablet.
Including the spen is one of the best reasons to get a samsung galaxy tab. The spen is very good. Galaxy Tabs are also well known to work with other Wacom pens. I'm using it with a Wacom One pen and I actually prefer it because of the more accessible nibs and tad bit thicker pen body. It's also very cheap brand new. I'm really glad samsung includes the spen, and I love that they made it match the color of the tablets, but it does have a samsung tax if you're needing a replacement or wanting multiple spens around for bedside, kitchen, office, etc. It's just nice having multiple pens around the house for when you need it.
sad there isn't a headphone jack, but makes sense since it's so thin, a headphone jack wouldn't actually fit. Personally, I wouldn't mind a thicker tablet that had more battery life. I know everyyy company wants to go thin thin thin. but... imagine a slightly thicker tablet that has like 2x the battery life.. imagine how much you'd gain in the consumers eyes.. everyone would be like, "WOW.. this thing has insane battery life.. the best on the market." and then also a headphone jack.
I personally like that the spen can attach to the back but also Samsung has a spot for it on the side. It's nice to have it out of the way, while it's on the back, but if you just want to set it on the tablet, you can attach it on the side as well. It's sorta weird at first, but then you use it and you see the practicality of it in use.
The notch is irrelevant, imo. When people complain about it.. it's basically just to fill up a bullet point on their list so that they can complain about sommmmething.
An ecosystem is just as important as the hardware of the tablet. Android's ecosystem is getting better. Obviously with time it has and is and will get better. Sadly, it won't ever catch up to ios. apple just got in the business first and had a huge lead. a great example of this is Genshin Impact. GI still doesn't have controller support after 3 years? it still isn't optimized for android vs ios. I think it might be because of an exclusivity contract or something but who knows. Even PC doesn't have 120fps.. yet iOS does... so it's probably the case. another i.g. is goodnotes 6 is now on android.. and while that's awesome.. it's not the same as on ios. it's basically a webapp. do your research if you don't know what i mean.
not a huge con, but a con. The samsung packaging wasn't protected by anything to protect against water, rain, etc. ipads have a plastic wrap on the box. also the box the best buy shipped via fedex was about 3 times the tablet's box and didn' t have any protective padding, bubble wrap, etc. It was literally bouncing around. MRSP $1319 btw.
************************************************************
So what REALLY grinds my gears is that, this tablet, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra that has an MRSP of $1319.99, does not come with a charger of any sort. Just pause and look at the wall for a minute.. let that sink in. $1 , 3 1 9 . 9 9.
I received the tablet with 40% charge.. I signed in, updated stuff, downloaded some apps, tested the tablet with some apps.. messed around with settings, etc. by the time I was done the battery was at 19%. They include a usb c to usb c cable? why? for what charger? so I can charge it with the charger it came with? oh... wait...
(and when I say charger I ofc mean the usb charging adapter that plugs into the wall outlet, obviously) Of course Samsung might say or people will comment, "Well, sir, Samsung is trying to be GREEN and decrease their footprint" ....... well... forcing consumers to go out and have to buy a charger isn't exactly helping with that. Samsung is forcing people to buy a charger.. and therefore doing the exact opposite. I have a phone charger, sure, it's not fast. In fact.. if I use the tablet while charging it with my phone's charger, the battery still goes down, but only slower. Not only that.. it isn't even a usb c charger.. as in it doesn't accept a usb c to usb c cable (like the one samsung included in the box?) If I want to charge this tablet, I'll need to charge it and not use it. So when I need to charge my phone and this tablet... I have one charger... Would be nice if Samsung included a fast charger with a tablet that has an MSRP of $ 1 , 3 1 9 . 9 9. Now I have to do a bit of research and find a decently good charger... and also a good cable bc I don't know what the cable is for, that came with the s9 ultra... it clearly wasn't for a charger that came with the tablet............... ya know.. bc the tablet didn't... come.. with a charger.....
Even APPLE includes a charger with their 12.9 ipad pro m2... again. let that sink in... even apple,.. a company that chargers $200 for 8GB of RAM in their MBA, is generous enough to include a charger with their premium tablets.
and just understand.. it's the principle. okay? "wow this review is so cringe.. just go buy a charger for $20 and be done with it" see.. if that's what you're thinking, then my point has flown wayyyy over your head.

I would rec this tablet if you're already in the android space. If you don't game. Or if you just want a really nice display for media consumption. I've seen a lot of cool applications for this sized tablet already and that's what is nice about android.. the customization.
If you want to game, no, get an ios device. THO, using this tablet with xbox game pass would probably be pretty nice. I would much rather play xbox game pass on this s9ultra because I like the aspect ratio more, for gaming.
I think for art, you can't go wrong with this tablet unless you're deadset on using procreate.. although there is a procreate copy on android called hipaint, I think? and if you can get superdisplay to work, you could use this tablet as a cintiq bc this tablet can directly connect to a computer with low latency for drawing. That said, I don't think the dev of seconddisplay is updating the app anymore. It's been abandoned for sure. It works.. it's just you can't rely on it if a bug should arise in future versions of android. And Samsung's second display is not good. but i hope samsung keeps trying to make second display better because it's a great concept. Samsung shoulda hired the guy who made SecondDisplay tbh.

Hi, this is the best tablet at the beginning of 2024. It is perfect for media consumption, streaming games, productivity apps, and daily use. Although I use IOS for my mobile device, the Apple alternative to the Samsung tablet is inferior. They might promote the m2 chip as a more powerful option, but truthfully, there is no justified use case for me. Additionally, the Apple iPad has a 4:3 screen ratio, which makes all recent movies look too small or crowded.

This product delivers all it promises in a functional package. Its speed in processing is appreciated for us with busy lives. Not waiting and moving between applications makes working a breeze. Screen clarity exceptional. The larger size allows one to open multiple windows with ease. It does take a little time to get use to the larger size of this tablet, but not too long. Ordering and delivery through Best Buy was easy and dependable. Worth the price. A winner.
